Brett Farve announces Parkinson's Diagnosis
DrDawkinstein replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, he is genuinely asking for more government money for something he believes in and that would help his investment. But when it comes to feeding poor, hungry kids... ***** em. From the article: "Prevacus' founder, Jacob VanLandingham, pleaded guilty to wire fraud in July, admitting that he used Mississippi welfare money to pay off gambling and other debts. Favre spoke about his involvement in a sprawling Mississippi welfare case. At least $77 million in TANF funds, earmarked for poor families, were diverted to the rich and powerful, according to a 2019 Mississippi state audit." To be clear, those are two separate things. Two separate incidents that Favre has been a part of that stole and misused government funding for personal gain of the rich. -

Just 2 seasons ago we were a finesse line that could only pass protect. Now we lock down the rush AND have a crew of mean, nasty road graders. LETS GO! -
Keon Coleman - benched 1st quarter for being late

We can fix that -
Credit where credit is due. McD had another coaching clinic tonight, maybe even more so than in Miami. The talent was on full display, but the players were disciplined, well-prepared, and laser focused. Kudos to McD, and Brady and Babich.

Does anybody else prefer to watch Bills games alone?

For as old as Promo is, I give him credit for being sneakily super hip. He's surprised me a few times over the years. -

I mean, they made some decent draft picks. The problem is they let them ALL walk in order to... throw more money at 30 yr old Hill and 30 yr old Jalen Ramsey. No love for the trenches. Cant win in the NFL with that.

Here you go. Whipped this up and made it more familiar for most of us TBD members...

Trying to google, but it might do with where the ball is recovered. As in, the fumbling team gets the ball where the 2nd player original recovers it, not back at the spot of the fumble. The recovering player can not run and advance it. But since they recovered it in the end zone its a TD. I'm mostly pulling that out of bad memory and my butt. But it sounds right to me, and if I believe it, it's true. edit: I was wrong, @zow2 was right https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/nfl-video-rulebook/fumbling-in-the-end-zone/ In American football the offense cannot advance the ball if it recovers its own fumble on fourth down, or in the last two minutes of a half, unless the ball is recovered by the fumbler. Any player of either team may recover or catch a fumble and advance, either before or after the ball strikes the ground.

Awesome! Well deserved, but I was worried that playing on Thursday would get overshadowed by more recent Sunday performances. Cant deny 3 TDs, especially the way he pulled them off.

It's not just last year's game, which was a complete team/coaching debacle. The travel-timing excuse is bs. Other teams traveled to London on our schedule and still won, and didnt take 2 more weeks to adjust after getting back. But in 2021 we lost in Jacksonville 9-6 in a mess of a game. Barely squeaked out a home win in 2019. And of course, the 2017 playoff loss. Could go all the way back to the EJ London meltdown as well. Just something about our franchises, we rarely match up well against them. Of course a lot of that (pre-2017) obviously isnt on McD, but something about our rivalry with Jacksonville just seems stacked against us. The Giants used "NASCAR" as their call for their all-DE line scheme they put together to beat Brady and the undefeated Pats. NASCAR racing, all fast DEs off to the races... All the fame and publicity from that Super Bowl made the label popular. Folks just took it from there.

Going from the Dolphins to the Jags is a great case study in the extremes of McD's coaching. He always owns the Dolphins, we always drop bad games in the worst ways to the Jags. Let's see how he does against Pederson next.
