  1. One good game that you saw. The rest of us have seen him play very well most of the season.
  2. Jauron is gone, so 7-9 is gone with him.
  3. As usual, our main problem is that we can't rely on our starters to last through the season. My sense is the starting line of Bell-Levitre-Hang-Wood-Butler is not too bad and will get better with more experience. I would prefer someone with more experience at the LT spot, but my opinion is the starting group has the potential to become very good if they can stick together. Our real problem is with depth, and it's painfully clear that we need to use that depth extensively, especially at the tackle positions. We need better depth. Meredith is a decent option, but he needs to get a lot better. If Simmons has anything left, that would represent good G depth, but beyond that it's pretty ugly.
  4. Outstanding.
  5. Perhaps, although I'm not sure how you can say that Minnesota, Green Bay, and Chicago all have coaches who "have brought their teams to the top of their respective division," considering that: (a) they are all in the same division, (b) only Minnesota is really at the top of the division, with Green Bay hovering around mediocrity and Chicago in a free-fall, (c ) Minnesota's coach was widely considered to be on the hot seat this season and lucked out by getting a youthful Brett Favre, and (d) Chicago's coach is almost certainly going to be fired at the end of the season. I don't necessarily disagree with your approach or argument, just pointing out it isn't as clear and obvious as you would like it to be.
  6. Brother-in-law and family live in Illinois. They are Bears season ticket holders.
  7. Lovie is almost certainly gone in Chicago after this season. Word on the street is that Shanny and Cowher both have a particular interest in that opening.
  8. Partial ownership really surprises me. Ralph would seriously consider giving up a portion of the team? Also, interesting that the discussion is about a 5-year contract. We've been dealing with 3-year contracts for the "new" head coaches to give them a chance to show their stuff, but even though Shanny is a known commodity, being on the hook for 5 years for that kind of coin is impressive.
  9. Didn't you just say two posts earlier that Marty was far and away your first choice?
  10. Gee, thanks Doc. And to think all those years of med school went for **** and I'm still a retard. Say, if I'm having any trouble with any cases in the future can I give you a ring for a consult?
  11. I'll let you figure that one out.
  12. We were leading the TOP battle at halftime by a couple of minutes. In the end, we lost the TOP battle by 13 frigging minutes. That means we essentially gave JAX the ball for an entire quarter in the second half. Are you kidding me?
  13. No fake. Moorman bobbled the snap.
  14. Good call, but wouldn't that be the network (CBS) TV announcers who need the fact check and not DirecTV?
  15. I don't think we need a report to know that...but thanks.
  16. Actually, I would say the outcome was almost a worst-case scenario, with the potentially career-threatening injury to our promising 1st round draft pick who could help stabilize the offensive line for years to come. But please, carry on.
  17. You mean aggressive enough to not even attempt to put the ball in the end zone before the end of the first half? Is that what aggressive has come to mean to this team?
  18. If I was Levitre or Hangarter, I'd be taking out a big insurance policy on myself. I can't imagine how they've lasted this long.
  19. Unbelievable. I remember thinking earlier that one small positive from this year is that the front three lineman have been playing together the whole season getting comfortable with each other, and then not only does the real promising guy get injured, he suffers a potentially career-ending injury. Just un-!@#$ing-believable. He may be able to come back from that, since he's young and bones can mend, but I don't know. That was just nasty. If I wasn't already completely bummed out about this team and this season, that will pretty much do it.
  20. Playing games? Meh. I'm returning to making games. Although I have been thinking about a console. Given what we know now, any thoughts on which to try first? Xbox or PS3?
  21. Damn, I remember being hoarse after a game. Hell, I remember being hoarse by halftime of some games. Been a hell of a long time, though.
  22. He uses magic. Everyone knows that.
  23. Wow, very sad.
