  1. Agreed. I will be spending Draft Weekend in my man cave and nothing, I mean nothing will bring me out of it.
  2. The one guy I'm impressed with and would be thrilled if we drafted is B.J. Raji. We have absolutely no identity on defense and tag teaming Raji with Stroud would give us one. Oh, the days of Pat Williams and Ted Washington, while this might be a lesser version, I think it would have a ripple effect and lead to improvements in all aspects of our defense. I have concerns about each of the outside pass rushers that might be available when we pick and I have no faith that we would : 1. Pick the right one. Because I'm concerned with the bust factor of these guys 2. Would the Bills relegate the guy they choose to fourth defense end and out of loyalty to their 3 veteran " high motor" ends and barely let the rook they choose see the field.
  3. Hmm.....wonder what Austin Carr is doing these days.
  4. Yeah, Richard Gere's a-hole.
  5. Unfortunately, with the holes we have on our roster, we can't afford to have our second and third pick only account for one player. IMHO both times they traded up recently (for Poz and McCargo) it turned out to be a mistake. Poz is a league average starter, McCargo is a bust.
  6. Sounds like a typical John Guy signing. Guy is a grave robber on this one.
  7. Astro there is no way the Eagles spend their two first round picks on a RB and WR. Check their track record under Andy Reid, it's just not happening. Adjust the computer as needed.
  8. He has us trading down with the Jets. The Jets pick the fast rising QB Josh Freeman. We take Petttigrew and get pick/s. NFP
  9. If you haven't checked out The Beatles "Love" Album- may I suggest this is a great album to listen to for your "stated purpose" very trippy.... Enjoy! The Beatles- Love
  10. Buftex: Happy Birthday- I hope you and Pyrite Girl have a memorable evening together!
  11. No problem LSI. Umm.... I mean ExiledInIllinois
  12. Originally from Buffalo- but have lived in Chicago 3X, Philadelphia 3x and Boston 1x. While I am a bit of a wanderer, I am no pyrite. Ramius "outed" Pyrite Gal earlier in the thread.
  13. The astericks mean I am based out of Chicago much of the year, but do work remotely from Buffalo sometimes.
  14. Agreed. He is a late first, early second round talent- who at best could fall to the mid second.
  15. Is he a marginal special teams player? If so he's on the speed dial.
  16. I wouldn't buy any draft book that is printed BEFORE the combine results. A number of them out there are just completely irrelevent because they are rushed to print without worrying about being as accurate as possible. Pro Football Weekly puts out a magazine that is out now- but I would suggest waiting to buy their draft book that is released at the end of this month. Book It is $19.95 online and is also carried at Borders, Barnes&Noble etc. in the book section, though, sometimes it's mixed in with the magazines. I've been buying this book each year for well over a decade. Originally the material was put together by Joel Buschbaum, but he passed away a few years ago. As much as I miss his commentary I think Nolan Nawrocki has been quite accurate recently.
  17. Speaking of Da Town. Attached is a poster I made in Photoshop of Lynch that I had him sign several copies of last training camp. Marshawn
  18. Seriuosly, anything by Sufjan Stevens. Sufjan Stevens
  19. Never heard of them.
  20. Randon thoughts: I put alot of stock in Mayock's projections, his track record at identifying talent is very strong. Thus, reservations I have about Ayers are a muted because of Mayock's belief in him. It's important to remember that while Ayers sack numbers are not strong, he did have 15.5 tackles for a loss. which is a strong reflection that he is able to get pressure. Just a note though- that you bring up Tuck and Umenyiora, they were much more productive college players. Tuck had 13.5 sacks as a junior and Umenyiora had 16 in his final college season. Obviously a bonus with Ayers is, like Tuck, he will be able to be moved inside on passing downs-while the smallish ends/linebackers like Brown and Maybin can't provide that versatility.
  21. Actually the best I see at projecting the draft each year is Nolan Nawrocki of Pro Football Weekly. 2008 Mock Draft Last year he hit on 12 of the first round picks. Not bad. He was extremely accurate with the top 10 picks.
  22. We can use this when trying to contact Tim. Tim Graham
  23. National Football Post The National Football Post has the Bills taking Ayers in the first round.
  24. This thread was started at 9:32 am, are we sure the count is still at only 11?
