I'm with you, brother. In the other thread about hating Belichick I blamed him for the Holocaust. -

Relating the deflating to GITMO detaining would be overstating. -

One notable exception: The year Al Davis was being sued by the NFL for planning to move the Raiders to LA against league relocation rules they beat Philadelphia in Super Bowl XV. -
I saw something reliable on the interwebs that reveals Belichick's connection to the Holocaust.

New England Patriots caught deflating game balls
negativo replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This reminds me of George Brett pine tar, Shula bringing out the snow blower, or the extra curve on a hockey stick violation. Players and coaches are always are looking for an edge, and equipment is commonly used to try and gain one. Is it wrong? Is it part of the game to try and get away with bending the rules? Everyone has an opinion, but one thing is certain: It's always been done, and always will be done. Seems to me the line of when it becomes egregious happens when player safety/health is involved, which is why when New Orleans instituted a systemic strategy to injure opponents and inflict permanent brain damage was a hell of a lot more serious than deflating a lb of pressure to improve grip on the football. -

Patriots obviously tampered with the footballs. They did, in fact, cheat and get busted. That said, if they were the Raiders, who in their heyday openly bragged about cheating as part of their core philosophy, everyone would wink, nod and praise them for being anti-establishment renegades who defy the powerful elites of NFL authority. It would only add to their lore and charm. However, because the Patriots have a more corporate image the standard is different in the court of public opinion. They are somehow considered the establishment team abusing power. They are perceived as The Suits that the charming rebels of Oakland fought against representing regular people everywhere. In reality, the Patriots and the old Raiders were cut from the same cloth, pushed the rules, and had the talent to back it up with championships. As we see from the plight of the Raiders the past decade, if you stink it doesn't matter how much stickum you apply or air you deflate from the balls. You stink you get beat, you have talent you win. The extra edge you can get from playing it sneaky or dirty may be against the rules, but whether it's considered right or wrong is a matter of subjective perception. -
Gus Bradley would be wise to watch his back. Marrone is a proven snake in the grass.

Bears to hire John Fox; Broncos interview Kubiak

John Fox...I didn't think it was possible to retread that old, worn out tire again. Way to go, Bears. -
Rex on EJ: "I'd like to see him use his legs more."
negativo replied to johnwalter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To me, this means he wants to find out if EJ has heart. If he's willing to play balls out and take a hit to make a big play. If he's willing to play through injury if he gets dinged, or if he will sit out after every boo-boo. Fair questions considering EJ's injury history and lack of tuck-and-run for critical 1st downs. EJ better be prepared to show he's tough enough to take a licking and keep on ticking, or he'll be out of here. -
This is too funny.... Marrone trys for Jax OC
negativo replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL is a small fraternity of tycoons. The owners just unanimously voted in the Pegulas with warmth and praise, and then Marrone thinks he can sh!t all over their newest owners and be welcomed in with open arms to another owner's team? Marrone is a nobody. A mediocre coach who just took $4 million of good faith money and ran with a nasty attitude? He's as good as blackballed, and will be lucky to catch on as a coordinator. -
Bring Back the Red Helmets!
negativo replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No uniform in all of sports can beat the current Bills - with the notable exception of the vomit bath blue-on-blue combo. White helmets with either charging or standing Buffalo is absolute perfection. The colors are perfection. Stick to blue over white at home, and rotate white over white or blue on the road. Maybe white-on-white for AFC roadies and white-on-blue for NFC roadies. -
NEW HEAD COACH: Rex Ryan! It's Official!
negativo replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whether you love, hate or are undecided about Rex Ryan, you've got to admit things are gonna be a lot more fun and interesting with him as head coach. -
Do you approve hiring Rex Ryan as HC
negativo replied to /dev/null's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely approve. I made the case for Ryan 4 days ago. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/174896-head-coach-candidate-rex-ryan/?p=3412394 -
Gotta love Dick LeBeau. Crusty and feisty to the very end. At 77 his days as a DC are probably over, but he could be a very highly coveted consultant if he wants to stay in the game.

Whaley is all in on EJ and Sammy. He admitted as much when he maneuvered to make these hail mary picks. While the price for Sammy was clearly an overpay, at least he's flashed some #1 receiver potential. EJ is like the Ted Black turd burger choice on the Sabres 3rd uniform. No matter how much lipstick and lip-service he puts on that pig it's still a pig. Of course, miracles sometimes happen and busts can turn it around. It's not impossible. But, come on...what top coach in their right mind would be willing to hitch his career star to EJ's wagon?
-
I'd take him. He's had some playoff success and knows how to beat the Pats. Tough guy who players seem to love and respect. He suffered from a terrible QB situation in NY, but get him a good one and the sky is the limit. Strong personality is fine by me. Top D, solid O-line and power running game would be a given. Gotta have those things to win in Buffalo in December.

Carucci's update on coaching search
negativo replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If anything could make the already pathetic situation even more pathetic, hanging an EJ demand over the top of it should do it. UPDATE: @salmaiorana Source confirms #Bills want to meet with Rex Ryan. No date has been set yet. http://on.rocne.ws/1Bx23yy via @DandC -
