Richard Harrison - Pawn Stars - dies at 77
apuszczalowski replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
No, none of them were. We were there probably around 10-11 am on a Tuesday in November in 2012. They had just opened the shop for the day a little before we got there I think. It was weird being I there, looks bigger on TV. I heard they were doing tours in Vegas where they would take you to a few of the History network TV show locations and you would usually get to meet some of the stars. My wife knew someone that did it and said Rick from the American Restoration show was one of the nicest guys you would meet. The Pawn stars guys were alright. I wish I would have been in Vegas now, would love to see Counts Customs and Danny's collection. -

Everyone's 'getting old', cant get any younger....... It does feel weird to look at the younger kids these days and realize what year they were born in.... -

Hackenberg Headed to the AAF

Gruden is already crying about it Blames the CBA for limiting practice time, says you cant develop QBs properly anymore cause of limited practice times and offseason time. Said they couldn't properly evaluate and work with him to develop him because they cant get him the needed reps. Still seems to think that he is some hidden gem that just needs to be shined and polished, and with enough time and effort, any turd can be polished...... -
I always wonder when the big chain/box stores sell quality brands if your getting the real deal or the cheap version of that brand. I believe it was Walmart that would pay the name brands for the badges/stickers to put on cheaper products so they could sell the name brand. I know around here one of the Big name BBQ companies sell a cheaper Chinese made version in the chain/box stores but in the specialty stores sell their locally made higher quality versions.

Hot for Guidance Counselor
apuszczalowski replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
17 years old and 9th grade? He would sleep at her house along with his sister and her friend? I dont know about anyone else, but I dont remember any teacher when i was in school (or counsellors) who had student sleepovers, unless it was their own kid who went to the school. As a parent I would have questions for the teacher or counselor if students were sleeping over at their place.... -
Ah yes, the Yankees (and Red Sox), the New England Patroits of Major League Baseball...... That is genius Get in the raking now so come fall you wont have to spend your weekends doing it, might even get in snow shoveling too if I have the extra time now!

Martavis Bryant....... Suspension Looming?

Seems to be the kind of player the Raiders liked in the past...... -
I'm sure to a machinist, 31/64ths could be considered 'standard' but that's doesn't make the size 'standard' Typically a machinist also wouldn't be running out to get a bit from a big box/chain/mom & pop hardware store when they need a bit.
-
What country was it from? Do they even exist anymore? Lol, gotta love when a manufacturer specifies sizes that are not standard Did the manufacturer also advertise being the leading manufacturer of odd size drill bits?
-
Could the bolt have been metric? As for the debate, I prefer going to the smaller local hardware stores for things but usually find myself at the box stores for stuff because of price. Problem with the box stores is that in some cases you have to be careful what you buy there if the work you are doing is part of a permit. Up here things have to be CSA approved for use or have approved testing for use in Ontario under our codes. But the home depots and others around here you can find stuff (usually from China, sometimes europe) that they sell but arent approved for use here under the building code. I get people saying all the time "but I bought it at home depot, why would they sell it?" I usually say that if they didnt have a permit or it wasn't part of a permit, it doesn't matter what is used cause no one is checking, but if it's for work done that requires a permit, it must be done with approved products. I have a small (used to be) family run hardware store at the end of my block that I like to go to when they are open. One day I was in there and found a replacement door latch for the older style doors I had in my house (the ones that used skeleton keys). I assumed you couldn't get them anymore and was prepared to swap it from another door I removed from a different location. Even the woman who worked there didnt know they sold them. You can find some cool things at the non chain stores. But somethings are better at the bigger places. This store sold paint, but it wasn't a known brand, used it in a few rooms and it wasn't good. Went to home depot and bought behr which covered great and know I almost always use it

Number and Name Plate Change
apuszczalowski replied to Elite Poster's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Might be tough to do. I had Jersey I wanted to change name and number and the custom place I usually had add names and numbers on blank jerseys for me said it cant always be done to jerseys today. Apparently on most jerseys the numbers are stitched and glued/ironed on into place, so to take them off you risk ripping the Jersey or having the outline of the number visible on the Jersey. The name is no problem cause they can usually just remove the name bar and make a new one to go on it. The guy said I was better off finding a different player with that number and changing the name or putting my own on it. Not very many names worth having an orange #8 Broncos Jersey of...... The NFL/Reebok/Nike/whomever manufacturers the jerseys today could make a killing if they offered a service to replace names and numbers. Either that or start selling jerseys with velcro tabs for the names and numbers to attach and then just sell names and numbers. -
Nah, none of us are out to destroy you, we are all sitting back with our popcorn watching you do it to yourself.......

He was forced to have his original ones removed and replaced with these as a condition of him being allowed to be in office. He had to have something to distract people from falling for him by looking into his hypnotic dreamy eyes... (Same reason for Trumps hair, gotta have something to distract people from what's really going on....) Or he is just a pretty boy who enjoys manscaping a little too much.....

If you are just going to base acceptance on the players 'on field stats/play", why do they even have to vote? Why not just take a look over the list of players eligible every year and just say that a certain number of players can make it and pick that amount based on the stats? As for the votes being anonymous, who cares? Why do we need to know every single little detail about everything that doesn't pertain to us? Is it going to matter that we find out a certain writer chose one player over another? Now the fans need to know their reasoning/basis for the choice too? What is that going to accomplish outside of fans expressing their anger towards that voter through social media because they didnt like the reasoning or choice made by them?
-
So what your saying is that there is no difference between getting in first ballot or 10th ballot except that he will have a butt hurt ego because he is insulted he didnt get in the first time he was able to. Does his plaque or bust even say how many tries he needed to get I to the HOF? Does he get to be put on the front row or in a special spot where he is more prominent then the ones who got in on their 4th or 5th time?
-
Does he get a special place in the HOF? Does he get a $$$ bonus for it? Does he get a golder colored jacket then the rest? A crown? He gets nothing but a bigger ego because he can strut around and instead of referring to himself as a HOFer he can call himself a "first ballot HOFer". No one outside of TO and maybe a few football nerds are going to think any differently of his career and enshrinement that he got in on his third try. For a player who is being considered here by many as being g one of the "greatest of all time" he sure did bounce around the league alot.....
-
Personally I think the HOF should now turn around and rescind their induction for him. Sorry TO, we only want to indict people who appreciate getting inducted and want to be here The guy is a self centered narcissist, instead of being grateful and happy to get in, he throws a tempertantrum because it took 2 extra years to make it in? Why does that even matter? Does he get a shinier plaque in a separate wing for making it in on the first ballot? In 50 years are people going to question who he is when they see his bust there because it took 2 extra years? Maybe instead of worrying that you didnt make it in on the first try, just enjoy that you are in and make the most out of being there. But his ego takes it as a major insult/slap in the face because they didnt out him in on the first time. Even if they did he probably would have viewed it as an insult if others were inducted at the same time as him and it wasn't just an induction ceremony for him

It's disgusting how beauty pageants judge the contestants on looks. How degrading the woman who volunteer to enter these pageants must feel being judge by their looks -

XFL Names Oliver Luck Commissioner and CEO
apuszczalowski replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The biggest problem with the XFL is that McMahon is known as being the owner and in charge. He is too well known as the owner of pro wrestling and people wont view the XFL as a serious league. It's going to be viewed as being staged or have pre determined elements just like pro wrestling even if McMahon doesn't run it that way and really does plan on it all being legit. The other problem is if they continue to make it over the top like the previous one and try to do things just to appease fans with gimmicky rules.
