  1. You can't win the argument on the issues can you. Thought so.
  2. I know people who have not had health insurance for years and have no intention of buying it. Are we fining anyone that doesn't comply? Doubt it. I spoke to one of these people yesterday who is so defiant he says he may not even file a tax return. He has skipped doing that in the past some years he says. Nobody bothers him about it. He's self employed. He doesn't give a ****. Talking to him is pretty funny.
  3. Tell your kids to become hairdressers. You actually have to touch the person to perform the service.
  4. Those that promote entitlements. Those that are anti-economic growth (Obamacare, increased taxes, regulation). Failure to make changes that inspire economic confidence in both consumers and business leaders.
  5. TT is not the problem with this team. He's done a very good job IMO. The defense has often underachieved based on expectations. Expectations that were based on last year with a nearly identical defensive roster.
  6. 4 plays that drove me nuts yesterday. Three 3rd and relatively shorts (2-4 yards) and a 4th and short. On each of the 4 plays, Taylor threw the ball deep, low percentage throws. All were incomplete and drive stoppers. Don't know if that's the play called or Taylor taking the deep option. Move the chains dammit. Taylor isn't Aaron Rodgers yet.
  7. One thing I don't understand is why so many HC contracts are guaranteed. Teams put themselves in a tough spot if a recently hired coach doesn't do well and then you're on the hook for 2-3 more years of salary. No idea what Rex's deal looks like but if it's a typical guaranteed deal, he'll be expensive to replace anytime soon. I think most think he's underachieving with the player talent he has to work with.
  8. Consider yourself among the lesser informed and among those who can't prioritize well.
  9. When you take all the opinion and partisanship out of the equation and any objective measurable analysis is done, those are the big issues and they aren't being tackled. If we had an informed electorate we wouldn't have people using their votes primarily for pot legalization, a higher minimum wage, evil banks, free college and the myth of man made climate disaster while the the large supporting pieces of the country are in the shitter.
  10. There is certainly some of that but at least the right understands that the top 5 issues we face are debt/deficits, the economy, immigration, security and entitlements. The left isn't even on the playing field instead spending most of their time on climate change, war on women, race, evil banks and "fairness".
  11. It is the Republican's fault since they blocked any effort to encarcerate Gitmo folks in US prisons. Obama had no choice but to let him go.
  12. We elected Obama twice as a country, so the electorate as a whole is capable of very bad decisions. You can counter that with twice for Bush too.
  13. I'd support banning 90% of everyone coming in regardless of religion until we get our immigration practices shored up.
  14. Haven't paid close attention to him prior to this year and given the length of the campaign I expected more depth in his presentations.
  15. I'm going with double dumbass because if he had presented himself as a more measured, detailed and articulate candidate hitting all all of the same hot topics - he'd be running away with the nomination. This was still possible in September. Now it's over IMO. My guess is in his business that he has some pretty sharp analytical and project management folks working for him. I expected to see some of these skills from him in the campaign. Thought there would be more to him than just what we see on TV.
  16. That's not my position or what I posted.
  17. We allow 1 million a year legally and a case can be made that this is too many given the current economic and job climate. We allow (yes we do allow them) another very large group here illegally. We don't know much about those entering illegally. Many are bad. The cost to local and federal governments is very high. They drive down the wages of Americans. We have another large number that overstay their visa's and even today we don't often know their whereabouts (see 9/11 attackers). There are people oversees threatening to come here and do bad things. The FBI now says we can't verify backgrounds of many. So rather than continue to manage immigration poorly, I think it needs to be cleaned up and reduced in size until we can manage it well. For $30 or so you can buy the series of documentary films "They Come To America". In case you're interested, I assisted in all 3 of the films.
  18. That is a terrible and meaningless analogy. Immigration is not a project. It is a process of granting rights requested by non-citizens. It is our country extending a hand to people. It has been a good thing for this country historically but there are too many abuses and risks of late and citizens are being harmed in more ways than one.
  19. Yes, and the law does not say we can't temporarily reduce immigration and it certainly does not say that we have to let **** that runs like **** continue to run like ****. There is also a process for changing the law, so no I don't accept that things have to stay so !@#$ed up and immigration is really !@#$ed up.
  20. Yes, but you can be sure that when any such investigation is complete that the administration will condemn the act. Carry on, Iran.
  21. We need to go to near zero immigration, fix the shortcomings and resume once things are fixed. That's what I would do. Run it the way a good business would run it. ****, if Obama and Jeh Jeh showed up at a meeting in a real company and reported over and over to their superiors anything that resembles our immigration system they would be escorted to the parking lot.
  22. Hey, we've got our hands full with climate change and racism. Iran will have to wait.
  23. We owe those here illegally and those that want to come here absolutely nothing. Zero, zip, zilch. Now, if we are going to have an immigration program, we have it on our terms. For me that means it has to pass the tests of being secure, fair to our existing citizens, to the benefit our our nation and good for those that come in. What we have now is failing on all 4 IMO.
  24. The left considers her a terrorist.
  25. She's Eric Holder II which is no surprise. The Justice department is the civil right department. Obama has actually used many of the federal agencies to further his various screwy agendas.
