  1. ....and considering how bad Bell was last year, middle of the road is a big step forward. He has the athleticism to continue to improve as well. Hangartner, is what he is. Mediocre to date, particularly in the run game., however his pass protection seems to have improved this year a bit and the pocket has been collapsing a lot less, at least in the middle. W have gotten a lot of heat coming around Green and Howard at RT. Maybe Wrotto will be an improvement as it's tough to be much worse. The more I watched Howard in replays of games from the past couple weeks, the less I liked his performance.
  2. Now that's a true old timer..... I go back to the 1966 season and the loss to KC in the Championship game as a wee lad.....
  3. Bills Daily doesn't list Evans as inactive. It does list Merriman and Howard as injured inactives along with healthy scratches being Ashton Youboty, Aaron Maybin, John McCargo, Mike Balogun, and Alex Carrington. Youboty has had a myriad on injuries and seemed to always be nicked up one way or the other, but when he did play, he seemed quite capable. He too must have seriously fallen out of favor with Gailey and coaches. Would have liked to see Carrington get some PT, but again, he's out.
  4. As my son and our family have all received support from the Make A Wish Foundation (and understand some of the wonderful things they do for ill children and their families), that was a very nice thing to do. Thanks.
  5. Maybe he'll get a few snaps (we do need help on extra points it seems....)
  6. I don't recall Felser making this suggestion, but I do recall the infamous genius John Rauch suggesting this and wanting to use OJ at WR and as a decoy. Number 1 draft pick overall, and he wanted to use OJ as a decoy?
  7. Murray may turn out to be a talent, but what does this have to do with an attack on Mallett, unless of course you have an anti-Mallett agenda and you're reaching for confirmation of it. I suppose watching Luck, means Mallett sucks too? Make no mistake, I'm not defending Mallett, but critique him on his own merit or lack thereof. Oh, I get it, you're in training as a political spinner.
  8. Wang was down for quite a while, but he has risen and is finally ready to take a pounding.
  9. Since he played the second half against the Bears, and seemed to do a bit better than Howard, it doesn't appear to be a loss at this point for Howard not being able to start (or play).
  10. In all fairness to Brohm, he was given a very stripped down play book from the Jauron era offense. Pretty hard to evaluate a QB from that. I would like to see him play a bit as well. Yet while Fitz's scatter shot arm and mechanics drive me crazy, he does appear to have pretty good command of the offense and has shown a strong ability to be able to prepare for and read a defense. The only real exception to this was against the Jets, in which he looked like Edwards throughout the game. In his other 5 starts, only his somewhat frequent errant throws cost him and the Bills. Sadly, some of those were huge.
  11. Trust you? Why? Just asking............
  12. I somewhat agree. Corey may well be an effective old school FB. You remember, the ones that actually carried the ball...... I like watching him run.....what few times he gets the chance.
  13. Edwards - 0 - 2 Fitz - 0 - 6 (but much more exciting in 4 of the 6 games) Sad day when a few numbers outweigh WINS......sad day indeed.
  14. Duane Edwards has been very disappointing. Wasn't expecting a sack master, but some pressures and an occasional sack would have been nice. Stroud? Stick a fork in him, he's done. Just wasting snaps. It's well past time to get Carrington on the field, coach him up (no more standing straight up). Hell, the way Stroud has played, maybe even give McCargo a few snaps. Stroud gets no pressure on a QB and it boogles the mind that anyone reallt thought Stroud (washed up at Tackle) would be able to play DE successfully.
  15. Favre - 2011 We'll see. I believe he likes the cat and mouse game as much as he likes playing the game. Time for Favre to go.........please!
  16. Is Moats getting snaps because he's a good looking young talent, or is it because our other OLB's are so horribly poor?
  17. Here's to keeping our fingers crossed.
  18. SDS? Server re-boot?
  19. That would be nice, but we all know the Bills haven't any Luck, and they don't seem likely to have any any time soon.
  20. Referring back to PTR and for reasons he stated, it won't happen unless Fitz gets hurt.
  21. Who knows what's changed. Same guys, no picks and when one appears to be coming our way, it's dropped. But, to ask for less Fitz complaints, like respect for the Bills, that will come when he finds ways to win a game instead of throwing his multiple picks in the 4th, which has been the case more often than not. His inconsistent accuracy is more than fair game as well.
  22. Fez, it's been long rumored around here that you're on DirecTV's payroll. I don't care about that, but how much do they pay you?
  23. Yesterdays injury to Parrish is reminiscent of an injury Thurman took his last year in Buffalo. He took a quick throw from Flutie aro0und the line of scrimmage that was thrown very high and as TT went up for the ball, he open his mid-section wide to get killed, and he did. Cost him 10-11 games. Parrish goes high and wide for yet another wild throw from scatter-arm Fitz, and lands awkwardly trying to make a very important catch. Sometimes QB's throws leave WRs defenseless. As did Thomas, Parrish (and the Bills) will pay a high price for this one from Fitz. I amy be over-reacting, but Fitz's wildness and penchant for 4th quarter interceptions is driving me crazy. Helps get us into a game, then ends it with his 4th quarter misfires.
  24. It's not just making mistakes, it is more that his accuracy fails him frequently throughout the game. With the game on the line, the failed accuracy increases exponentially.
  25. Johnson has been a very pleasant surprise, but from the word of Fitz last week, teams still cover with with a single guy and reserve the doubles for Evans. I too like what I see, especially the past three weeks, but lets not let hyperbole rule the day. We'll know he's a number 1 when teams rotate coverage his way and begin to consistently double him. Heck, Evans drwa the double coverage last year allowing Owens many single coverage catches. I'm not anointing Evans anything, but watch the coverages. One good thing, with Johnson, Scoe, and Nelson playing well, it makes it tough on teams to simply try to take Evans out of the game as they've set their aim to do so for the past few years.
