Cleveland should be 1-1. The Browns defense is legit. They held Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Chase Brown to 17 yards of offense in the second half. No, I didn't omit a zero. They should have won that game. They lost by a point and had a missed XP and a missed chip shot FG. The Packers have looked good, but they have played two games at Lambeau. Let's see how they look on the road against an excellent defense.
-
You mean two plays before the missed FG when Jones went out for a play? I just checked. It was Shavers out there wide to the left and Moore in the slot. Just to defend Brady a bit, at that point in the game Cook was getting 9 yards pretty much every time he touched the ball.

I am really angry and frustrated about this too, but I'm not sure what is to be done. First of all, teams are forced to draft children. It would be so much better if the draft age was 20. The NBA made this change; why can't the NHL? Every time I pose this question, I get grumbling from Canadians that it's good for the CHL. The NHL is the biggest hockey league in the world, but they have to draft blindly because it's good for the Kamloops Blazers and the Brandon Wheat Kings? You couple that with a league where most players have no-trade clauses, and it is really hard to get off the mat when a team is this far down. No trade clauses pretty much negate the effect of the salary cap on league parity. So, you have to wait 3-4 years to know if a prospect is an NHL player and no vets are willing to play in snowy Buffalo in front of 100 angry fans. It's a tautology; no one will come here because of the empty building and the building is empty because no one will come here. All that being said, continuing on with Adams is clearly not the answer. They need to get a GM and coach with a winning background who will get players to lift their no-trade clauses so that we can trade prospects for guys that can win now. Because the team has to WIN NOW! But Terry doesn't see it that way. But as it stands, this team is more likely to move to Houston than make the playoffs anytime soon. And that would be a shame because Buffalo was one of the great hockey cities in the US.

1) I remember that play. That was also the game when Allen got a penalty for stiff-arming Aaron Donald in his grill. 2) PFR, which is where Google AI gets it data, has a discrepancy in its data. They list 5 passing TDs for Josh in the game logs for 2024, but only 4 in the yearly stats. Hence the 299 vs. 300.

I just watched that one. The Bills did well on that play to force Tua off his mark. What they didn't do well was lose track of Hill as he cut across the middle as Tua scrambled. Benford, who had him, released him to help on Waddle deep. There was no way that Tua, on the run, could throw 40 yards downfield across his body. As it was, he threw across his body on the run. The pass was behind Hill and way too high. Hill made one heck of a catch. He had to reach behind him to get it and was so high off the ground that he probably could have dunked a basketball.
-
Of course. I was joking. Winning is all that matters. I think it's ridiculous that people complain about the lack of long passes after wins. I just need to remember that my sarcasm doesn't always translate to the Internet.

We absolutely live in the moment. Last night, I declared the Bills the best team in the NFL and that the season was over. All in the same game.
-
It was an INT because he Tua couldn't see around the 6'7'', 335lb missile running at him. He had no idea where he was throwing that ball.
-
Nobody's talking about one of Josh's best plays. On the last drive after the INT, on second and long, the Fins were playing the DBs deep but brought a lot of pressure. Josh stepped up in the pocket and found Elijah Moore all alone in the gap between the D-line and the DBs and got a 30 yard completion that ended the game. That step up is something that young Josh didn't do.

The Bills' defense, which is getting roasted on here this morning, prevented the moonshots to Hill and Waddle, got Tua off his first read, and forced him from the pocket. That is usually what you want to do against them. The fact that he made plays that he usually doesn't make is what made the game close. As you say in point 10, they were a desperate team last night and Tua played very well. Or at least he did until all 6'7'' and 331 pounds of Deone Walker got in his face.

Yes, it was.

Now you made me go back and look at that 2013 week 1 loss again. Thanks!

The best chance the Bills had to win the SB was last year. If they had gotten a half inch on one of two questionable spots, they probably make it. Everyone forgets the Bills were 7-6 coming out of the loss at Tampa Bay and had to win out just to make the playoffs. If Matt Ryan hadn't taunted on a play where in fact he failed to reach the EZ, we might have lost at home to a pretty bad Falcons team. We were that close to not even playing in the "prefect game" and the 13-second game. But will it be fun?
-
These rules are designed to get returns, and nobody has come up with a way to game them. Yet.
-
This is all good for the whole "winning games" thing, but old Josh was much more fun to watch.

In theory, this is true, but teams are reluctant to try this because if a kicker hits it slightly wrong and the ball doesn't make it to the landing zone, the consequences are pretty dire. The league wants returns, and so far, they are getting them.
-
But you need to get it to the landing zone in the air. If you just squibbed it like teams used to, its a penalty and the ball is placed on the 40.

Ty Johnson is more likely to score.
