1. Thats Ok do we always have to be number 1??????? Its about damn time that these other countries pitched in. I for one am gald to see that we are number 4. But have little doubt that as a people, Americans will dwarf any other countries contributions by citizens. Thats because as a people, we understand what it means to help thy neighbor. We will continue to send life saving supplies as the muslems plot to humicide bmb the survivors who take aid from the infidels. Just wait and see, it is only a matter of time.
2. Did anyone really expect those people to actually give any form of support? Come on, they are the most hateful, hell bent, radical group of people on the face of the earth. I expect nothing from them, and they never fail to disappoint me. The only time you will see a happy muslem person is when all the jews, jew lovers ( or supporters same thing to them), and none muslem people are dead. This is not a complcated matter. They hate every none muslem on earth, and will never stop blowing themslves and everything around them up until their goal is reached. You cannot expect a people who have no love in their heart for their fellow man to actually shed a tear over such a tragedy. Hell some wacko muslem was on the arabic love channel last week saying how this is the fault of those people because they were infidels and they deserved what the got. Now this is what I expect from that wacked out bunch..like I said...they never let me down.
3. Well....welcome back I guess. Take some prozac and feel free to come back more often.
4. Where is the big story here? This is a typical smart common sense move by a very well run GWB White House. When you surround yourself with excellent people who continually challenge eachother and does not let petty things get in the way of doing things you can expect to get great results. I say keep up the good work GWB, and maybe you can even help to salvage a fallen ex- presidents tainted record. ( of course I am speaking about clinton, 41 does not have any thing to clean up really)
5. I totally agree with you about not having to like the china situation. In my industry ( the manufacturing sector ) I think they have to find other ways to compete and in my opinion they are. I see my customers making ever more complex parts and getting away from the cookie cutter stuff that can easily be produced in those backwards countries. Also in the past year or so I have seen many of my customers switch back to US suppliers because they have experienced delivery nightmares. The gap is actually closing in many respects but the manufactures here have to be more proactive. They cannot just sit around wishing and hoping that the government will help them or protect them.
6. Actually you never have enough power. For someone like me who spends a considerable amount of time on the road, the power when needed is a blessing. Regarding the brakes the 300C version that I have has 18" resealable tires (The same tires that come standard on the E Class Mercedes) and the brakes are actually huge. They are vented in both the front and rear and I can tell you that the stopping distance surprised me considering this is a 4,050 lb autombile. By the way the gas mileage is pretty good. In town aroun 18 to 20, and on the road I got nearly 28 mpg on a recent trip to knoxville. The MDS (Multi-Displacement System) automatically deactivates four of the cyliders when you are cruising. It is nearly impossible to tell when it is activated.
7. Not raining on my parade at all. Actually that will be a 440 HP engine, and I am not sure about the chasiss mods. I will have to check with my boys inside chrysler. In any case the 300C is sweet, and provides plenty enough power for me at the moment.
8. For what its worth, I know that we find almost nothing to agree on but it was an CTS that I traded in on the 300C. The CTS was a fine car, but just not the same feeling when I step on that Hemi. The addition of the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) with the rear wheel drive helps tremendously in the snow. I was surprised. Actually I wiated until there was some snow on the ground to test drive it again, and that is when I made my decision. Either way you will be happy, I would just suggest giving the 300C a real good test drive before you decide. Good luck.
9. Yea I have been looking high and low for the 69 "six pack" model like I had. I have been trying to find one to restore. If anyone has a lead on one..please drop me a line. By the way, mine was Orange with the black fiberglass hood with pins instead of hinges, and I think I paid $3,800.00 brand spanking new.
10. umm, nobody.if you knew anything at all about the china situation...there is not a damn thing to be done about that. Do you want a trade war? Are you ready for double digit inflation? I think not. Look peple enjoy the cheap crap that they can buy from wal-mart that is made in china. You cannot change this fact. There is NOTHING that can be done about what china is doing with their currancy. Wake up and smell the coffee.
11. well, other then the 9-1 attack having a rather negitive effect on the economy the fact of the matter is that the economy was pretty decent during the past 4 years. Especialy the past 18 months. Over 2 million jobs created and no end in sight. Who is blaming that on clinton. Stop being so sensitive.
12. Well in my opinion, a weak dollar is a very good thing for the US economy. It allows our manufactures to compete overseas and encourages tourism. piss on the strong dollar policy, I say watching japan, and france making less profit over here is a good thing. As for china, well there is no reailty to their currancy valuation anyway, so I will not even bother commenting.
13. I just wanted to chime in about the new Chrysler 300C. I purchased one over the holidays and I have to tell you, this is far and away the best thing to come out of Chrysler in a long long time. They really got this one right. The Hemi pumps out 340Hp and the rear wheel drive feel of this automobile and the ride that it offers far exceeded my expectations. For someones who's first car as a 16 year old was a Dodge Super-Bee, I am an old Mopar guy. I have been waiting for something like this for a long...long time. I highly recoomend that if anyone is in the market for full sized luxary sedan..you owe it to yourself to at least give this car a look. To top it off I was able to purchase the car at 2% below dealers cost because my company is a supplier to DaimlerChrysler. That knocked a cool 6k off the sticker price. Left me a few dollars for some beer to drown my Bils sorrows in. Just thought I would throw this out there.
14. The fact is, the prices were artificialy high dureing the lecetion. I fully expected them to come back down to reasonable levels by the first of the year.
15. More positive Economic news Is this really happening? But I thought the economy was in the tank.....I thought the sky was falling......didn't kerry and friends tell us that we should take cover and wait for the bomb to go off?? Now we see that employees are looking to improve their employment situation and maybe even move up in the world. Ohhh those evil people...how dare they try to do something positive on thier own. Don't they know that they should just sit around and wait until the Dems regain power...and then they will be given such things? Hmm, maybe they are realizing that at the end of the day...it is only thru thier hard work and efforts that they can make themselves more valuable and achieve more. Man this has got to be simply killing the Dems...they have to find a way to make things bad in a hurry. They would not want to see people getting ahead and maybe even (Gasp) working hard to move up the ladder themselves! Oh well, like I have always said...the market and the economy always takes care of itself. When left to do it's thing..the results are normally very positive.
16. USA Today Money section Link Hmmm, I thought that the Dems said that if GWB was reelected the economy was going to crash, and there would be rioting in the streets as starving families fought for scraps of bread and pieces of cheese? Well, I guess they were wrong again. Looks like the good old free market economic forces are doing exactly what they are suposed to do when they are given the inncentive to. Curious I think that the left has no comments on this at all. Heck I remember how just a few months ago, they were telling us how just because 200K jobs were created that month it is still no big deal. Well since that time another almost 400K of jobs have been created. It would be nice to see some positive comments from the left wouldn't it? Do they really even like when good things happen to our economy??
17. He doesn't know that...he is just being happily pestimistic. Losman has no history of being fragile, and what did happen to him this spring was a freak thing. he will prove to be just what we need here. Someone who is a tough leader, and someone who can move around...and throw at the same time. Bledsoe sucks ass, and he will make a great clip board holder.
18. Everything starts with replacing Bledsoe. He will make a fine back-up for the young Losman. I say we did not draft this guy in the first round for nothing. With year under his belt I think he is ready to get it done. If nothing else he will at least be a moving target instead of a statue just waiting to be rocked.
19. You do understand, of course, that they didn't reject all Israeli aid, don't you? They objected to the military presence in one Israeli team - sixty soldiers in a team of 150 people. Other Israeli aid they've accepted gratefully. Now tell me again how it's just anti-semitism... 183573 First of all, did I ever once mention anti-semitism???? I think not. I did indeed read the article...umm after all I did link to it. My point is that where do these dumb asses get off refusing any kind of help from Israel. It is stupid, and ignorant. The israeli military could be of great use there. They have plenty of practice picking up body parts that are left behind by the peace loving arab freaks who continue to blow innocent people up in the name of their religion. But I guess that sri lanka does not need this type of experienced body part picker uppers huh?
20. 183094 Well tom why else would a country in such dire need refuse to allow another country who is only trying to help in a time of need? Please..... the answer is obvious. The polititians will now have to sort out the details but it is c;lear to me.
21. What ever happened to the old saying.."beggers can't be choosers"? Well I guess in this case beggers can in fact be choosers. These assmonkeys in sri lanka (a crap hole if ever there was one has refused to let rescue workers from Israel come to there contry and help. I guess they don't mind seeing those bodies hanging from trees and buried under debris and rotting. This must be more acceptable them allowing 150 rescusers from Israel in to help potentially save people or at least help clean up the mess. I say screw these fools...let them clean up the rotting carcases by themselves. That backwords 4th world country deserves what they will get from this. They have no business refusing help of any kind. maybe we should say that we will not send our money there to help them if they feel that free help from Israel is no damn good for them. BBC Link
22. First of all, the fact that compromise can be reached does not make a state comfortable or not comfortable...it simply makes it able to compromise. In fact that applies to each of the 50 states. I think that is what we refer to as standard government practice. I know of no totalitarian regimes running any of the 50 states. regarding your remark about the red states growing and not being able to stay that way. I would suggest that you take a little look at recent history pal. The south has in fact grown their red state status and increased the numbers of right thinking Americans rather significantly. As I said, this is a good trend..and I see it continuing. What I think you are not understanding is that many of the people who are fleeing the liberal run states is that they just want the ability to work, make a decent living and not spend shameful amount of their hard earned cash on supporting the liberal agendas of those states. This is really very simple when you break it down. It is the same reasons that the business's have fled those states...just look around. The vast majority of new manufacturing jobs are getting farther and farther away from the liberal freak shows that we know as our major cities. Why do you think that cleveland has lost the more jobs then every other part of Ohio combined????? it is because that city was taken over by liberals who tried to make nice and buy votes by giveing everything away to people who did nothing to deserve it. Hence 22% unemployement. The rest of Ohio is thriving pretty well. Why do you think kerry got his ass smacked here so hard...they actually thought that the job lose problem in Ohio was the same as in thier liberal hotbed of Cleveland. It was not, and he was exposed for the idiot that he is. Simple as that.
23. I think that the fact that this wave hit so early in the morning on a sunday, the death toll will be much higher then if it were in the middle of the day and people would have had some warning. I just wonder how long it will be until algore holds a press conference and calls for GWB's impeachment for not supporting the kyoto treaty and therefore being the direct cause of all natural castastorphies in the past 4 years, and for the next 4 years.
24. Of course they will do anything to win back power. They rwally have no clue. Thank God the red states will continue to grow in population and the wacky blue states population will shrink. This prospect is chilling the libs to the bone. Look for increased wackiness over the next few years. hell all you have to do is look at queeen hillary, she is running to the middle and slightly right so fast that she had to put sneakers on.
25. Umm, exactly what part of the conservative base did clinton get????? The reason Bush 41 lost was a little elf by the name of ross perot. Then he defeated the cardboard figure that we all know and love by the name of Bob Dole. In either case I think that you could perhaps counr the number of conservatives who voted for that assclown nationwide on one hand. Please reconsider your silly post.
