I think it has really evolved over the years. Especially living in the social media era, people see other people having a blast and then it becomes contagious. We have a group that has been doing an annual Bills road trip for at least the last decade but with the arrival of Josh Allen and the Bills becoming a very relevant team the Bills road game thing has ramped up to a whole new level

I was out there. Was an incredible time. I was really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere inside Lumen Field and was excited to see how loud it can get but the Seahawks fans were a big dud. Don't get me wrong all of the Seattle fans I encountered over the weekend were super friendly and good people but I was talking to a local and he said the demeanor of Seahawks fans has changed a lot in the last decade. He said the crowds there have really quieted down over the last few seasons. I thought the stadium was awesome though, and I am sure the design helped out in the noise department even when the Seahawks were much better. It would be insane to see what that stadium packed full of Bills fans could sound like.

I'm packing right now, bringing the rain gear and my Bills Winter hat. Sucks the weather is going to be what it is, I have never been out that way and really looking forward to exploring the city. Tomorrow looks dry at least, will probably get all of the sightseeing out of the way then and stay dry by hanging out at the bars on Saturday.

Apparently the Giants are cutting Boogie
BillsPride12 replied to Snappysnackcakes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember when he was drafted they really talked up how he was somebody that was going to be able to play both positions but it turns out he couldn't play either -
It's a cool city, a cool stadium and the fans there are pretty friendly. Denver is also full of a lot of good breweries and gastropubs. It was one of the marquee road games on the schedule that year so Bills fans were everywhere which always makes it a blast

I did Denver in 2014. Was an awesome experience, would def make that a bucket list trip for a Bills game

When we were kids we used to call him Jelly Ball and just thought it was the funniest thing ever lol

How many TBD members are heading out to Seattle this weekend? I'll be arriving early Friday. Will be at the Bills Backers party Saturday night and the big Fans of Buffalo tailgate on Sunday!

I will be out there, we arrive early Friday. Think we are doing the sightseeing stuff on Friday and don't think I will be at the Bills Backers event that night but we will def be at the Bills Backers party Saturday night and the big Fans of Buffalo tailgate on Sunday. We are also going to the Seattle Kraken game Saturday night. Should be an awesome weekend!

Schefter: Metcalf considered “week to week”
BillsPride12 replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe that was the week he took them out for cheeseburgers at Mickey D's -
I find all of the shows to be pretty bad, the only one I try to make a habit out of watching every week is NFL Primetime

The best part is his story is far from written. I absolutely believe he has it in him to get us back to big dance before his career is over

Week 7, Titians v. Bills, GAME BALLS!
BillsPride12 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
He's been awesome all year...this is looking like a great draft pick especially for a 3rd rounder -
I love a good Buffalo Bills and pop culture crossover...Will Wolford and Kent Hull(RIP) on the set of Cheers during Super Bowl week in 1992. Very cool, never saw that pic before.

That's one thing the modern NFL is severely lacking in my opinion. The badass teams with the wild larger than life personalities. The 85 Bears, the 90s Bills and Cowboys teams. You can go back even further to the 70s Steelers and Raiders teams. There were some awesome characters in the NFL in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Look at the Chiefs who are the big dynasty team in the NFL right now. What's the most exciting thing about them off the field...what fancy restaurant or club Travis Kelce spent the weekend with Taylor Swift at?

I didn't mean it as a knock on Lindy but yes your point about him realizing the team is probably further away than he might have thought going into this is where I was coming from. I just detected a different demeanor from the Lindy I remember in the first go around.

Those intro's were all fantastic. The old NBA on NBC intro's in that same time period were incredible as well. I am guilty too of the Nostalgia curse. But I think sometimes it's fair to just say certain things used to be better. I get nothing remains stagnant and things evolve over time but in the case of the NFL it has really changed so much over the years that it doesn't resemble the same sport we grew up watching.

This one was incredible too!

This is the NFL I grew up on! This 3 minute clip still gives me goosebumps. I miss the old NFL production, sure the presentation is much more polished these days but it completely lacks the heart and soul of the yesteryears. NFL football used to be sacred hobby but it feels like such a sham in the modern era for all of the reasons many of you have listed in the last 7 pages

This is 100% spot on! I have made the comment on here before but I feel like the NFL is trending towards what the NBA is currently where sure revenue and ratings are higher than ever but the true fans and purists of the sport will tell you the modern NBA sucks and don't watch it anymore.
