He had a rookie performance, with some good and some bad. He stood in the pocket at times (the tackle on Zay in the first drive that wasn't called by the refs and the dart to KB before the injury) He saw some greeen and took it with his legs. He got sacked on a couple of 3rd downs that was bad (on a delay blitz in the 1st half and by JJ Watt splitting a double team) It would have been great to see the team score on the red zone, I thought he had Croom open for a second but he chose to throw it to Zay Jones, maybe a rookie mistake going to his predetermined guy pre-snap. in the third QTR the Texans were able to minimize McCoy and Ivory's impact and dared the rookie to beat them. He had the long pass to KB, negated by captain Di Marco's penalty and then had the beautiful pass to KB that was his final pass. I believe it was a fine performance by the rookie going into a loud stadium against Watt and Clowney led defense. The outrage comes from losing that game after a fantastic defensive performance. That is what really hurts.

That's the key, we as fan don't know what transpired on any given play. Maybe in one play the guy gets open but the OL doesn't hold, sometimes the OL gives the guy time and there's nobody open. Sometimes Allen bails too quickly on the play. We need to be patient, as I said earlier, Allen's progression won't be pretty.

they could have easily call a late hit by Dawkins today, with the way they are calling the games, I thought that was a sure flag against us.

I hate the inconsistency by the refs throughout the league, that's all I will say about it. I know we could have done a better job offensively or not fumble the ball on ST, but sometimes it makes you wonder about some calls.

Is Nate Peteman the worst QB in NFL history?
Fixxxer replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Know thyself, said the lord. If, after throwing 5 picks on that same !@#$ing pattern, you don't learn that you shouldn't be attempting such pass, you don't belong on a football field. Call an audible to a run, but don't try to attempt a pass that you know you don't have the arm strength to complete it. -
I hated the first pass to Clay, but he connected with him on the same play a couple of plays later. His performance was not great and his progression as a QB won't be pretty but he needs to keep playing (if his elbow is ok) I would have liked to see him more involved with the offense after his injury, put the headset on, see what plays the OC is calling for Peterman.

the guy is trash, it's probably too late in his career that he shouldn't throw the ball to the far hash mark. It's quite porbable that teams are kind of waiting for him to attempt that throw, but WTH, chuck it bro', only positive things can come from it...................for the other team. -

Lacey should be cut at halftime, refs should apply the rulebook equally and we should start challenging Shareece Wright by air -

A few thoughts about the Titans game, in no particular order
Fixxxer replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't hate KB per say, I hate that he doesn't seem desperate to show the league he's the go to guy, that he's a legitimate #1 WR. If he doesn't step up, he won't be on the team next year. -
The Ghost of Rex: Hughes dropping into Coverage?
Fixxxer replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've seen Murphy on coverage as well (IIRC against Minny), some plays you blitz the LB and the DE will vacate his spot to defend the pass. Sometimes both will go after the QB. For it to be a problem, maybe, you don't have to like the coach..... -

I agree, cut Benjamin, feature Zay more on offense. Sign Gillislee back, put McCoy at WR in some packages. Be creative, Ivory and McCoy at the same time on the field. You can use the same plays with Dizzy and Murphy. We're playing with 10 men on the field at times. -

that was just to illustrate the point, I know he's under contract with a CFL team. I would rather field a team of Naamans or Stevies than have a guy like Benjamin jogging to the spot of the next play. -

The no name brigade cared. They were balls to the wall every snap, even if their overall talent level was subpar. Even Woods, Hogan and Goodwin were the same way. You see Benjamin and Holmes with their nonchalant attitude towards the play, the snap, the route. You can't win consistently with these guys. Bring back Naaman.... -

I think Moorman punting for 40370 yards in Buffalo is a bigger story, but that's just me..... -

Priority: Develop Allen or Win Ugly?
Fixxxer replied to Berky1010's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
according to the media narrative after yesterday's game, Allen's progression has taken a back seat because the gameplan against the Titans was to feature McCoy and Ivory. At least that's what I got from several journalists, maybe I'm wrong. -
Is Josh Allen just a taller Tyrod Taylor

Do you realize that you're complaining about the offensive coaching staff for not putting the ball in the hands of the QB you don't trust?
