  1. Gotta love the World Wide Web... http://worldnewss.net/busy-low-season-adopted-by-way-of-draft-bust/ Some real gems, but this is my favorite: "...in spherical 6, with the 194th choose the Bills selected Nick O’Leary TE from Florida State. aside from Miller, no Payments draft choose has a greater shot at quick having fun with time than O’Leary. He is a tough- nosed participant at a spot the place the Bills could be utilizing a number of gamers on a mess of snaps – and it will not be sudden if O’Leary, whose upside is restricted, nonetheless emerged because the Payments’ No. 2 tight finish this 12 months."
  2. Agreed. But they've always been breasts on a bull, even back in the day. The only guy who ever had an ounce of credibility was Joel Buchsbaum, the original draftnik...
  3. Another fun story on O'Leary... http://www.pgatour.com/champions/news/2015/05/02/nicklaus--grandson-o-leary-drafted-into-nfl.html http://golfweek.com/news/2015/apr/30/nfl-draft-stock-nick-oleary-jack-nicklaus-tight-en/ Grampa says... "Someone is going to get a much better player than they think they are going to get.”
  4. Could that impact a team's ability to sign Collins when the dust settles? Daddy Pegs could write that check...
  5. Draft pundits aren't much different than movie critics, music critics, wine critics, political analysts, money managers, doctors, lawyers, marriage counselors, newspaper columnists, economists, socialogists, meteologists, Jerry Sullivan (he deserves his own category)... http://www.shortlist.com/entertainment/films/bad-reviews-for-good-movies
  6. Somewhat less interesting than this... http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-lead/wp/2015/05/03/tom-brady-successfully-pulls-double-duty-goes-from-kentucky-derby-to-mayweather-vs-pacquiao-fight/
  7. Only 7 QBs were drafted this year--the worst showing since 1955 Not the year to reach for any of these guys, regardless of the importance of the position... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/03/seven-quarterbacks-drafted-fewest-since-1955/
  8. Nothing wrong with a C-. We didn't have a first and the even though Darby, Miller and O'Leary will see the field, they won't be hugh difference makers in 2015, given the talent already on the roster. Still satisfied with the draft and now let's sign a few more vets and move on to SJF...
  9. There's no way Ozzie give up a DROY candidate, even for Woods. And now that they've addressed WR in the draft, even less reason... Imo He'll be 30 in September and my sense is Chip likes younger guys he can mold. I think the Bears might be a better trade partner for McLuv'n...
  10. Vernon Davis (6'3" 250) was pretty good IIRC...
  11. Let's get our facts straight here. He did not "run over" a girl on Chippewa Street. If you've ever driven down there on a Saturday night, it's like an open pedestrian mall with drunks tottering around with zero regard for traffic. Apparently he bumped a girl in the hip and had no idea that he'd hit anyone. A lot different than running someone over... "It was raining real hard, there was a dancing pedestrian in the middle of the street," the 22-year-old Lynch said before the hearing. "I slowed down to let her go and continued on my way home. I didn't know my car had hit anyone or anything." During the hearing, Police Officer Allan Kasprzak said the woman Lynch struck, Kimberly Shpeley, bruised a hip and required seven stitches for a cut on her thigh. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3463965
  12. My bird would love it, I'm sure...
  13. Of course there are people like that. Why at least a quarter of TSW posters have perfect 20/20 hindsight. They're right every time...
  14. Of course not. But that body type is exaxcly what Roman likes to use in his scheme--more of an H-back, move-type (Clay-like) guy than the Gronk/Graham monster TE....
  15. The 2015 season will hinge on it. It will be the most closely scruitinized aspect of SJF for sure...
  16. Nice story on O'Leary's draft-day experience... http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/sports/football/bills-select-oleary-in-sixth-round-ending-tense-da/nk7xL/ "The biggest adjustment for a family of lifelong Miami Dolphins fans - Jack Nicklaus still owns Dolphins season tickets - will be switching their allegiance to one of the team’sMiami’s arch nemesis." “We’ll do what we have to do,” Nan O’Leary said. “Go Bills.”
  17. Me too. It seems like Payton would have a recruiting edge there.
  18. Moving inside to guard, his mobility is good enough to be effective in all but a few zone blocking schemes. There will be quite a few suitors with starting jobs to dangle in front of him, most of which will be in more attractive cities for a kid from the deep south...
  19. He only missed one of Nick's home games in college, so I suspect he'll be invited to a LOT of corporate boxes at the Ralph....
  20. Exactly. The Bills new strategy is to go with ankle biters inside rather than tree trunks...
  21. Yes, I heartily endorses having two HOF quarterbacks lead the team over an uninterrupted 23-year period as well. Sign me up...
  22. Looks like he gets to pick his team. I doubt it will be the Bills, since it won't be an auction... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/05/02/collins-plans-to-sign-once-hes-cleared/
  23. I'm surprised they're signing so many UDFAs, given Whaley's comment about so few draft picks likely making the team. I guess Pegs has said to spare no expense...
