I was always afraid of my friend's bloodthirsty black doberman named Nippur. The dog was trained to defened the owners and the house, it was literaly a puppy with the owner and a serial killer with everyone else. Nippur de Lagash was a comic book character created here in Argentina. The character was a nomad and vicious killer. That name is awesome if your dog isn't a chihuahua or some other small breed.

What about Demetrius Bell?
Fixxxer replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem Bell has, is that every team is in the same situation as us but with the downside of not knowing him as a person or his work habit. Everything is possible in life, so he might get a contract that far exceeds expectations and reason but teams won't line up to sign him and make him a high paid LT with health issues. I hope this is the case and he can come back. If he receives an offer I hope he gives Buddy the chance to match it. I like Hairston and I think I like him more for the right side of the line, but when Gailey was interviewed he said he liked Hairston but that he would prefer not to pencil him as a starter just yet, in a way of saying that he still not ready. -
Merriman will quiet his doubters this year
Fixxxer replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nix won't get his hands dirty for a million, he won't toss Merriman to the curb at this point. He had surgery and is trying yet again to come back, if he can't then he will be released. -
I don't know if it would be wise to draft a QB that wouldn't fit with the offense your starting QB runs. This kid would make sense on the Eagles, Browns or Redskins. I can see Cousins as the perfect back-up to Fitz, at least from this years draft.

Most Important Position to Fill
Fixxxer replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Correct, except when he played defensive end at Maryland. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A6098-2005Apr20.html http://www.umterps.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/merriman_shawne00.html -

Go to Bills.com, click on all videos from Janaury and there is a very interesting interview with him on Bills focus.

I voted other because I really don't have a clue who they might draft. It is still very unclear, to me, what will happen.

This is great news. After Nix's words I thought Chandler would at least try to see his value up in FA. To those that say keeping the status-quo is not improving you are seeing things in a vacuum. Stevie and Chandler are entering their prime. Experience and development can't be overlooked. Replace those guys with rookies and in certain situations they would hesitate to react, you will have to wait for them until they learn. You bring a veteran on his last legs, he will be able to see the play but will be late to the hole, a step late to stop the ballcarrier. (A. Davis) That was the MO during this failed decade. Replace the guys you developed for green rookies or past their prime veterans.

Ambition is a helluva drug

I hate it when that happens, I was watching Mercilus' videos on youtube and I thought #99 was the more notable player on that DL. Regarding Crick, he has 1st round talent, so if he's there with our 2nd round pick I think you have to take him. This guy is versatile and relentless rushing the passer, I like his closing speed, he sees red and he attacks.

Buddy Nix likes big, physical cornerbacks so I guess he could be a possibility late in the draft. I don't know much about the guy, though he looks good on that video. I really hope Rogers and Williams can make a big jump in their second yaar as pros.

FWIW, from PFF: http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2012/02/22/ranking-the-2011-offensive-lines-part-1/ I wouldn't be opposed to bring him in but at what cost? How much money will he be asking?

Torell Troup was a 4-3 DT for UFC. He was drafted because he dominated his conference and could split double teams. When he was drafted, the card read disrutpive DT that plays the 1 and 3 techinique that could potentially play zero technique. Had we drafted Cody, he would be a true misfit for Wanny's defense. Troup is a failed pick so far, not because of poor ability but because of health problems.

Negative Buzz from the Combine...
Fixxxer replied to biggerdaddynj's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Things I didn't like: Jeffrey, was he even at Indianapolis? Kendall Wright and Burfict, unprepared and dissapointing Upshaw, I wanted to see his 10 yard split but he refused to run, he showed stiff hips on LB drills. Vinnie Curry, ran a poor 40 and then dissapeared. Acho's injury, I hope he is ok. -

I really like Easley's potential but if I were part of the FO I wouldn't put all my chips on his side to become the #2 WR. It's a big gamble.

I get it now, thanks John.

Maybe half thruths is not the correct term to make my point, I should have said omitted information. Ok, we know they are far apart, why not say where are they far, in salary? What if Stevie wants what's been reporter (7.5 or 8) but wants crazy guaranteed money? Maybe he wants a 3 year contract and the Bills want to secure his services for more years. I guess, it's just me wanting to know more about this particular situation, hopefully they can sit down at the Combine and reach some common ground.
-
But why deliver the thruth in such ambiguous way? As a consumer, this half thruths don't mean much to me because they're so open for different interpretations.

I don't know who is better, but I like Reiff the most. He's a mean run blocker, he finishes every play and destroys people at the second level, you have to love that about the guy. Martin could be the best pass blocker but I think Reiff has more room for improvement. I would not complain if we drat either at 10.

If Stevie Johnson is not retained by the Buffalo Bills
Fixxxer replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really like Bell and was always supportive of him when people posted or thought the guy was awful and had no place being the OT starter. I wish Nix can re-sign him but his price tag is such a grey area that I don't think I can blame the guy if other team overpays for him and takes him away. I would re-sign him with health clauses and incentives regarding playing time, but that is easier said than done. He will want to get paid and some team might just do that. I won't be mad at Nix if that happens. -
People forget that Stevie has freedom to run any route he wants in any way he wants to, within Chan Gailey's system. The system in place is perfect for a guy like Stevie and hopefully he will put that into consideration when he meet with other teams' OCs. His style of play might not be deemed viable by a structured OC. I know money will be a factoc but I believe he will give the Bills their oportunity to match any contract offer he might get, unlike POS, sorry, POZ.
