  1. People saw him play in Pittsburgh and he was terrible.
  2. I go back and forth on this all the time. We did win a lot this year and Josh played great. But I've been watching Ja'marr Chase highlights today. All Burrow has to do is throw it in his general direction and good things happen. It's just so much easier to play when you have guys besides the QB that can make plays.Chase takes 10 yard completions and turns them into 50 -yard TDs because he runs away from people. We lack that.
  3. Miles Garrett or Trey Hendrickson is going to Washington. They have a lot of cap space and I'm not sure which one, but one of them is. The Chargers are also a playoff team with over 90 million in cap space. Both teams have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in this years draft too.
  4. Right now, outside of Shakir, we're looking up at Mediocre.
  5. A lot of fans feel like what the Bills did this year on offense is not sustainable. It's hard to predict that a team could win 14 games (they would have won 14 if they needed to) without a single 1,000 receiver and a QB who had fewer than 4,000 yards passing. Seems unlikely to a lot of people that this could happen again. They also want something more fun to watch. You get jealous when you watch Cincinnati and Minnesota with WRs who are always open and making huge plays down the field. The Bills did win a lot, but it was all dink and dunk with a lot of running plays. I know Cincinnati missed the playoffs and the Vikings flamed out early, but they were supremely fun to watch.
  6. Too busy steeling donation checks to study a playbook: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40457877/former-no-1-pick-jamarcus-russell-fired-coach-faces-lawsuit
  7. Jags undoing the high-priced mistakes of Baalke all at once. Will they cut or move Gabe?
  8. What team with a top QB has quality depth at that position?
  9. This feels like Diggs last year. He's angling his way to the Texans. NFL players are starting to act like NBA players and force trades to certain destinations and Houston is the most popular landing spot. Think about it: Young QB who everything thinks is good Warm weather. There are no outside cold weather teams in the division. One of the strip club capitals of the United States. Party-like atmosphere on the team with a players coach. The Dolphins and Texans players have a much better time all season than the Bills and Chiefs players and it has nothing to do with facilities or winning.
  10. It was reported by Schefter that they were "planning to release him," not that they released him.
  11. Sorry, I didn't read the tweet. That is really shocking. He's the only difference maker that they have on defense. They are really willing to just let Joe Burrow run the team.
  12. Only one player in the entire league got hit with the exclusive tag this year. There is a reason for that.
  13. He is still under contract for next year. Mike Brown will ignore any and all trade demands and make players play out their contracts. Diggs would have played for the Bills if Mike Brown was the owner. There is nothing that a player can say or do to force his way out of Cincinnati. He doesn't extend until he absolutely has to and doesn't give huge signing bonuses. Hence the Chase situation. He's also going to make Higgins play on the tag for the second straight year. He's very much an old school owner who treats his players like labor to be exploited. Yes, he broke all these rules for Burrow but that was very much an exception and not a change in management philosophy.
  14. Mitch didn't post that. The Jags did. His last tweet was
  15. He had his first non-playoff season in his 10 year-career and decided that it wasn't worth it to bang his head into that proverbial wall play after play. Good decision.
  16. He had that one big moment against Baltimore in the playoffs, but he's been pretty bad the past two years. Fans here wanted him cut, despite the fact that he's a hometown hero. They were probably going to cut him and he decided to retire rather than play for a lot less money elsewhere.
  17. Do the Bills count as a contender? Certainly not with McDumbass as coach and the worst drafting GM in the NFL's history. Or at least that's the impression I get from reading this board and as we all know, hot takes on the Internet are never wrong.
  18. I wouldn't have done this if I was the Raiders. By the time this deal is up, they may or may not have solved the QB question. Until they do that, they are not going anywhere. But I guess a guy with face and neck tats fits the team image so well that they just had to keep him.
  19. Why are the doomers on here acting like Metcalf just got released and can pick his destination?
  20. He's not. Ty Johnson was just so good at it that Cook got subbed out on third down.
  21. Those stats are meaningless without targets. Adams 114 targets in 11 games with NYJ Cooper 32 targets in 8 games in Buffalo Aaron Rodgers was forcing the ball to Adams.
  22. Ja'marr Chase is publically demanding 40 million. Stafford demanded more money and got what he wanted. Barkley and Josh Jacobs did this exact thing last offseason. Players negotiate on social media all the time.
  23. Beane needs to draw up a contract that Cook's agent can brag about being 15 per, but structure in such a way that the guaranteed money and cap hits are nowhere near 15. That makes it a win-win.
  24. It's a production company that has been doing some work with the league over the last few years. They did that Aaron Rodgers doc and the off-season Hard Knocks last summer: https://skydance.com/sports/
  25. Usually attributed to Nietzsche. It's fitting that Rust would quote him.
