  1. One of the big questions that I have coming out of this election is what impact this overwhelming win will have on the liberal left. Lets consider these points: 1) The hollywood elites and entertainemt industry went ALL out to effect the election, and apparantly people ignored them. messages such as "Vote or Die" did not have the impact they expected. 2) The 527's such as move on .org etc. backed by the likes of george soros took it n the chin big time. They spent millions, and essentially got nothing for it. 3) The fear tactics of topics such as the draft, and social security did not resinate with the American people. These were long standing winners for the liberal left. 4) Raiseing taxes on the "rich" has seemed to lose its luster. Has the class warfare attempts finally come to an end? These are just a few of the tactics that did not seem to have the effect that the liberal left had hoped. These are staples of their party...what message did the resounding and crushing victory send them? My guess is they will have to seriously re-examine their approach for the next election. There is no doubt that they cannot continue to lose senate and house seats at this rate. having said that, can the liberal wing of the democratic party continue to set the agenda for them? hasn't the pattern that started over 10 yeras ago taught them anything, or will they still be singing the same tune 10 years from now when they have only one or two advoctaes in either house? Interested to hear everyones views on this.
  2. But what if you wanted to vote but did not because you were intimidated, or disinfranchised?? I mean there was just so much of this going on, I am sure that there must be plenty of such people.
  3. Maybe they are the ones doing all of the complaining.
  4. I had the electoral count right as well. However I had GWB getting there another way. The thing that surprised (pleased) me most was the 51% overall vote. I had GWB pegged at 50.3%, but I even thought that this would be the absolute best case.
  5. hey Boomerjamhead..Is this a great day to be an AMERICAN or what????????? Soldier On !!
  6. Dude, thats no way to get laid.
  7. he can't handle the truth. Or he can't believe that the MTV youth did not take "vote or die" seriously. Or he can't beleive that michael moores movie didn't really work. Or he can't beleive that the Senate really grew by 4 MORE REPUBLICAN Senators. Or he can't beleive that the Republicans really gained a bumber of additional seats in the House. Or he can't beleive that GWB has recieved more votes then any person who has ever run for President in the history of the USA. Or maybe he hasn't had his stomach pumped yet.
  8. Looks like we get to see the concession speech at 1:00pm. then we can expect to see the acceptance speech from the WINNER.... GWB !!!!
  9. I would have never guessed this, but it looks to be true. I think that this should qute some in the crowd who say that he is not worthy. The American people have spoken...and spoken loudly. By the way, when you look at all that GWB had to overcome with regards to the media, 527 groups, the so called world leaders, UBL, and anyone else who hates GWB just because..then this is really something else. Add to that the fact that the republicans increased their senate seats to 55, and added a number of house seats, I think this will go down as one of the biggest overall victories in political history. Kudos to Karl Rove and the gang for flat out getting it done.
  10. Same place as always..........anywhere but the polling stations. rock the vote and vote or die might have made the libs feel good, but what it really did was motivate the real voters of America to get out and squash any attempt that they were making to effect the election. see ya in 10 years or so when the affects of the crack, and extasy wear off.
  11. Looking for a nice quite monistary to spend the next 4 years you know the same one that soros is looking for.
  12. Yes indeed, this is the race that kept me up all night. I was all giddy by the time they announced dashles defeat. This combined with the fact that GWB got 51% of the vote, and the senate will now have 55 senators, should bode well for the all important Supreme Court appointments. God Bless America
  13. Looks like those exit polls were not worth a hoot. When will the libs learn that they have to ask real people how they voted...not just the crack whores, pimps, whinos, and other typical dem voters.
  14. You are basically correct. I would not say that Hamilton County is VERY republican, but the presdient can expect no less then a 50/50 split. Therefore, he will not lose ground there and in all probability he will gain a decent amount. Up near cleveland there may be 30k to 40k of votes to mine. This number will easily be offset by the remaining rural vote which went for GWB by at least a 60/40 margin. Bottom line, GWB should end up winning this state by 120k to 150k...well outside any margin where a recount would be required. See ya kerry...........dont let the door hit ya in the ass.
  15. No used underware needed here. I voted earlier today around 7:30am The turn out looked a little heavier then normal at my polling station, but we have a very hot local issue on the ballot. The weather in this part of the country is crap, so we will have to see how that effects the turnout.
  16. Looks like wallstreet has a little insight. There is no question that they want GWB back for another 4 years, and they are buying as if they know something. My bet is that they have it right.........god news for GWB.
  17. yea, from what I have heard the short yellow buses have been pulling up t the polls in droves......... and are being greated by libs with open arms.
  18. hey be careful, by the time you get off of work, blather will have already called the state for kerry.
  19. Yea, but it now looks like there may already be some hanky panky in Philly. Apparantly poll watchers found nearly 2000 votes already planted on machines scattered throught downtown. Looks like it is going to be a long day for PA poll watchers......if this is starting already I can just imagine what the rest of the day will bring.
  20. because it means that most of the crack heads, whinos, and pimps that the dems registered will not get to vote 10 to 15 times as expected. And now that the decision to have poll monitors on han has been overturned (meaning that the republicans will be able to have monitors at the polls looking for mary poppins, dick tracy, and kurt cobain ) which is great news. If we can keep the riff raft to at least 50% of what the dems are aiming for, we should be victorious. Thank you God for the rain...let it POUR!!!
  21. Well once again kelly you totaly miss the point. personally I could care less if GWB did or did not do coke. As long as he has not done it since he has been the president, I really don't see what the big deal is anyway. Just like clinton smokin pot, more power to him. party on.....just as long as he was not doing it while in office. Now for the point that you missed: It is that this assclown of a kid displayed his families ignorance by making such a stupid remark in public at a political rally. It is simply ignorant to say that the President is "a Coke Head". This is just low class and classless. There do you get it now???????
  22. he there peeper boy, go look at the thread. Sorry I forgot to attach it earlier. Kinda heard it all day on the news so I thought that if you were awake at all today and your eyes were open, then you should have heard about it. In any case the link is there now, and just for your information...those two little dashes in front of and behind what he said are quotations. That indicates that HE said the words. I just thought that you might want to know.
  23. SORRY..... Here is the link NY Post
  24. I spent the weekend giving this election a great deal of thought. I came up with what I thought will be the winner and the electoral college count. I have listed this below, and I welcome everyone to list their own predictions before the election on Tuesday, and then we can see exactly who got it right. All I ask, is keep the editorial nonsense out of this thread. I would like to see just what people think the results will be, I am not interested in all of the clutter. It will only ruin this thread. We can add that after the election. Please respect that ! Ok, so here is my prediction, please give your results to the same items so we can compare: 1) Winner : GWB 2) Percentage of the popular vote: GWB 50.3% Kerry 48.1% Other 0.6% 3) Electoral College Count: GWB 280 Kerry 258 4) Key Battleground State Winners: Ohio : Kerry PA : Kerry WI : GWB Mich : Kerry Fla : GWB Iowa : GWB Please don’t ask about other battleground states, these are the ones that I thought were the six most contested. I know that there were more but please just stick to these.
