  1. Just checking in here on this first official Sunday with no football on...I had forgotten how much longer the weekend feels and how much more productive you can be when you don't spend the entire day watching football lol. I will probably end up watching the Super Bowl next week but can totally understand why people would rather do something else. This is coming from someone who years ago considered Super Bowl Sunday the biggest day of the year lol....I dunno just feels like the NFL and society/pop culture in general have gone in a completely different direction over the years to me.
  2. I get that. And I highly doubt Mahomes will end up winning as many Super Bowls as Brady did but if you are doing a comparison of their careers you can't knock Mahomes for not having as many Super Bowl wins as a guy who had a 20 year career. That's an insane take
  3. RIP Chubbs
  4. Not applicable in this case. Mahomes still has a lot of prime years left
  5. Only thing he is missing from Brady's resume is the longevity....which is the kick in the nuts for Bills fans because at this rate he has the potential to keep going for awhile.
  6. So sorry for your loss!
  7. He's such a good dude. Just watched the Kelce documentary last night and watched their podcast after the Buffalo game last week. The more I learn about him the more I become a fan. This dude would've been all time Buffalo Bills legend if he played here but we can still appreciate his greatness. His wife is pretty awesome too
  8. She made it to the Super Bowl in her first year in the NFL. How many can say that?
  9. Pinto Ron is that you?
  10. The Bills would be the laughing stock in all of Sports if they used We Are the Champions as one of their stadium songs
  11. Super Bowl commercials haven't been relevant for about a decade now
  12. As much as I hated Patriots I was never at the point during their run where I didn't want to watch the Super Bowl but with the Chiefs having an equally obnoxious dynasty immediately following the Pats run I think I am starting to feel some fatigue on watching the same thing over and over.
  13. I remember the days they used to play Thunderstruck and Crazy Train by Ozzy at the stadium all the time That was more of a Sabres thing here in Buffalo
  14. This is something I noticed as well this year. I mean the obvious one is Taylor Swift but not only that...all of the attention Tommy Devito's agent and the Philadelphia Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro got, the NFL is slowly starting to have WWE like storylines as a sideshow to the football games.
  15. On the bright side at least it won't be with the Jets
  16. I respect their greatness but I'm just sick of the Chiefs at this point and the sideshow that comes with it now with certain people that I won't even bother mentioning. And I hate having to listen to this whole narrative about how the NFL is rigged and scripted for the Chiefs to get there because of the ratings because of a certain someone. I don't believe that's true but I just hate the fact this has become a narrative. The Niners I feel kinda meh about as well, as an organization they have either been to the Super Bowl or NFC championship game so many times already and there is nothing exciting about Brock Purdy. Like I just mentioned above, yes I probably will end up watching the game but this just feels kinda lame this year. I was actually very excited for the Championship games today.
  17. I mean ultimately I probably will end up watching but this matchup just feels so stale. Will def not be going out to any Super Bowl parties or anything like that for this game
  18. Can we hang a banner for this?
  19. I would but I can also acknowledge Campbell has his own flaws. But I've still been overall really impressed by the program he has put in place in Detroit.
  20. Well this is the one Super Bowl outcome I was dreading going into the games this weekend and the one outcome that will have me seriously considering not watching the Super Bowl this year
  21. I really believe this year a ton of traditional NFL fans will tune out the Super Bowl but it won't matter because the ratings will be through the roof because of the Swifties 🤢
  22. I think it's probably a combination of both. Beane and McDermott have built a very good football program, one that has us winning divisions and getting out of the wildcard every year but the problem is they haven't built a true Championship contender. The optimists say stuff like "well If this, that, and this didn't happen we would be right there" but the problem is these variables happen every year with us. Seeing the Chiefs reach the Super Bowl yet again after going through their own version of that this year during the regular season should be a real eye opener. I think the analogy of the Phillip Rivers Chargers teams is spot on for this current Bills era.
  23. I have similar feelings. I have pretty much come to terms that I will be rooting hard for Detroit the rest of the way....But if they do come up short will feel a sense of relief they didn't get one before us.
  24. Can't believe it's been 33 years. I remember when it was the 20th anniversary like it was yesterday.
  25. Newspapers will be long gone by the time the Bills win a Super Bowl
