Had Clinton won, how things would've played out would probably have depended on how magnanimous her highness felt. Considering Trump had the audacity to strike at her hard, she probably would've pushed for using those "Russian ties" to have him jailed. Doubt she'd have been very magnanimous at all.

Interesting. Would lead some more support to DR's supposition that the Mueller investigation isn't what the Never Trumpers think/hope it's about. IIRC, the supposition is that Stonehad a role in the introduction of Manafort into the Trump campaign. Manafort having had a lead role in the Podesta Group prior to joining Team Trump.

Buffalo News in financial trouble
Taro T replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would be interesting to see. Can't speak for others, but won't even type his name in the very few threads that he's been discussed. Haven't read any articles of his in at least 10 years. Though somewhere, still have a clipping of his classic '90 prediction that the Bills would stink because they would once again be the Bickering Bills. -
Without getting Trump on the stand, that's a reasonable position. If he takes the stand, the over under to reach a perjury charge likely drops to 15 minutes.

Strange had said, leading up to it, that there was no way he'd sacrifice the Time Stone for either Spidey or Stark because the most important thing of all was protecting the stone. Of course that was before his 406,000,065 or so versions the of future he saw, only 1 of which Thanos gets defeated. He had to keep that path open for any possibility of eventually winning, whichis why he gave up the stone. Watching the movie, after Thanos got the 5th stone, couldn't see any way for him to be defeated, though was fully expecting him to lose at the end of this movie, so was expecting to be very disappointed in the ending. Lost that complaint. Though it was humorous how Samuel only got "Mutha" said before vanishing. Now am very much looking forward to IW2. No way they aren't bringing Groot, Starlord, & Spidey back. Black Panther too. -

Finally saw it yesterday (kids are home from college, so we waited to go) and saw that in the end credits crawl but hadn't caught that in the scene w/ the Collector. Will have to look for it whenit's out on BluRay. When 1/2 the people started vanishing you could've heard a pin drop. Surprised that it seemed everyone in the theater was just watching the movie for the 1st time, but guess they were. Agree on the "NOT SPIDERMAN, TOO!" -
It's sad. This woman EXPECTED that the police officer wanted to mess with her & because of that, she heard not what the officer said but what she expected him to say and do. To me, that is a microcosm of the most unfortunate part of 44's legacy. Rather than celebrate how much better race relations have gotten within his lifetime - a black man certainly was not going to be elected President when he was born but we've moved so far that he WAS elected President - while still acknowledging that there is still room for improvement; his supporters have focused on what remains to be done while minimizing what has been accomplished to such an extent that this woman misinterpreted the situation so completely that she expected to get lynched. Really was hoping that after 2008 we'd've been able to enter a "post racial" era. Not even close. Which is truly a shame because we had a great opportunity. People do not get lynched for simply going 15 mph over the speed limit if they respond to the situation by being calm and respectful of the police officer that pulled them over. That they expect to get lynched is a travesty. Fortunately, she did remain rather calm & respectful on the outside, and no situation arose while the 2 were in contact. Watching the body cam version it appears she handled her encounter better than EII describes his contacts w/ the police. Would be cool if that could get a wider distribution and show people that even though you might be nervous, you really can get through an encounter w/ the police without getting shot. (Not a chance of that being the lesson learned from this. )

The Bills teams of late 80s and early 90s
Taro T replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wrong. They were 14-2 with both losses coming in the regular season finale with a lot of the starters resting as home field was already clinched in '90 & '91. Andit took OT for the playoff bound Lions to win their game. That 1 still sticksin Ditka's craw. Including the 4 Super Bowl losses, the Bills were 10-6 vs the NFC those 4 years. Darn shame Talley played SB XXV w/ only 1 good arm. Probably could've stopped at least 1 3rd & forever conversion which probably would've been enough to win it. Also stinks that McKeller's obvious catch on the final drive was reviewed. Cost the Bills at least 7 seconds. Could've been the 1 extra play they needed to get the 7 yards to make it a 40 yard attempt. -
You think he has an inflamed gator? Ewww. That seems painful. (Both catching the gator and having it inflame.)

She supports whatever is politically expedient. Always has, always will. That she turned on an ally in what seemed a matter of minutes was par for the course. -
NY state attorney general resigned 5-7-18
Taro T replied to mead107's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Will have to look closer at the NYS Constitution. Not sure where or why it is written that we can only elect scumbags as our state AG. But that MUST be the law because we seem to follow it religiously. -

Not terribly surprising that Gillibrand was one of Schneiderman's critics calling for him to resign. -
No ####ing way! Saw the EXACT SAME THING last Thursday in Michigan. It's a conspiracy! They're organizing (in an extremely random, disorganized way). 'Cept the 1 in Michigan was atop a typical 3 wire fence around a farmer's field.

Sabres & NHL 2017-18 - Entry Draft on June 22
Taro T replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Until this 7 season stretch started, the Sabres have been top 3-4 in team winning percentage throughout their history. A lot of that's due to the '75-'80 teams being the 2nd best team in the league. There was a lot of talent in those early years, and evenin that 10 year drought that they couldn't win a playoff series they were only sub-0.500 one time - the year that let them draft Turgeon. In '89 they had the 3rd best record in the entire league & had to play the team w/ the 4th best record in the 1st round; during a season that 16 out of 21 made the playoffs. -
That would be Retatta.

Oh yeah. Definitely glad "ol' sugar packets" Golisano bought 'em. Even with how bad 7/1/7 was it was better than having the Yotes at best.
