  1. Why don't you give us your "facts" on why Chris Kelsay's extension was a good move? That post alone took away any credibility you had to evaluate a situation.
  2. ^^^+++ THIS. Some of you simply whine for the sake of whining. If Nix or Gailey don't make these changes, you whine about why he isn't making them. When they do, you whine about why it took them so long. Get the sand out of your bajingo, understand that this is a complete rebuild and this season is an open audition for all the players, and stop comparing the current regime to the regimes of the past 9+ years. Can we give them more than ONE offseason and 3 games before we start complaining?
  3. Well...the Niners just fired their OC 2 games into their season (their 6th OC in 4 years) and no one seems to be b!tching about that.
  4. Still a little butt hurt that your boy got cut huh? It must have been the fans' fault.
  5. Trent Edwards said his favorite actress was Dakota Fanning. If there was ever a sign we needed to get rid of him, that was it.
  6. You're just trying to get the Senator's attention aren't you?
  7. Sorry if I came off snarky but this is the 3rd Vick-related post after just 2.5 starts. I am one of those people who felt Vick deserved a second chance and that the Bills should take a flyer on him but the "I told ya so's" coming out after just TWO full starts against sub-par teams is the equivalent of all those people who claimed the Bills were SB-bound after their mirage of a 5-1 start. You said it in your post that he is the NFL MVP right now? That's just silly hyperbole. As for Green Bay, how exactly did he "shred" them in a loss? The Packers defense game-planned all week for Kevin Kolb, of course they'd be susceptible to Vick who brings a totally different dynamic to the QB position with his ability to escape the pocket and run. I'll be impressed with Vick if he can keep up this pace now that teams have some game film on him to work with. I'll give him his due if he can lead the Eagles over the Skins next week. Lastly, you don't award MVPs three games into a season. Peter King gave him MVP to Trent after 6 games. How'd that work out for us?
  8. I await with bated breath the release of Trent Edwards this morning.... After watching Fitz sling balls around and how much life was injected into this offense, I can't help but think that Trent lost this team after week 1. He is not a leader, he never will be one. He is the anti-thesis of a football player. He looked at football as a way of making a few dollars. He never had a passion for the game and it showed from his demeanor, his lackadaisical responses in interviews and press conferences, and the way he carried himself on the field. That 4th and 11 run out of bounds was a great synopsis of his career. Meanwhile, Fitz, God bless him, will get himself killed to get a first down. It's too bad the guy doesn't have the accuracy because he's got the heart of a champion. He's the Rudy of QBs.
  9. You're absolutely right! I mean Vick just dissected the vaunted defenses of the Detroit Lions and the Jacksonville Jaguars - two elite franchises! Forget just awarding him the NFL MVP, we should just give Philadelphia the Super Bowl! I mean what's the point of going on with this season if it's already been established that Michael Vick is the greatest quarterback in the history of the game ever!!!
  10. McKelvin has been our best first round pick - HANDS DOWN. Shuts down Moss, strips a football, then steals it. AWESOME series for Leodis!
  11. I do NOT miss Trent Edwards. Good riddance.
  12. If things aren't bad enough around here, I could see people lose it if he does better than our current crop of RBs. Ha!
  13. No the Bills couldn't. The Bills couldn't compete in the Mountain West of the NCAA. As for the Niners, I'd much rather have their O-line, Willis, Vernon Davis, Frank Gore and Michael Crabtree than the set of 'winners' years of bad drafting and mismanagement has stuck us with.
  14. They've gone down fighting tonight. At least they're not a national punchline like the Bills are... I'd much rather lose a dogfight with our young QB tying the game up in the last two minutes and almost blocking the game winning field goal than watching a blowout with the QB sheepingly running out of bounds on 4th and 11. Niner fans can have optimism. What do we have?
  15. If he can put together 2 minute drives like that for the rest of the season, he's going to get paid. Honestly, he looked great tonight. When the Saints did get pressure on him, he stepped into the pocket and ran or made a great pass. That's all you can ask from your QB.
  16. Seattle traded for Charlie Whitehurst to be the successor for Hasselback.
  17. I believe one of those teams played in this area in the 90s.... My final say on the Trent situation. It's time to nut up or shut up Trent. Yes, the Line sucks. Yes, you don't have all-pro receivers. Yes, the tight ends you have probably couldn't cut it on the Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League. But it's time for you to step up and show something. Throw into tight coverage. Throw down field. Stop running through your progressions so fast that end up at a receiver/TE/RB that's one yard over the line of scrimmage when we need 10 yards. Throw over 300 yards in a game. Step up and be a g#@$@#$n leader. Show some fire when your linemen screw up, when your receiver doesn't break coverage, etc. You'll go a lot farther gaining the respect of the team if you do instead of having the players question your skills in thinly-veiled comments to the press. You're stuck in bad situation, some of us get that. But we also get that you're never going to have the perfect offensive unit with you and you're going to have to show much, much more than you have in the 3+ years you've been here. If you want to be embraced by Buffalo and show that you're a top quality QB in the NFL, you're going to have to make chicken salad out of chicken poop like all the greats have had to do at one time or another. If you need an example of this, look across the field at the QB you're playing this weekend. He had to follow an icon but he weathered the storm. Time for the mediocrity to end. Stop telling us and start showing us. Shut up your detractors because I'm tired of seeing 48 threads about you on Monday morning. Signed, The fans who care and really want this team to win
  18. I remember that game. I also remember thinking "The NCAA has got their heads up their arses if they think that's "excessive celebration"."
  19. You get what you pay for....
  20. Why are you still here? Masterpiece Theatre is on! You pompous a**.
  21. How do you find time in to take in the sheer barbarism that is football in between all the fine programming of PBS? Here's a tip, stay away from the stadium so you can be as self-righteous as you want at home.
  22. I've been to Green Bay to watch the Packers play. The amount of pride the city shows in that team and how much the players give back to them is why I can never, ever hate Green Bay, even if the Bills were to play them in a Super Bowl. Great, classy fans too. The most insulting thing I heard when I walked around in my Bills jersey was: "Boy, I bet you guys wished Jim Kelly was still playing huh?". The nerve!
  23. This argument is tired and lazy. It's like saying: "If you like America then you HAVE to like the President". Wrong. I can still be a fan of the Bills and think our coaching staffed erred tremendously in naming Captain Checkdown our starter.
  24. We now know that we can thank SwampD for the classic game show "Hole in the Wall".....
  25. Somehow I see RKFast taking the fun out of this... http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1941211 Just for laughs folks...
