  1. I'm sure it will be great! Funny though, I was just thinking about the show a few weeks ago. My wife and I always watched Parenthood which ended this season. Nelson was really good in it, but it was always weird for me to see him so old when I can still remember the early days of coach. Parenthood was often followed up with Modern Family where I got to see an aging, very overweight Ed Oneill who never be anything but Al Bundy to me.
  2. He's DEAD!
  3. 1st comment is interesting, I'm looking forward to all of the options. 2nd comment...ouch.
  4. I tried to look up some info on it quickly, but there's not a lot out there. A few years ago I got a pamphlet from a local farm selling beef about the advantages of slow cooking. It helps a lot when cooking meat that isn't finished on grain. I gave it a try with regular beef and it's amazing. I make big patties and cook medium/low until finished. Juiciest, best tasting burgers I've ever made (and that was on a gas grill...it's even better on charcoal). It obviously takes a lot longer, especially when you have to wait for the coals to cool down, but it's really worth it. Since then I've experimented with a few different styles. Honestly, I think searing and flash heating to "seal in the juices" is all bunk. I do like a blackened crispy burger sometimes so I will occasionally cook that way, but if I want a tender, juicy burger (as I almost always do), it's slow. Note, I haven't cooked on cast iron in a long time. I don't think going slow would work in that regard.
  5. To each their own, but I'm with you. I don't care about press conferences to introduce players we already know signed and I REALLY don't care what number players where. While I'm on the subject of things I don't care about ( ), I don't care about he inevitable "nickname" threads that are sure to pop up in the coming weeks (oh, oh, what should we call our awesome new offense????)
  6. All condiment considerations aside, the most important part is to cook it SLOW.
  7. Do the Bills still owe him? If things went down like the media told it, he was given the opportunity to stay, but decided to leave. Seems like if he left on his own, he wouldn't get that money.
  8. Did that copy and paste like that or did you actually link every one of those things?
  9. Based on his high numbers, he's saying Clay is worth 7 mil per year with about 3.5 mil per year guaranteed. The Bills are paying 7.6 mil per year with 4 mil per year guaranteed. Not exactly a whopper of a difference. Everyone is trying to find a way to make this a horrible contract for the Bills (especially those that will only focus on the 1st two years of the contract), but it's pretty much in line (slightly high which is generally required to pull a player from another team) for a quality TE.
  10. Any time I have cravings I just think about how much cigs cost now. I remember being PISSED the first time I had to pay over $2 for a pack (on a trip to home to NY...surprise). Now they're like $7-$8 a pack (quick search shows cheapest is $4.96 and most expensive is $14!!!---in NYC). There are times that I miss smoking, but I can't imagine how people continue to afford the habit. I used to smoke about half a pack a day (which was relatively low compared to most other smokers I knew). Around the time I quit it was costing me around $3.50 per pack so in the neighborhood of $650 per year (stupid enough). Now that would cost me closer to $1,500 per year based on the most recent cost I noticed at the store I go to. Wow...
  11. It happens. I think for me after a year it was pretty rare, but even now (after about 5 years) I'll have random cravings. I very rarely drink, but every time I do I want a smoke. Outside of drinking, the cravings are completely random but they're usually gone after as soon as I start focusing on something else.
  12. Wow...while both are impressive I think this is far more so! I plan on attempting this some time in the future.
  13. To expand a little bit on what was already explained, in the first trip out with Glenn they told him about their system (split up, set off a flare if something goes wrong, meet up, etc... He also said that the others died because they didn't follow the system and didn't listen to his command. In this episode he was admitting that it was actually the two of them that panicked and left the others to die. There's certainly going to be a **** storm when Glenn comes back and tells everyone what happened. I have to admit I really don't like the Priest angle. It just doesn't make sense and comes across like they needed a way to plant doubt in her mind before they returned with news about her son. I think it would have flowed better if he confronted her AFTER they came back...telling her she can't just trust their word because they've done bad things...I don't know; seemed cheesy to me. EDIT: I'll also add the same cheesy comment to the Abraham work crew situation. So Deanna gets one of the Rick's crew to help her start a government, puts Rick and Michonne into the only two police positions, but now she's stressed out over Abraham being put in charge of the work crew??? Yeah, that makes sense. I haven't read the comics, but I have to agree with Dorkington here; they are really trying to push through this Alexandria storyline as fast as they can. I know everyone complains about the long boring story arcs, but I disagree. I think this is the wrong way to write the show.
  14. 6 seems like a lot for a team that plans to run first. Goodwin has to be the one to go if they drop to 5. I've always liked his potential, but it won't be a huge loss given his actual output while here.
  15. Yeah, they may have finally found a way to beat the Patriots. It really is tough seeing players I like going to NE. I'm really glad I didn't have to deal with Freddy signing there.
  16. Someone calls that every single time we cut a player. Seriously?
  17. IF they wanted to make the move, now is a great time. New QB's, new OL around him. You can't pick a much better time to swap out a center.
  18. That's the formula because there isn't any other choice. There are no QBs available that offer a real threat. There is no "gamble". So what's the discussion?
  19. Man, we gave up a lot for a WR that is going to be thrown to by a QB on a leash.
  20. Henderson was really bad last year. Understandable for a rookie, but not a guy you consider for LT yet.
  21. Is Bulaga an option inside? He'd be a nice upgrade over Henderson for sure, but that still leaves a G spot open. I think I'd prefer going after a true guard and giving Henderson a chance to develop. Go after T next year if he doesn't. I'd certainly prefer Evans over Iupati.
  22. Surprised me to see Luck already on there. That's going to one crazy contract!
  23. I think it's probably good for the players in the end. They can come to an agreement with a team and still have another team swoop in and raise the offer a day or two later. The original team couldn't do much about it, even complain openly, since there can't be a deal in place. Hughes is another example of how it can work. The Bills got a chance to let him get offers without the worry of him signing elsewhere before they had a chance to counter.
  24. I haven't owned one, but I hear nothing but great things about the HTC One (M8). Might be worth checking out.
