  1. Is was "only" $5,000. Here's the thread:
  2. Didn't some guy on here bet his house on the Vikings without telling his wife? Or at least that's what he said he did. Who was that?
  3. He'll be the Falcons coach come January.
  4. Meine dispatcher says there is something wrong with eine Kabel
  5. Nice title@Simon. Shoulda called it Log Jammin'
  6. Oklahoma State fired Mike Gundy yesterday afternoon. Dabo next?
  7. Cincinnati. If they are rating scouts, they have none to evaluate.
  8. The "author" has nothing to do with this. He just compiled data and quotes. This article is a ranking based on votes by NFL GMs, HCs, and executives. They couldn't vote for their own team. Brandon Beane has a lot of respect around the league for how he goes about his business, and that is reflected here.
  9. That would mean taking unreasonable risks on things like 3-25 in your own end. Sometimes a punt is not the worst result.
  10. BUT CODY FORD?????!!!!!! DON'T THEY KNOW ABOUT CODY FORD?????!!!!!!!!!
  11. The record for the fewest number of punts in a full NFL season was set by the 2024 Lions at 45. And you want zero?
  12. Interesting fact that I just learned. Back in the EARLY days, American football used to be 3-downs to get 5 yards. They didn't add the 4th down until they changed it to 10 yards. The Canadians kept it at 3 downs when they switched to 10 yards in order to force offenses to take more risks.
  13. I'm sure they did focus testing and/or surveys to determine why the NFL gets double the TV ratings of the CFL in Canada. Hence the changes.
  14. The strange thing is that is a grand total of 4 games in 32 years. People have been talking about the '89 game all week, but the other ones were 2001, 2009, and 2017. Not exactly the best Bills teams. https://www.footballdb.com/teams/nfl/buffalo-bills/teamvsteam?opp=20&ha=H
  15. They have problems supporting NHL teams, and their salary cap will buy you a QB and a LB in the NFL.
  16. No need. The NFL has higher ratings in Canada than the CFL. They already chose the NFL. Imagine the Dallas Cowboys flying up to Regina for a Sunday Night game against the Roughriders. Not gonna happen.
  17. Come back to me when they add a 4th down.
  18. I think the pattern this year has been solid colors for night games and mixed colors for day games.
  19. When he left Seattle, this guy made a convincing argument that Russ can only run one offense and attempting to get him to change would spell disaster. I think he has been proven correct with time:
  20. His first start comes against the Chargers. They should have started Winston or stuck with Russ for one more week to let the kid get his feet wet on the road in New Orleans. Jake Browning has thrown 5 picks in 6 quarters this season.
  21. I don't know that the two pitches are common, but it was essentially a triple-option play
  22. Or like when everyone wanted to fire Joe Brady after the failed flea flicker in Baltimore last year.
  23. You want to see a football team try to play with no DBs, don't ya? Just rush all 11 guys. What could go wrong?
  24. Trick plays like that look unstoppable when they work, but when they don't, everyone wants to fire the OC for calling it.
  25. I'm looking at the all-22 for the 4th quarter sacks. The reason I'm doing this is that the Lions will get credit for 7 sacks, but almost all of them came pretty long after the snap. I am interested in if this was good coverage or was it something else. From what I can tell, the Lions went against their tendencies and started mixing in some zone. In the play I'm looking at, I would even ID it as some form of cover two zone in Madden (two high safeties, CB's off the line, and no one went with the man in motion). But the Ravens ran a play that seems to be designed to be a man beater. The screenshot that I attached is a little over a second before Hutchinson sacks Lamar. Look at all that space in the zone! If Tez Walker stops and turns around, that's an easy first. But he doesn't because the play called for deep crossing routes. It seems to me that the wrong play was called against the defense, and even I could have IDed that defense as a zone pre-snap. Jackson needed to change the play at the line. Edit: I looked at it again. They had DJ Reed in man coverage on Zay Flowers on the top of the screen, but they were in a zone everywhere else. And looking at it from the EZ cam, he was staring down Flowers the whole play. Never even looked at the middle of the field.
