  1. I hate grading individual moves. It is stupid, because there's no way a team looks at a single move as critical. I would only grade an entire offseason. Criteria: 1. What to the FA and trades look like to influence the roster as a whole? 2. What goals cap-wise is the team trying to achieve in the next few years? 3. Aside from $$, has the team executed what is a cohesive plan to get better and address gaps? 4. How do this year's offseason moves set the team up for the draft for the next few years? 5. Has the team gotten rid of players that may not fit, or may be in decline? Individual grades are just stupid, and it drives me crazy when fans do it, too. You just can't look at things like that. Looking at this, I think the Bills did pretty well. They addressed the QB position the best they could. There were ZERO options at QB this offseason, and the Bills did what they could. The addressed major skill positions on offense that were holding the Bills back. The only gap is OG, but there weren't many first-tier options to go after. I expect the Bills will add a few players after the draft. No. In terms of an overall plan, it makes more sense. Grading individual moves and not an entire offseason is stupid.
  2. Why? Zero experience, and no assurances of success. Would you give up a player or pick for that, knowing he will likely be cut because he's just not that good?
  3. LaCanfora clearly decided on an angle and wrote an article to it. He didn't think first and then write. His article makes no sense. He doesn't even mention Suh's contract, which by all accounts is stupid money and will prevent them from doing anything else for the next three years. He accuses the Bills of writing expensive contracts, but gives the Phins a pass. Stupid.
  4. Haters? There's nothing really to hate, other than the way he plays quarterback. He's a really bad quarterback. It's a fact, and has been proven over and over. If he was halfway decent, he'd be on a football team instead of people like Jeff Tuel. If someone can explain to me why tebow is a good quarterback, and why the distraction is worth it, I'll listen. I haven't heard a rational argument yet, and it seems that people love him because of his faith, which is admirable, but doesn't count for shite on the football field.
  5. How many times to people in the NFL need to confirm that he sucks? It has been proven over and over. He's not an NFL caliber QB, a great guy, but a real sucky QB.
  6. As long as it isn't against the Bills, right? Because those two games next year, SJ can suck it. Right?
  7. I'd offer a 5th for a guy who is going to be 34 this year. That's hella old for an NFL player, especially coming off an injury.
  8. I'm sure they do, but I bet they don't pay it too much mind. A fan's perception of the game is important to the team, but relatively speaking most of us don't know anything about the game (I'm at the top of the clueless list, btw.) So I highly doubt either of them spend too much time here. I would guess some players spend a bit more time, but not much. I think of it this way - how much does the average person know about your profession? In my case, the average person off the street knows nothing about the details of what I do, and talking to them or reading what a non-expert writes about it would be really, really annoying. Probably the case with Brandon and Whaley.
  9. Isn't he a little old?
  10. He's a way better athlete than someone like Chandler. He has better balance and leaping ability. He plays like a WR and can run the ball out of the backfield. He gives options, which we don't really have at that position.
  11. It is pretty clear to me they are setting up the roster so they can go with Best Player Available in the draft, and not worry about position. Drafting for need (other than QB) is the worst thing you can do. See: Aaron Maybin, etc.
  12. Really? You posted this as a possibility? You can't renig on a trade, dude. And also, cutler is a douche.
  13. Be careful what you wish for. Walker - the guy before him - is a dolphins fan, and was even worse. The guy outwardly hated on the Bills for no reason. Well, there was some reason, but he seemed to revel in pissing off the fans of the team that he covered.
  14. I would love to hear a better idea at QB that will make us feel better. Anyone have one? There's basically ZERO QBs of quality in FA. There's nobody to trade for, and there's only two in the draft, and even they are destined to be backups.
  15. I know what you mean, and agree somewhat, but Ii guess my point is a 40 time isn't a good measure up of useful speed. But I know what you are getting at.
  16. The combine is overrated. A 40 time is such a small part of judging players, it is hardly worth considering.
  17. Maybe if he was 30, but no. He's 35. That would be moronic. I'd give a 3rd round pick for him, that could turn into a 1st if we go to the SB.
  18. No way. They wouldn't even get the pick they paid for him back. Unless you are Jerry Sullivan, who thinks he should be cut.
  19. Really? No mention of LBs? No mention of WRs? No mention of Gilmore? The defense was nasty - one of the best in the NFL. There's no way that should have landed them at 24. Not sure why commenting on such idiocy, but I guess I did anyway!
  20. The guy has always been an ass. I'm not sure you can change a personality trait like that, no matter what punishment he's had. He been cut multiple times for his behavior. I hate having players like that on the Bills. That said, I bet he's on a short leash. Any BS and he's gone. And our guards were sofa king bad last year, I'd say we are definitely at the point of desperation.
  21. The day he quit and showed his true quitter colors. Bills fans obviously don't quit, and neither should players or coaches. He clearly didn't have what it takes to be a buffalo bill. Screw him. Talk to Don Bebee about what it means not to friggin' quit.
  22. Maybe she's got a good personality.
  23. I read the GM and the advisor (casselry?) liked him, but Woody Johnson didn't want to do it. If I was to speculate, it is because nobody trusts a quitter.
  24. The risk is using a 5th round pick on a moron, when we could use the pick on someone who might actually be useful. JFF is a douche, he doesn't prepare despite warnings, and he sucks. He's Ryan leaf with less talent.
  25. I don't actually know how the substitution rule is written, but if you think of it in terms of players switching positions without much notice, it is a substitution. When a WR lines up as a OL, then decides he's a WR again, with someone outside of him becoming a OL, it is a substitution.
