  1. I'm pretty certain it has had zero effect on anything real. The only effect it has had is putting sand in the panties of a bunch of adult fans on social media. The Diggs manipulation was far more in-house stuff than anything posted on social media. The storming out of locker rooms, the conflict and walking out on McDermott, the conflicts with Josh, etc. Those are all real things that actually effect the team. Social media posts do very little to move the needle with the team in reality.
  2. It's crazy to me how personal Bills fans are taking/making this. Dude is staring at his (likely) one chance to get paid. Of course he should be pushing for as much money as possible, any and every way possible. We'd all do the same thing for ourselves and our families.
  3. Fear-based decision making. Right up there with Playing not to lose. Sounds about right.
  4. I know you arent advocating strongly for it, but drafting a RB early would be a major waste of resources. And drafting a RB early to gain leverage in Cook negotiations would almost be a fireable offense. Beane can and will get a deal done. That's the real option. And with that option, folks need to just tune out and not get so worked up over a couple of social media comments. It's like a middle school here in the offseason.
  5. No, not at all. This is old school message board posting. We arent following individual people to get information from/about them. We're anonymous commenters.
  6. Ignore social media. That's just a general rule for all of us to live by, too
  7. That is your opinion on something we arent involved in. Maybe it is a line in the sand. Doesnt matter to me or you one bit. It'll come down to the conversation between his agent and Beane.
  8. The dialogue is between his agent and Beane. And I promise you that Beane doesnt give 2 ***** about a couple of small, social media comments.
  9. She looks like a franchise QB. Boom, roasted.
  10. He made a couple of social media comments. Not even posts. We have no idea what his agent has asked for or will ask for. But all yall are up in your feelings about it. "It" being social media comments... If that is their starting point, then it's all but guaranteed he will settle for less. Both sides come to the table at their extreme. I know that happens around the NFL, and can happen anywhere. But it isnt the Bills MO. First, there is much more back and forth, and the Bills will surely counteroffer (maybe only once, but they will present a full deal with bonuses, incentives, and guarantees outlined). This has happened with nearly everyone Beane has had to re-sign. And outside of Edmunds (who we didnt care to re-sign), and when Shaq and Jordan Phillips chased the money, Beane has re-signed everyone at a team-friendly yet player-fair deal. And I'm sure all of those negotiations started with the player/agent asking for more than they ultimately got.
  11. Buncha bootlickers in this thread, trying to line the pockets of billionaire owners who dont work for their money.
  12. To be fair, he LOOKS like a franchise QB... but that's about it. He certainly doesnt play like one. And I never thought he ever did, even going back to Clemson. He always seemed like a guy who made it that far because he's 6'6" 220lbs, and football teams just hoped he'd turn into a real QB some day.
  13. Need to follow the Watson/Tucker/Kraft method. Keep those wrists healthy.
  14. We dont know what Johnson will cost. And I literally have a post in here detailing exactly what I want to pay Cook that is well short of $15M. In your completely made up, (almost unreasonably) extreme example, I'd agree that's too much investment at the RB spot. I think it can be done for less.
  15. I'd imagine it's a big goal and priority for McDermott and Beane to never have a player stuck with the Franchise Tag. Those are usually situations that lead to unhappy players, and issues in the locker room. Either pay your guys (like White, Oliver, Josh, Knox, Taron, etc) or dont (like Edmunds).
  16. Bills Fans seemingly have issues wrapping their heads around "We can have more than 1 nice thing" since the old Fred Jackson/Marshawn Lynch debate. We should be able to keep Cook AND Johnson. And have Ray Davis in the wings in case of injury.
  17. 3yr/$36M extension, $20M guaranteed. Then we have him at a reasonable price through his prime (29 yrs old). And after that he still has time to go sign another high-priced contract with some desperate team like the Raiders.
  18. Oh, James Cook is the new whipping boy, interesting. And its due to... checks notes... a social media comment, and cleaning up his social media profile. Ooooooo k... gonna be a long offseason with yall...
  19. My only complaint is that @SDS keeps raising the rates. Charging my card $100/month just so I can post here is a getting a bit ridiculous. Other than that, I love this board. From the clean design and asthetic, to the way it's moderated, to the community that "lives" here. Having so many members who meet in real life helps a great deal, compared to other boards I've been a part of. Keeps discussions civil and in perspective. I try to treat every conversation/debate here as if we were all chatting at a tailgate. Keeps things light and free of grudges. Gonna be a long offseason tho.
  20. To be fair, he said "$15 Mill year" NOT "$15 Mill a year" Maybe he meant this past season was so good for him, it was worth $15M and he's ready to sign a 3yr/$15M extension. 🤷‍♂️ Hey, a guy can dream.
  21. I didnt realize he's only 27. Would be nice to keep him around. I have to imagine he is happy being in Buffalo, with his man Kromer, and with Josh. Would love to keep him. If not, we also have SVGP waiting around in the wings.
  22. I didnt watch any of the game, but what I'm seeing today just confirmed what I was worried about when the Bills were still in it. The Eagles were a force and ready to bully anyone that stood in their way. The Bills/Josh might have fared a bit better, but it still would have been a bad day in Bills Land. And the only headline about the Bills would be about us finishing our cycle of losing Super Bowls to every team in the NFC East.
  23. Movie? Got a trailer link?
