Years ago, I used to work in a Christian bookstore. Old folks would come in and ask for a large print, compact Bible. I'd tell them, you can have the tiny Bible or the large print, but you can't have both. Seems to me the Cardinals wanting not to retain any salary and also receive higher draft picks is the equivalent. No one is going for that, so compromise or maybe carry an expensive disgruntled WR on your roster for the year.

The higher the cost on Hopkins, the more Jeudy becomes an option, imo, though they lost a key wr to injury so I'm not even sure he's still on the table. Also, to be honest, I have more faith in Hopkins, so there's that.

I'm guessing you lose a lot at poker. I'm totally on board with acquiring Hopkins. You don't have to pay that much. If it doesn't happen, I doubt it's a compensation issue.
