Perhaps others will follow this courageous act
Rich in Ohio replied to KD in CA's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No don't be silly mick, I am not suggesting that all democrats commit suicide.....just the real wacky ones like this nut job. Come on, even you have to admit, it may ultimately help your side if you can weed out this type of supporter. -
State of Emergency Declared in Iraq
Rich in Ohio replied to todd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Wow who pissed in your corn flakes this morning??? But since you poked your hate at me please allow me to point you in the general direction of what we like to call "the facts" 1) I did not say that GWB never made the “catastrophic success” statement. What I did say was he repeated what was earlier said by the general in charge of the invasion. You might want to consider some comprehension skills training. 2) Next where do you get off calling me a bigot? What the hell is that all about. Look just because your candidate got his ass whipped, don't take out out on me by calling me a Bigot. Perhaps you should reconsider your hate speech and say something like....................your sorry. -
State of Emergency Declared in Iraq
Rich in Ohio replied to todd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That quote was furst uttered by the general who was on the ground as we pushed our way towards bagdad. He said it in the context of the push to bagdad was easier then first thought and he referred to it as a "Catastrophic Success". Actually it kind of makes sense when it is put into the proper context. GWB basically was making the same analogy. Therefore the quote made sense to those who understood the context. Now to those who wanted to make a stupid campaign slogon out of it....well we all see where they ended up. Just food for thought. I guess if you want to stand with that crowd, then perhaps you can consider yourself an "underachieving success" -
State of Emergency Declared in Iraq
Rich in Ohio replied to todd's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hey todd...take a chill pill man, you are going to pop a gasket. Lets just look at the fatcs: 1) GWB ever said Mission Accomplished. I know that you wish he did, but he simply never said it. 2) Iraq is not going perfectly, but really a "cesspool" I don't think so. I for one think that issuing the 60 day marshall law is long overdue. Just had to wait for the election to get done. Now real progress will be made in a realitively short period of time. It will not be easy, but it is worth it, and the end result will be better for our country and our grandchildren. 3) GWB won, and kerry lost...get over it. -

If only he could have brought some friends and shared some koolaid. Then we could have really rejoiced. In any case, one less wacko is a good thing..the gene pool is no doubt a little cleaner today for his sacrifice. -
How should we chenge the election system?
Rich in Ohio replied to Adam's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This system was set up by a group of men who knew what the hell they were doing. Just because the libs are unable to win it this way, they want to change the rules to somehow favor them. Kind of the "I'm gonna take my ball and go home now if you don't change the rules" routine. Losers are losers, and they will always be losers. Nuff said. -
Sorry to say that this has been happening for a long time. Haters need a place of hate to be born...and what better place then prison.

Economy still rolling along
Rich in Ohio replied to Rich in Ohio's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The gap between the haves and havenots is perhaps the stupidest argument in the history of arguements. It is normally perpetuated by those who do not have it in themselves to compete and win. I have never heard anyone successful say " darn, this was way too easy...I feel so guilty" That is because they busted their asses, they worked hard to educte themselves, or get the training required to take the next step in life. Oh by the way, the reason we do so, is so we can make more money, and improve our position in this life. If we did not have this drive then we would not be at the top of the food chain......the cows would be herding and cooking us. -
Economy still rolling along

My guess is that a manager at Walmart makes 40k or so per year. More then likely a store manager makes 60K or more per year. Moral of this story.....get an education, and work hard to get into management...it definately pays better then running the cash register. Now I am not saying that running a cash register is not a worthy job. My youngest is doing it right now while she attends college. She makes $8.25 per hour and works about 20 hours per week. The difference is, she is not aspiring to be the best Walmart cashier in history...it is a stepping stone. She does not expect that it will ever pay all of the bills, but it is an experience. This is the way of the working world......never stop educating yourself, and never expect that the job you are working today will be there tommorrow. You better create your own personal value....otherwise you get what you deserve. -

6 years US Army Ronald Reagan was my Boss -
Just announced a little while ago the October jobs numbers: jobs created: 337,000 Expected growth was 177,000 Hmm, maybe this is why the President recieved such an overwhelming victory.....real people know that he is getting the job done. Oh well, I expect no big deal to be made out of this by the elite media. After all they feel that GWB just got all of the positive press that he will be recieving for the next 4 years.

Interesting article-behind scenes John Kerry
Rich in Ohio replied to Pete's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No kidding. I hate to pile on, but man a kerry administration would have been a freak show at best. -
Thanks, I did not really want to waste my time responding to that moron. It would help if he could actually comprehend what he was reading.

John Edwards wife has breast cancer
Rich in Ohio replied to Thailog80's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Sorry to hear that. best wishes. -
A great line from his press conference today that no doubt sends a message to the senate and house. GWB said "I earned capital in the campaign - political capital - and now I intend to spend it," That is what I like best about this guy. He does not mince words.....simple and to the point. I say lets get this SS system reformed, and then lets start on the IRS. Its time to get some real work done.

I know exactly what you mean. Man you can handle a taildragger? I have even more respect for you now. By the way, next year around May or so, I will be taking a leave of absence from my company and I will be helping my wife start a new business that we are opening. It will be sports and recreation related and my plan is that the following year 2006 I will be involved in that full time. Basically it is a 7 month per year business. The point is, once I have tat up and running the other 5 months per year I plan to use building a new ride, and then enjoying it endlessly. I will keep you posted. -
Red has never been one of my favorite colors, but in this case it sure does look good. Kind of tells the story doesn't it? The dems have no idea how to relate to the normal people in this country. lets hope they do not figure it out anytime soon.

Thank you for posting that.

That is hillarious......do you think that there would be a network in the Middle east that would actually show it?
-
So now that this terrorist has finally died, is there going to be a real chance for peace in the Middle East? I see the selection of the nextleader there to be crucial to how things progress. This could be a huge oppertunty to get things right in that region of the world if the palestinian people choose someone who will not have as his main policy the destruction of Isreal and the killing of every Jew who walks the earth. By the way it was Bill Salmon who reported this as he asked the President a question. The president was nice enough to say "God rest his soul" but I disagree. I personally hope that this bastard burns in Hell for as long as Hell exists.

Well if there was any question why the left lost so soundly yesterday, you need to look no further then the company they keep. The left truely looks to this fat bastrad as a guiding light. This is no doubt a classless move, and kudos to you for not setting a link to it. -
Has GWB severly damaged Liberalism??
Rich in Ohio replied to Rich in Ohio's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
man boom, I forgot about that. But look at it this way...voices like hers are getting more and more remote. She will look even more silly now that there are fewer of her kind. I have also been wondering....what will algore do now. His patented "he betrayed us", "He played on our fears" and "he stole the election" rhetoric will simply not be a big seller any more. These are interesting times we live in pal, we have a big oppertunity here. -
Has GWB severly damaged Liberalism??
Rich in Ohio replied to Rich in Ohio's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
well AD if you are right, I guess that we can expect another couple of republican seats added to the senate, and 10 or so more seats added to the house. I kind of like that trend. -
Why the lovefest for Bush?
Rich in Ohio replied to HelloNewman's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but somebody has to: first of all, i do not see America having a love affair with GWB, just a decent amount of respect. Did you notice that the biggest exit polling factor was for those who voted for GWB? It was based on moral issues..in other words...charactor counts. Now to a few of your points: gas prices: well just wait and see what happens to them now I think you will be surprised. national debt: I agree with you the debt reduction should be made a priority the next 4 years. This is the one area that I have had problems with GWB. Finding a job: This is a stupid argument. It of course depends on your skills. To say that nobody is hiring is iresponsible. Try harder is my advise, unemployment i at historic lows...there is plenty of work. 1000 dead soldiers: God Bless them we are at war, and they are our warriors. They deserve our gratetude, and the American people have already said their peice yesterday. If GWB was going to get fired, it would have been on this issue overwhelmingly. he did not, and their service to our country is to be admired. inflation: What, again inflation has been at historic lows during GWB's entire term. Of course soom items are up while others are down. Nothing stays the same. Food prices increasing are basically do to mother nature and the hurricanes. Sorry can't blame GWB for that. UBL: It is just a matter of time. The fact that he could not effect our election by virtue of an attack, speaks volumes. He will be caught or killed....just a matter of time. Economy: please don't get caught up in the main stream media rhetoric. The econmy has added nearly 2million jobs in the past 13 months and I just heard this morning that another 150k to 200k are expected to be added this month. Outsorcing was a bundoggle, and things are generally good. Again if it was not, GWB would have been fired...this is the normal way of things. Look just because the media says that a cat is a dog 4000 times, does not make a cat a dog. The American people got it this election, and I do not expect that they will be able to be fooled like they have in the past by the liberal media. there is simply too much information available, and people are figuring out where to get it.
