I agree that Carrington is not the greatest contributor but I don't see how he automaticly has to go in the offseason. If there's a clear upgrade in the offseason to supplant him, sure, do it, but why create another hole in the roster? He's excellent on special teams. blocking FGs and in KOs paired with McIntire in the wedge. Spencer Jonhnson should be the one thinking about job security, he's the veteran that should be contributing paired with someone like Dareus or KW. Very dissapointed with his play this year, to tell you the thruth I would prefer to see a younger kid right now (Gilbert or Ross are in the PS), they would bring a different energy to the rotation, maybe one of the two is the next Kyle Moore.

We almost killed ourselfs again with penelties

They missed a couple of Hairston's holding penalties on Wake, but those we can live with. The pre-snap penalties are mounting and those are unacceptable. -
WE WON!!! [Thank your favorites thread]

This game should have been over by the end of the second quarter. The Dolphins offense didn't step a foot in Bills' territory until the 4th quarter. You can settle for FGs once a game not four times. -
Sheppard had a good game tonight, he was able to run free to the ballcarrier on many occasions and the DL dominated their guys in the first half. I noticed a lot of Searcy tonight too.

So Barnett called the shots on defense?

Merriman has talent and it shows at times, hopefully he doesn't suffer any setbacks. Moore really wants it and plays like it, nice pick-up by Nix.

How about that 2 Million Dollar Spectator

I think they don't want to give up that conditional pick by activating him for more than six games (if I'm not mistaken about that figure) When and if we are out of it, we might see him play, but I wouldn't bet on it. -
Jauron vs Gailey, Who's better, not even close!
Fixxxer replied to USABuffaloFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the better question would be Jauron/FO Vs. Nix/Gailey. What do you prefer? Jauron had better records as a HC but he kept recycling his roster with none apparent improvements. Gailey chose his QB and systems and is failing as a HC but I believe the overall talent that he will probably leave on the table when he's replaced, is better than what Jauron left at the time of his firing. A new HC could be lured with the talent in place right now, I can't say the same thing 4 years ago, with no OL and DL. -
I don't necesarily agree, but it is understandable for us fans to see this as a loser mentality. At that point in the game I don't see it that way.

And yet we got the points and the ball back with a minute and two seconds on the clock. This games was lost by a sum of things. That decision was not the one that lost it. We couldn't stop Andre Johnson. We had no answers for him. On that 3rd and 2 that Gilmore gave a big cushion because he was already victimized by him and he just played it safe. We couldn't read misdirection, being a rookie LB or a 10 year veteran. We get easily duped by it every single game. We couldn't run on 3rd and 1, Spiller got stuffed. We couldn't stop Foster on 3rd and 11 when we got them pinned down on their 5 yard line. We are not a tough team and worst of all we're not a smart one either.

damn, that was a sad and tragic story.

Brooks coming back to practice this week!

Awesome news. We need this guy back, maybe we can experiment some with Aaron Williams at safety. -
With the same playcalling and WRs a more accurate QB this game is not even close. As you said, Chan thought Fitz would improve some with him being in his 3rd year back with the same offense and some tweaks in his footwork. It feels, as a fan, that we are not going forward as we should because Fitz didn't take that next step in consistency, in fact, one can think, watching him play that he's regressing because he's thinking too much. If I'm Gailey and Fitz starts cold against the Titans I sit him for a series or two, let him know what is at stakes and that he needs to re-focus. I see Fitz not being challenged by his back-up and being complacent with his status on the team. About Wood, I agree, he's the main cog that keeps the OL togheter, he's the unquestioned leader of that group. I would like for him to have more faith in his shotgun snap, A pro center can't let the opposition know the exact moment the ball is snapped to the QB.

I was never impressed with the guy but I hope he does well with the Packers. Good luck Johnny.

Bradham [how did Nigel do in the game?]
Fixxxer replied to NickelCity's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree, I like Bradham and his energy but he left several plays on the field today. Time will tell with him but Moats was playing well up to his benching, IMO. -

Things I liked not mentioned on this thread: Kyle Williams destroying Darnell Dockett on Freddie's TD. He lined up as a FB and had a key block for the TD. SJ is money and Jones and Graham are becoming dependable targets if the ball is well thrown, Sometimes I feel our WRs take undeserved criticsm. Depth on the OL, we had three back-ups and they played well against a good front 7. Kyle Moore had a solid game. Clutch interceptions by Byrd. Carrington making a difference yet again on ST. What I didn't like: Wood's pickaboo before every shotgun snap, it tells the defense when it's a go every time. This can't happen with a pro center. Fitz, I didn't think it could happen but it has gotten worse. You can see the WR aren't happy with his misfires. Letting Fitzgerald one one one with Barnett on their TD. Can't happen. -
Really Worried about the Pats Rookie DE this weekend.
Fixxxer replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jones is a long, tall player and he's always using his long arms to his advantage, he's always flapping his arms to find a weakness or a bad move by the LT to gain leverage. I believe for a rookie that is impressive, generally they all try to run past the LT and beat them with speed. Glenn needs to be patient and not overreact to Jones first move and battle back with his own long arms. -

Patrots offense looks different with all the snaps Brady is taking out from under center, the end of the Welker crossing route era in NE? It sure looks like a more traditional, vertical offense.

That was a successful gut check...

I didn't like the call against Aaron Williams on Byrd's interception either, there was contact, but it was not incidental and the ball was badly thrown. If they called that one they should have flagged Sheldon Brown all afternoon everytime he covered Stevie,
