  1. You started this thread and have had 10 pages to post whatever changes you think should be made and so far I see nothing. Are you a politician? You sound like one ranting about a problem and demonizing those that don't agree with you and never proposing anything for others to consider. So far your position is that you're right on the issue, others are wrong but you can't/won't say what will make a difference.
  2. Did anyone notice what the temperature was yesterday or the sea level or the smog level? Could that have enraged the shooters in San Bernardino?
  3. So how should guns laws be changed and what would you expect to be the results from those changes?
  4. Chicago prohibited handgun ownership for city residents until latter 2010. The law changed to allow handguns but there were some controls in place including a permitting process that could take 4 months to complete. Murder rates have been essentially flat for the past 10 years. In other words, allowing guns did not cause the murder rate to rise. Actually if you go further back than 10 years and adjust for population growth, you could argue that the murder rate has slightly declined since allowing handguns. http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Society/2010/0702/Chicago-passes-revised-gun-law-allowing-handgun-ownership https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Chicago
  5. OK, what is the solution and which of the recent mass shootings would have been prevented had we implemented what you propose?
  6. Sad but sooooooooooooo true.
  7. So ISIS has now beheaded a Russian.
  8. Except half of the people buy his bull ****. We are a nation of immigrants idiots.
  9. It's different. He was not well known and his shortcomings were not as apparent at that time. Hillary has left a very public trail of dishonesty which she'll have to defend like she has never before. She's running basically unchallenged now. That'll change once the nominations are done.
  10. At the very least I am saying this.... The mayor was aware of the incident The mayor was aware that there was a video and what it showed The mayor was aware that a request was made to release the video The mayor was aware that the video was not released until the last legal moment required The mayor did not order it released any earlier The mayor and law enforcement benefitted from the video not being released sooner At the most the Chicago police will be investigated for civil right violations and changes will be made. Rahm and the prosecutor will get political cover for sure in the process.
  11. Yes, but in the end there will be 1 Republican standing tall ready to take on Hillary. She will be hammered in the campaign and it will be easy pickins.
  12. Serious question: Does it bother you at all that Hillary made the decision to install and use a private server which was likely not as secure as a government server and that her email history is being controlled by her rather than the State Department?
  13. The timing of the release of the video and charges are fishy for sure. There should be little doubt that it was delayed until well after the election for political reasons. Chicago Mayors stay in power forever because they control the message and the money. They police themselves. They run for re-election nearly unchallenged. No Republican even ran for the office this last go around and the Democrat challengers were complete idiots. Chicago voters are political idiots. What few Republican voters there are in the city don't show up at the polls for mayoral elections and they are so outnumbered it doesn't really matter. It's literally a one-party system, so Rahm will be mayor until he doesn't want to be mayor any longer, just like Daley before him and others. In his defense he's cleaned up some of the messes left by Daley, but anything that can harm him politically will be buried and there won't be much tide against him.
  14. The last couple pages reminds me of this. Still a favorite.
  15. So you don't want to be confused with facts? Your mind is made up?
  16. By any measure, the President is full of crap. Virtually every country has episodes where someone in support of some "cause" shoots, stabs or blows up a bunch of people.
  17. Pretty ambitious, but then again Obama is going to leave a very large bag of crap for his successor. Payback I suppose for the bag crap Bush left for him.
  18. Who's advising Obama? When he has a chance to change the subject from ISIS to climate change, he goes to great lengths to relate the two to each other.
  19. Google "FDR was a bad president" and you'll find a lot that has been written. Of course if you subscribe to liberal policies, you won't like what you read.
  20. Consistency is only a virtue if you aren't a screwup.
  21. In fairness to the protesters, they are protesting and complaining of Rahm and his staff waiting 13 months to file charges and release the video. Doesn't justify some of the behavior but that delay does have a bad odor around it.
  22. We've known for decades that FDR was a lousy President so we can save ourselves from the next societal experiment and not elect Bernie.
  23. That was probably one of the shooter's last lucid and productive activities. We'd all be better off today if he simply continued that and had not gone off the rail.
  24. One more reason to despise this President.
