When I read about Sherfield and his troubles trying to get playing time ahead of higher draft players in Miami and Arizona, I felt JA and the BIlls Coaching would see it if he demonstatraed it in camp/preseason, and he would get increased playing time this season. Looks like he is on track for exactly that

ddaryl replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
NORM ! what's going down Mr Peterson?..... My ass on that stool, get me a beer Woody! 25 years is very impressive... it's been the most durable Bills site and they do a fantastic job keeping it up overall I signed up in 2001.... I posted early then hung on other forums mostly for a few seasons including the Bills official forums... but all road lead back here as the unofficial / official Bills forum -
Training Camp (scrimmage) - 8/4 5:00pm - The return of Blue and Red
ddaryl replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
But it does look awful with the red jersey... but I do like it I agree -
he's toast..... stick a fork in him. Even if he does make it back to the field in a short time how long will he last. We cannot depend on him

you are arguing something completely different from what me a fisker where jawing about. you'd have to flow through the entire conversation to see what I saw which was no clarity in his comments You selected a quote out of context... Yes he gets his reps, but I took Fiskers comment at face value when he said we needed to sit Elam till he learns. Which without any context added to that, meant he wanted Elam benched now in training camp. Which he says thats not what he meant and thats where the confusion lies and really could of been dealt with in a single post/reply but for some reason he kept insinuating that I should of read what he wrote and deduced his meaning... Which my reply was basically I've seen to many knee jerk posts making statements that have no basi9s in relaity but I'm supposed to take understand he meant something different

You've been posting here for quite awhile, I have seen my share of takes that were posted and they did mean exactly what they posted. So again because there are plenty of posters with bizzare takes you should articulate. Its not hard to add those minute details. even so you still say sit him, which means he doesn't play a down in the regular season until he proves worthy. You did not say he should not win the CB2 job, you said sit him, which basically is a healthy scratch, and Elam has not done anything so wrong to where he would be a healthy scratch
-
Dude it helps to articulate. The insult was not necessary. You said sit him I took it at face value

When scalpers where making money walking the venues before games thats was illegal. Now that corporate America has its hand in the pie its OK now. Meanwhile lots of scalpers were arrested, fined, and even handed jail sentences back in the day. Now its accepted and has been encouraged. Follows our capitialistic society. Gambling was illegal and only accepted at Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Then just Indian tribes could have Casinos on Soveriegn land, now its a free for all. Gambling on sports was always done in the shadows, now you can do it at the venue through a corporation What is good for the Goose is obviously not good for the Gander.... and Stubhub should be boycotted.

Because how the hell do you get better without reps? He may not win the CB2 job, but he ain't sitting, or being sat. DO we have a CB2 potential candidate that can play press as well as Elam ? if not then Elam gets the call here. WHy is this hard to understand He may not win the CB2 job but you need to articulate your thoughts better. You never even suggested regular season here, which is still a flawed thought. If Elam is not worthy of CB2 when the season is starting then he won't be. But he won't be sitting either he just won't be starting. And I think that will be a game by game decision until Elam shows he can handle zone coverage
-
Sit him when? In training camp / preseason... That just does not make any sense at all. He may not be CB2 when the season starts but that decision will come after preseason is done. But he will never "sit" he will get plenty of playing time one way or another

Josh Allen goes #1 overall to the Browns in a 2018 Redraft
ddaryl replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
would a, could a, should a, but damn glad they did notta -
But he does excel in press coverage and there are times we want that. So to sit him just to make a point seems quite backwards. He may not start some games but start others depending on the opposing team/game plan. Not everything needs ot be black and white

I wonder whom in the NFL has lived to be as old as Marv is...

Jets are releasing WR Denzel Mims if they can't trade him.
ddaryl replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep I don't trust the internets either... I get my info on the World Wide Web -
There is not a HC in this league that would be comfortable with Bellicheck as a DC.... He has been a HC for so long and will be in the HoF. What HC would be comfortable having him looking over their shoulders or having the media and fans having a very public debate about who should be the HC if things don't go perfectly.

Teams are learning how to contain Allen, therefore he has to learn how to win from the pocket. Plenty of times there were receivers open that could of moved the chains that Allen has missed by either trying to run or forcing the ball downfield. I still exepct Allen to run when neccesary, but on paper we have plenty of talent and there really isn't a reason why Allen shouldn't be able to find that underneath guy who can move the chains more often. This is something Allen needs to work on because in next few years the run part of his game will be diminisihing, and he'll need to be able to find the outlet more reliablily.

Why is Tyrod Taylor not more revered in the Bills fan base?

He's actually 4 - 5 2017 Lost Jacksonville WC 2019 Lost Houston Texans WC 2020 Lost to KC Chiefs 2021 Lost to KC Chiefs 2022 Lost to Cinn Begals unfortunately those 5 losses eliminated us from the playoffs all 5 times. The 1st one was forgiveable... After that lots of questions about McDermotts ability to coach a team to a championship.

Thats my biggest fear my 2nd biggest fear is world annihilation before I die.

I think the bottom line fact at this junction is these extensions are premature If by chance we goto the playoffs and implode or fail to show up... again... then I believe we need to move on My confidence in the McDerott and Beane is dwindling. Beane may be good at the salary cap, but the players he has signed and drafted are more misses than homeruns, and alot of Ho-Hum types... Maybe this year is different, but by chance if we see the same type of stuff as last season his extension is going to get ripped as more fans pile on If McD cannot fix our bend don't break D and eliminate playoff gafs, or having a team who looks unprepared for a stretch of the season and seeing it the playoffs then the extension is going to get ripped as more fans pile on I believe this season had to be let's see if they can fix their short comings then we'll talk extension but for some reason Pegula's thought they had to rush to get this done before we actually see the baby I guess I need examples of self-scout and course-correction...

Personally... I think Diggs has a legitimate gripe. He wasn't invited to the room and what we were trying to do against the Benfgals wasn't working. They gave Allen lots of input about stuff (Dorsey Hire for example) but nothing from a All Pro possible future HoF WR is a pass heavy offense I wish it was handled better but I can't be too upset with Diggs either at this junction
