  1. Yep. I am far from Rosen on politics and religion. So what? I'm looking for the best qb for my football team. (Happen to think it's Mayfield, but Rosen is right there.)
  2. Excellent pick. Lots of good running backs in this draft. Get a nice one later on. I think they might and I sorta think they should.
  3. The exercise is interesting, but one ought to at least see where the fellas go before guessing at futures.
  4. Oh, I agree. Well, I think we know Hackenberg is not an NFL qb. Jury is still out on Allen, but I think he has a chance to be really good. Hence, I'll be rather glad if you pass on him, but I understand why Jets might do so.
  5. I would also be somewhat surprised. Some folks think Allen is like Hackenberg. I think there will be some hesitation to take a similar risk with an expensive pick. I kinda like Allen, though I get why people think he will be a bust.
  6. Yes, that is always a problem.
  7. This is plausible and disgusting, so I'm going to pretend you are wrong. I should clarify. I don't hate Jackson, but he's my fifth out of five in the first for qb. Rudolph I am throwing a brick at my old tellie.
  8. I thought this was a confession of paternity. I was going to ask you to tell Baker to stop wearing the stupid Karate Kid headbands.
  9. SouthNYfan's answer is something of a counter. If you can pitch Browns and Giants against one another, perhaps you can lower the cost.
  10. Not even sure I would pay that for 1 overall. If I'm the Bills, I think my limit is 12, 22, 53, 65, and 2019 2nd.
  11. Uggh. Much worse.
  12. Could happen, but the cost would also be insane. Probably not a lot of cost control if you want to get that high, but if it's a real tight time window with competition, you could go Vegas broke in a heartbeat. That said, highly doubtful the Browns don't go qb at 1. Trent Murphy reminds me more of Fitz than Darnold does
  13. I kinda think if there is a move for 1 or 2, it will happen before the draft, perhaps next week during the owner's meetings.
  14. I think you overpay at 1,2, and 4. I think the cost to move to 6 - 9 should not be terrible. You're probably guarding against perhaps the Phins, Cards, or maybe the Chargers moving up. Don't think they are in a position to outbid us.
  15. Possible the Bills are doing this as a tactic to instill some urgency in the Giants if we are pursuing trading up to 2.
  16. You don't think you can build a reasonably good team around a fella like Darnold in three or four years? Draft, plust FA (we have a lot of money next year) -- and it's five years for a first round rookie contract. You can't presume incompetency. If you do, then why play at all? You go get a franchise qb with the thought it is the most crucial piece and hardest to get in football.
  17. I don't think the Process envisions a complete roster for 2018. They will rightly go get the potential franchise qb. They will still have a second and third to address crucial needs. Lots of FA money next year. What won't be available in 2019? Numerous first round qb prospects.
  18. Alright, I'll take them. FInally get revenge for Music City Forward Pass
  19. I am technically at work, so I can't do justice to your thoughts. They seem rational and plausible to me at first glance, though I still suspect Cards or Chargers are more likely to trade up for qb than you suspect. I personally would trade up to four under this scenario and take Josh Allen or Baker Mayfield. I am torn on trading a 2019 1st, because the fellas who seem to know something say next year is a superlative year for DL in the first round. I do like the idea of hanging on to 22 where I would probably target lb.
  20. The most gaping hole on the team is qb. They are not going to risk losing out on a potential franchise qb by waiting to 22 to draft one. The pick at 12 will be qb or they will trade up. Still think the latter is most likely. I suspect in the end a fortune is paid to the Gmen to secure #2. They will pick a Josh, but I'm not sure which one.
  21. Ideally, you can have both talent and intangibles. I think if you lack arm talent and have the intangibles, you can be an average starter. Unfortunately, if you have superior talent and lack the qualities that cannot be quantified, you may be a bust. You have to judge beyond the measurable. On balance, however, I personally would opt for the fella with the talent. If you want a franchise qb, there's a threshold of natural talent, below which you just aren't going to have a top 5 qb.
