Wouldn't this leave 5 teams in the second round?

After we drafted EJ I watched clips of him at FSU and he seemed to be agile, and a fast runner. When he got to Buffalo he looked as if he was running in sand. I never understood that.

Please, don't apologize for nitpicking. I appreciate it, and have been on this board for more than 20 years to discuss the Bills. Actually, Miller was drafted in 2015, so that would really be 4 years. To go a step further, in 2014 the Bills actually drafted 3 blockers. The problem was that they all sucked. I get teased all the time about my preference for Alabama players and I deserve it. The thing is, I watch all of their games and have for years. I posted on TSW that Cyrus Kouandjio was a terrible pick. It hurt me to do so because he was a great kid at Alabama but he was the 4th or perhaps even 5th best blocker on that Alabama team, and this was well before his incident. John C will vouch for me if he sees this post. He was surprised lol. Historically, the Bills neglect the OL. They traded away Glenn. That was bad but Jason Peters?????? Imo he is a first ballot hall of famer player. They passed on all world blockers to draft Leodis McKelvin. The Bills skipped right past great QBs and blockers in order to draft RBs and dbs, and that includes this regime as you well know. In any event yes, the Bills have used some picks on blockers. However, none were first round picks and many of them were awful. They focus on DBs, and have since Levy. It has never worked and never will. Thanks once again for the dialogue.

As I said, if I was a betting man I would place a very large wager on the Bills. Seriously.

Maybe they should have Victor Allotey and Marcus Spriggs lead the charge together. Nah, never mind. The flag would fall and injure the quarterback.

He was a horrible draft choice. That year we had traded away our first round pick and that little shrimp was, although a second round pick, our first selection in that draft. Sadly, it would not be the last time we wasted a high pick for an all but useless gadget player.

I agree 100% with the above!!! The Bills have all this money in free agency and that is great, but if we continue to ignore key positions such as the Offensive Line in the draft, chances are that we will not get out of the miserable rut in the foreseeable future. Blockers, especially OTs are hard to get in trades or free agency, unless you are dealing with the Bills. We all know that Allen is talented. Fine thanks, but he needs protection and he needs weapons. I am well aware that teams cannot click on every draft pick, but if we could just find good players to surround our QB with, why shouldn't we win?

While I want a win, I would be 100% OK with a loss. That said, we long time Bills Fans know deep down that the Bills are going to win, gain nothing, and get a worse draft pick.

Yeah but so did the freaking jets! I don't usually feel this way but imo winning at this point serves little to no purpose. If I was into sports betting, I would place a seriously large wager on the Bills on Sunday, and I am 100% serious.

Well, on the other hand Foster has fresh legs and is less banged up than he would have been at virtually any other school although he will have to wait to really get paid. Also, look at what Bama players are doing this season in the NFL. They are tearing the league apart at numerous positions Dave. And as far as Foster and other receivers, I am guessing that Coach Saban sits in their homes and shows their parents copies of Julio Jones's contract when he is recruiting them.

Nice post but I fully disagree about Mayfield. A hybrid of one of the best passers ever and perhaps the best running qb ever (or at least top 5)? I hardly think so but again, I appreciate the post.

Yolo, I read an article on a Crimson Tide FB page that says Jalen Hurts is considering a transfer to Ohio State. It is supposedly a reputable source.

Coach Saban says he is very pleased with this class of recruits. He also claims that he focused heavily on the offensive line. This of course was a brilliant thing to do, considering that we will come to camp with at least 1 GREAT quarterback, and maybe 2 or 3 other star qbs. I sincerely believe that if the Crimson Tide can do a good job of blocking next season, they will be almost impossible to stop but of course anything can happen.

He will need them. Jeudy, Ruggs, and D. Smith are what I consider to be great receivers. I'm thankful that Waddle is only a freshman but he will need help.

That is what I suspected. Please don't get me wrong.....if he was that upset by the incident he should transfer out. I am all for it! It does however broach the possibility of a player who wants to leave a school actually planting someone in the crowd and behaving as such. Sorry, my brain thinks like this.

That is pretty amazing because once we sat behind the Bills bench in the 2nd row, and Pat Williams was bigger than Big Sam Adams.

I am hoping for wide receivers. We could realistically lose 2 great ones, perhaps 3 after 2019. And as you may have guessed, I am always wanting blockers, DL, and 3/4 olbs.
