  1. Hmm, like I said what is the big deal here. NBC News has just reported that the huge cache of explosives that are in question actually vanished 18 months ago, before the US troops even got there. Wonder how much backpedeling kerry and crew will be doing tommorrow. No doubt another staffer will be sacrificed. Oh well, only a week left in their job anyway so being the sacrificial lamb won't be all that bad
  2. common knowledge pal, just read the news or if that is too much of a task just watch the mindless boob tube. Look, I am not in any way saying don't worry be happy. Juts as I said in my post, I am putting it into perspective. Unlike the freaked out NYT who act as if this is the mother load of all weapons. Come on, can't you just make a comment on the content....you are pushing into mickey territory by changing the focus all the time.
  3. First of all the story was reported in the NYT. They have been running the anti GWB, and iraq war stories as a series for some time now. This one about the missing 380 tons on the surface seems like a huge deal, but lets look a little closer. 1) This material may have been missing since just before the war, or as the move on bagdad was taking place. 2) To date over 450 thousand tons of explosives and weapons have been destroyed. This dwarfs the 380 tons that are being discussed in the NYT. Wouldn't it have been nice to see the NYT at least mention this tiny little fact. Kind of like fair and balanced if you know what I mean. 3) the fact tat the NYT waited until right now is telling in and of itself. Of course no main stream media source will even remotely call them on it. Just imagine if FOX News made some similar report on kerry, they would be buchered. So, having siad this, who thinks that the lemmings on the left will see this as anything other then a red meat main course with no nutritional value? Also, who thinks that any of the undecided will see this as a big deal?
  4. It has really caught my attention that the dems have been working like crazy on the black vote the past week or so, and they will continue to do so for the next week. kerry himself, edwards, tersea, and even algore have been hitting the churches and making their once every four year visit to them. Here is what I have noticed: First, the black vote according to polls have made a move in GWB direction. Not a huge move in relation to how the group votes as a whole, but significant when you consider that in 200 GWB got 9% of the black vote and in 2004 he is polling around 18% of the black vote. Second, why are these black voters coming over to the right? Have they seen something there that they like? Or is it more simple then that? Have they finally realized that the promises, and once per four year visits to their churches are nothing more then pandering at it’s worst? In any case, they have begun to shift, and the left appears to be pulling their hair out over it, and they have brought out all of the big guns to try to reassure the black voters that the left has all the answers to their problems. Yea, I can see this working….afterall it has for the past 30 years or better.
  5. That kinda says it all aboiut kerry doesn't it? All show, and NO GO. I have heard some small rumblings from Lugar around this part of the country but it does disturb me a little bit that he has not come out and been more vocal about being used like a rented whore by kerrys campaign.
  6. Nice try micky ole boy, but not this time. See I never said that you were avoiding the topic of this thread, i said that like always you will deflect the conversation away from the question that was asked of you. Which once again ( for like the 100th time) you did. See my point is that you almost NEVER answer a question that is asked of you that has a bad ending for your candidate. You simply turn the topic to something of a mindless rant. case in point, just look at the last post you made in reply to me. Total nonesense, and totally avoiding the direct question that was asked of you. pretty good job to, you actually almost made it seem as if you were not trying to do it......... Must be the lawyer in you.
  7. Umm, we watched it mick. thats what we do. Should I have tivoed it and sent you a copy??? He friggin said it, 100% sure that we will not be attacked with me as president" then we went on to say that he is sure about it because we won WWII. Like I said, a mindless clown.
  8. It pained me to watch that show, but I did. The funny thing is, katie was actually tring to hold his feet to the fire a little, actually on two questions, this one and another that he totally ignored and started speaking about something else. She even went out of her way to confirm that he really understood what he said. It was amazing, he straight up said "Yes" to answer her question. Then he went on to say that we won WWII, and we can do it again.....What? This clown has no problem saying ANYTHING to get himself elected.
  9. Lets wait for the final report pal. Looks like political timing to me. These guys hate GWB, and I have no doubt that they want nothing more then a patsie to work with like kerry instead of someone with a set of balls. I think you will see some adjustment to this story in the coming days. Not that the media will give it any time.
  10. Well, useing the LA Times as a reference for anything is an excercise in stupidity. At this point polls mean little, it is all about getting out the vote. hers the way I see it: A) If GWB and friends are succesful getting out the religious vote (which appears to be the case) and they continue to get the base energized then he will be in decent shape. Of course it will help tremendously if the Gov of PA will actually allow the military absentee votes to count. This could be the difference and currently he is continueing his illegal type activities. B) if kerry and the left can get out the college school kids vote (by scaring them), the crack whore/whino vote (if tey have enough crack and wine), and if they can explain the the stupider element of their base just how to get to the polls, then he should do pretty well. The funny thing is, the black vote seems to be rebelling against kerry and the left. Current polling shows GWB getting and estimated 18% of the black vote. This is double what he pulled in the last election. Hmm, I wonder if these are black people who improved their situation oiver the past four years and found that they are not really dependent on the left to sustain their life?
  11. Hey mickster, perhaps you should take a look at what is happening in PA. The democrate Gov is trying his best to keep the military absentee votes from being counted. The ballots were sent out late (mainly becaus ethe dems were also fighting like hell to keep nader off the ballot, but that is another issue), and now the military people who are fighting in Iraq, and working around the world are being told that their votes simply don't matter. This is much worse because it is actually being conducted by a sitting Gov. He personally is keeping these military voters from being allowed to cast their vote. Do you think that perhaos this is because the military absentee vote goes about 74% GWB and 26% kerry in the latest polling information? Hmm, nahh this could not have anything to do with it now could it. Oh well, I suspect that you will come back with some rhetoric and change the subject, but it would be nice to see you actually answer or even address the situation...at least once!
  12. Thats sounds like it must have been pretty kool. Wish I could have been there to see that. By the way it beats the hell out of the typical kerry love fest where the theme is typically......"Things have never been this bad, and if they get worse we will allll dieeee"
  13. Can you even give us two examples of how the right has shackled your freedoms? I doubt it......but it is your typical rhetoric sound bite.
  14. Hey don't forget, kerry has a big supporter in algore.... oh wait I forgot, algore put his total support behind dean in the primaries....hmmm
  15. hey johnny coli...you have to pay better attention. I already said earlier in thise thread that I have been out there to that website. The problem was, I ran out of asprin and I could get thru the gobbly gook. My point is, can any normal american make sense of his plan, or simply put them into words? That is what I have been asking here. Not for his website spin, but for what you hav heard, and what you ae voting for. If he is as articulate as the lefties claim, this should be an easy task. What I saw was an incoherrant collection of babble that could be spun 30 differet ways. Again, typical kerry...this allows him to be all things to all people, and responsible for nothing.
  16. So mick, what exactly is your point here? I cannot wait to see how you spin this.
  17. Hey bluefire, welcome to the bigs pal. Hey I did not put any words in kerrys mouth here. There are his own words and the reason I posted them here is because this clearly shows (in his own words) what many others have claimed about him. I happen to think that it is perhaps one of the most dangerous sides of kerry. This type of thinking IMO is noy healthy in a post 9-11 world, and you will not hear this information on the evening news. Basically because the talking heads agree with kerry on these points. By the way, the purpose of this forum is to have opposing viewpoints and to discuss them on some level of civility. Of course people on both sides are passionate.
  18. Umm mickey, Bill Kristal aside, what do you think about kerrys own quote? Really why can't you just deal with the facts at hand? You have tt attack the messanger all the time. The point is kerrys own quote, the quote was not made up by Bill, just reported. So here we go again...let me break this down as simply as possible. Please try to respond to kerrys own quote.
  19. I don't see anyone ripping you, just asking questions and making points. At the end of the day, you have to decide where your vote is best spent. Nobodys perfect, do the best you can. as long as you think that you have been objective, and you understand most of the major issues, then so be it. I just asked the question to see if you even knew the answers, because I cannot make heads or tails of your candidates positions. Actually, DC Toms post above summed up kerrys positions pretty well.
  20. Yea actually I did. Then I took a few asprin and tried to make sense of it. However, I ran out of asprin. GWB's plan (s) are pretty simple. he has done a good job of pointing them out publically. There is really not much question about what his plans are. The real question here is.....what is kerry plan that he talks about consantly. I mean ever other word is Plan, Plan, Plan........is this all it takes to make the dems happy...the fact that someone says he has a plan? Look, why is it that kerry has given only one or two interviews to news organizations in the past 7 weeks? It sbecause even the softballers have to ask the simple question...."hey johnny, what is that plan anyway"???? Of course he has found plenty of time to go on letterman, leno, that stewart loser, and give an interview to Rolling Stone (of course he can cuss in that one and then he will look kool) but no time for any of the major news medias. Oh well, they must know what they are doing, after all the same bunch of folks did such a great job for algore.
  21. I just heard on the news 10 minutes ago that an apology has already been issued. Teresa said that she had forgotten that Mrs. Bush was a librarian and that it is an important job. This is no joke, they really have already tried to clean t up. The problem is, she has a huge pattern of this kind of off the cuff comments. Those of us who know, understand that it comes from her elitist attitudes, but for everyone else they just think that she miss-spoke a little tiny bit)
  22. Yea, but you still did not answer the question. What is kerrys great plan, and who or how is he exciting anyone???
  23. OK, but can you answer the question?? What exactly is his plan? (plans, after all he supposedly has so many)?? And does he really have a strong following? The internals that I see from many of the recent polls show that he does not even have 50% approval from his own base. This is hardly my definaition of inspiring.
  24. Dying for the United Nations Why is John Kerry no Clinton-Lieberman Democrat? Easy. His obeisance to the U.N. by William Kristol 10/20/2004 11:45:00 AM WHO WOULD HAVE EXPECTED the Washington Post to inflict real damage on John Kerry's faltering presidential campaign? Yet they have. Here is the third paragraph from today's front-page article by Helen Dewar and Tom Ricks on Kerry's foreign policy record: Kerry's belief in working with allies runs so deep that he has maintained that the loss of American life can be better justified if it occurs in the course of a mission with international support. In 1994, discussing the possibility of U.S. troops being killed in Bosnia, he said, "If you mean dying in the course of the United Nations effort, yes, it is worth that. If you mean dying American troops unilaterally going in with some false presumption that we can affect the outcome, the answer is unequivocally no." When the Bush campaign talks about John Kerry's wanting a "permission slip" from the U.N., many commentators dismiss it as rhetorical excess. But Kerry really does believe that the United Nations is a fundamental, legitimizing body for the use of U.S. force. One hears this deference to the U.N. all the time in European capitals, but it is rare to hear it even among mainstream American liberals. In this respect, as in others, Kerry really is a throwback. He still shares the McGovernite distrust of U.S. force and suspicion of the judgments that are arrived at by the American body politic. John Kerry is not a Clinton-Lieberman Democrat. His near obsession with gaining the approval of the U.N., and for that matter of France and Germany, for the conduct of U.S. foreign policy would make him the riskiest commander in chief of any presidential candidate since George McGovern--and surely makes Kerry unsuitable to govern in a post-9/11 world.
  25. Just wondering with only 13 days left, when is kerry going to bring out the fact that we are in a “terrible malaise” reminiscent of the great jimmy peanutman carter. He has already all but done this, and I see it as the only thing missing from his otherwise totally uninspiring campaign. This is truly a campaign of Optimism as presented by GWB versus despair and a terrible malaise as reported by jf kerry and his surrogate johnny Edwards. The left does nothing more then talk about how bad things are, how much doom and gloom we live in, and how poorly everyone else has done just about everything else. There is ZERO forward looking talk from these guys at all. They talk constantly about a plan………….what plan? They have put nothing forward as a plan other then they will do just about everything differently then GWB. This is not a plan. The other day I even heard one of his campaign masters say when he was pinned down to answer what exactly the plan was, that kerrys plan is actually to have a plan. WHAT the hell does that mean. Is their base really that willing to believe that kind of nonsense? Well, if you want bitchers, whiners, and complainers…..I say the dems have a guy for you to call yours. If you want Optimism, Results, and clear vision the choice is easy…....GWB
