  1. Its hard to compare the two because Waiters plays the Rautins in this offense...he's the 2 guard, while Flynn ran the point. Waiters is such a pure shooter and is making 37% of his 3's.
  2. I was just thinking about this the other day. Thanks for posting. Sounds like what she had was an episode of delirium. By all accounts, great woman and great mother/wife, which is why this event was so bizarre.
  3. They started off slow, but at the end of the 2nd half, they were making everything. They were 4-18 shooting at one point and ended up making 61% of their shots. Triche had a decent game making 4 straight 3's in the 2nd half and the defense got more stout as the game went on. Waiters is the real deal and Melo has been playing some decent ball underneath.
  4. I can relate to a certain extent. I've done radio/media sales for the home radio station of the Philadelphia Phillies where you worked off of a draw, which is a difficult concept to grasp, but you've explained it fairly well. In my industry, you had to cover your draw, which meant you had to bill at least enough on a monthly basis to cover it. Any additional money you billed on top of your draw, you would make commission on. However, you had a make or a miss rate of commission, which were several boxes you had to check off. If you check them all off (certain things like make your digital budget, make your auto sales budget, make your one day sale budget, etc), you would make your make. If you failed to sell a certain initiative, you would make your miss, which was a smaller percentage of commission. I was being paid an annual salary of $30k, but the commission rates were pretty good (26% for new business), where the average sale was about $5,000/month. The reason why it is tough to make a lot of money is because of the attrition. If you had 3 clients that were annual contracts, you would do well, but the annual deals were few and far between, so it is difficult to get that "base billing" that comes with several years experience in order to make a lot of money. Radio sales were a 24 hour a day job, requiring regular attending of networking events, often requiring you to shell out your own cash for drinks/dinner with clients, parking (when in a major city can run you $7-$11 per hour) and it can all add up. Not to mention the wear and tear you put on your car because you are in outside sales. I became frustrated at not being able to bank on making a certain amount of money every month. Certain months in the industry can be very dry and not a lot of people make money, which is difficult to deal with. The last few months have been tough and I started seeking new opportunities. I jam happy to say I just handed in my letter of resignation last Tuesday after getting recruited to do inside sales for a growing technology software company that recently got voted as being one of the top companies to work for in Philadelphia. I get a 30% increase in base salary ($40k/year) and I don't have a draw. Straight commission on anything I sell, which to start is 17.5% commission, which can increase to 25% commission if I hit accelerators. Plus, I get as much vacation time as I need, and the benefits are great. Sales is tough for sure, but car sales and radio/media sales are some of the tougher industries to sell for. I am sure you could find another sales opportunity and your experience selling cars would have prepared you well for it.
  5. Did Nix have a role in him getting selected by SD? I remember Nix talking about how they built that SD team to beat the Indianapolis Colts and their secondary, which was one thing that the Colts had was a terrible secondary. They wanted to have a size advantage over smaller CBs, so they drafted taller, more physically opposing WRs than the smaller gadget players like Roscoe and Desean Jackson. With that in mind I wonder if Chix are building this team with a particular team in the AFC they felt that would have to match up well against. If they wanted to have a team again that had the more physical WRs, then VJAX would be a great addition.
  6. Another pic of Carrie Shafer
  7. IMO, if Brady were to light up the Bills for 400+ yards and break the record that Brees just set, it would be one of the most unsportsmanlike incidents this game has seen in a long time. Pats will get a big lead and then put the backups in. I don't foresee the Bills putting up too much of a fight and Brees' record will remain intact.
  8. shrapnel flummoxed gigantomaquia vapid murmur visceral acquiesce coalesce poltergeist queef milquetoast halcyon
  9. Here is the remaining schedule and record of the teams that currently have the same record or worse than the Bills: IND: (1-13) Wk 16: Texans (10-4) Wk 17: @ JAX (4-10) MIN: (2-12) Wk 16: @ WASH (5-9) Wk 17: CHI (7-7) ST. LOUIS (2-12) Wk 16: @ PITT (10-3) Wk 17: SAN FRAN (10-3) BROWNS: (4-10) Wk 16: @ RAVENS (10-4) Wk 17: PITT (10-3) TAMPA BAY (4-10) Wk 16: @ PANTHERS (5-9) Wk 17: @ FALCONS (9-5) JAGUARS: (4-10) Wk 16: @ TENN (7-7) Wk 17: COLTS (1-13) DOLPHINS (5-9) Wk 16: @ NE (11-3) Wk 17: JETS (8-6) I think the Bills end the season at 6-10 and will be selecting between 8-10. This will take them out of the race for all 3 of the top QBs, unless they trade up.
  10. I've got him as a C+. They showed some signs of life this year early, but injuries to the O-Line, Freddie, Kyle Williams, and the WR corp hurt. The defense is terrible. Coaching staff on that side of the ball needs to replaced. The Fitz contract is looking like a huge mistake and they should address the QB position in the draft, however, I do think that Fitz could benefit from at least one more WR and a protoypical TE.
  11. It's time to start blaming the coaches and not the players at this point.
  12. Stevie was clearly frustrated with Fitzy all day. Fitzy threw terrible pass after terrible pass and really, gave his WRs today, no chance at making a play, epecially when he tried to get the ball to Stevie. I don't think that Stevie is the problem. He is a diva at times, but so aren't half the other WRs in the NFL. Face it, in the NFL today, there is no such thing as a WR corp that are humble. You're not going to find it.
  13. CJ with a broken tackle. Nice. I still have hope for him.
  14. Nice missed tackle by Kelsay
  15. That was Byrd on the return
  16. Had me until Snookie made a cameo.
  17. Apparently, Bernie Fine's wife, Laurie Fine, had a sexual relationship with the accuser Bobby Davis when he was 18, and had many relationships with other SU basketball players.
  18. I am going to liken this year's draft to what happened a few years back when Reggie Bush, for the longest time, was the undisputed #1 overall draft pick. Then, after the combine and all the information from the scouts and film was analyzed, the Texans, with the #1 overall pick were presumed to select Bush, only to pass on a "once in a lifetime prospect" and select Mario Williams. I have a feeling a similar situation will unfold this year with Luck. He is a good heady QB who makes a lot of decisions, but he will come with the expectations and the hype that has been heaped on him since the end of last year. In addition to that, his father was a former player and is an extremely visible part of West Virginia University where sources have said that Luck wouldn't play for certain organizations if he was drafted by them. I like both QBs, but I think Robert Griffin III has the biggest upside to be something extremely spectacular.
  19. To me, the Bills have the toughest schedule out of the 3. 3 straight away games 5 away games in total compared to just 4 for the Pats and Jets Tough road for sure
  20. Sad news. Philadelphia never embraced Joe, erecting a statue for a fictitious fighter, slighting one of the greatest accomplishments and characters this city has ever seen. I saw him a couple of times within the past year. The first, was in a hotel elevator at 3am in the city. The second was on Forbidden Drive, which is very popular with jogging/cycling/walking enthusiasts. I was told afterwards that Joe still ran 10 miles/day and that that part of Philly, was one of his favorite parts of the city.
  21. This year, they are averaging 3.7 YPC and have had serious issues in running the ball. Primarily because Cant'chise scares no one and opposing Ds are forcing the Jets to beat them through the air and not on the ground.
  22. I have watched a bunch of Jets games this year and he is a good corner, but every corner can be beaten. I wouldn't make it a habit to constantly throw his way, but I would pick my spots. He has a greater propensity of being beaten to the inside.
  23. It couldn't have been Norv, considering they fired Schotty after a 14-2 season.
  24. I read somewhere that they made $18MM from the wedding. Fuggin rediculous.
  25. For a second, I thought I was going to open this thread and see Stevie in white face.
