  1. Isn't this the pet peeve thread? So I guess that's mine.
  2. You're referring to the timing? I've only read a handful of these types of articles, so in other words I really don't know **** about it, but it seems like the opinion that it will happen is pretty much fact. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying people should be fleeing the area; just curious if it's really even on the radar of the average person.
  3. This topic seems to be getting a lot more attention lately, which I suppose is good. I wonder if this knowledge is/will be a reason for people to leave the area; or keep people from moving there. Any board members that live there want to chime in? I assume most have the attitude that this will likely not happen any time soon so why worry about it.
  4. That type of thing is somewhat expected with a new offense and is certainly something that can get better with repetition, but the fact that there's such a clear history of it with EJ makes hoping for that a lot less likely. Honestly, I've never been a fan of the pick, but of course hoped he would prove me wrong, especially after coming in and at least sounding and looking the part of a leader. It's early, still time for a surprise. Astro, if you're still reading, while I know it's impossible to go over every little detail, I'm also interested in your take regarding what the media is seeing in the QBs (doom and gloom) vs. your much calmer view. Media exaggeration? A fans skew? Somewhere in the middle?
  5. This has been done before with Joshua Bell, world famous violinist.
  6. 1a. Bills 1b. Gators 3. Orange Basketball 4. Orlando Magic 5. Don't really have a 5th....been trying to get into hockey but it isn't taking.
  7. Yeah, that's what I said. I was just adding that even though it's not much of a charge, it's worth getting him for whatever they can.
  8. I don't think it's so much about the enjoyment of the situation, but about the attention they can get when they post it online. We have a serious attention whore problem.
  9. I bet he got the idea from the movie Nightcrawler (pretty decent movie streaming on Netflix right now). I'm glad they're pursuing charges just on principle, but it won't be much. Based on the article it doesn't sound like he was first on the scene and 911 was likely already called. He didn't do anything to hurt them, just acted like a horrible human being.
  10. MeTV starting coming OTA for me and then I lost it. Welcome Back Cotter was cracking me up.
  11. This makes almost no sense. Sling has around 250,000 users and ESPN is considering pulling the deal because they are down over 3M subscribers?? I think they may be looking in the wrong place for their problems. Oh well, I haven't watched ESPN in years because I won't pay for the cable subscription. If they pull from Sling, they lose their ad revenue from that platform as well. On a different note, this article could be pretty important as we continue to discuss the unending increase in the NFL salary cap and how that affects continuing negotiations. I doubt it's imminent, but this could be the beginning of lower TV deals and advertising revenue.
  12. That's because the article was less about EJ being a great QB and far more about how illogical the play calling was. Why change the play calling when EJ was doing fine the way things were? Just because you want to make it specifically about how bad EJ is doesn't mean that was the intent of the author.
  13. Actually he's jumping with the Golden Knights.
  14. Switched hands?
  15. Yes, but I think the show would lose a lot if they had just all of a sudden turned all of those girls into hardened criminals in order to add storylines. Again, the ending of the show should basically set them up to get around that next season. Honestly, I'll probably give season 4 a shot, but I doubt I'll continue watching. My guess is it becomes a little too cliché and loses the quality that made it a unique show to me.
  16. I think there's just only so much they can do with the show. They spent the first 2 seasons making the characters far less dramatic and dangerous than most prison shows (as they should in a minimum security prison), so it kind of limits where they can go with it. I think the final scene of the season promotes that as well. They're pretty much at a standstill with the same old characters.
  17. That sounds like he injured his hand and was attempting to light fireworks on the way to the hospital. Based on the picture, it's pretty shocking only one of his fingers was amputated.
  18. These 17 year old "sexual assaults" are getting out of hand, especially the dance studio one.
  19. Ah, I really haven't been searching out any info, but I had only seen that he may have been caught with pot and was possibly in the dog house regarding some on the field issues (punching someone if I remember right). Big difference between that and possibly being kicked off the team. Thought I read he was expected to be the starter on a very solid Clemson OL this year. Anyway, I assume Dabo has given all the relevant info to the teams asking for it. I doubt there will be any real surprises.
  20. It's kind of crazy to me the difference in how teams approach the supplemental draft compared to the regular draft. As far as I can tell, Battle's off-field issues are pretty minor compared to plenty of guys who end up being high draft picks. It seems to me Battle offers a pretty low risk/high reward for a 3rd or 4th round pick, especially since he won't have any pressure to start in year 1. I guess it call comes down to what the "real story" is behind his decision. Since I don't know anything about him, I really don't care if the Bills try to get him.
  21. One minute in and I was already sick of her sh**.
  22. IMO, those teams were so good you can't really predict any other team to be on their level (kind of like saying "the next Michael Jordon"), but I do think the Bills at least have the potential to be that good. They have the talent and they have the coaching. A lot of things have to come together perfectly to have a year like those teams did, but at this point in the off-season, I think the Bills have done everything they can to be that good.
  23. Or Glenn. Or one of the backups. Or he transitions to guard and one of them gets cut. Or he sucks and gets cut. Guess it's pretty wide open.
  24. The Bill's were so deep at WR they cut an Olympian in training camp?
  25. Dude, you'll take away my rights to short sleeve shirts over my cold dead body! hmm...can I blame auto-correct?
