Game Thread: TNF: New England at Pittsburgh
Fan in Chicago replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was thinking the same thing. That guy sucks. BB knows it, which is why he is just playing to use up time knowing Trubisky ain't doing anything to get within FG distance -

BB trusts his defense and Trubisky. He thinks he can protect this lead -
Sources say ZERO PERCENT chance McD is fired
Fan in Chicago replied to Brand J's topic in The Stadium Wall
From this point onwards, even losing a single game may keep us out of the playoffs. If we go 4-1 and miss the playoffs, you think McD will keep his job? I am not predicting anything but think he should be fired not for how the season would have ended but for the performance of the team during the entirety of the season. -
That's a poor attitude to have when auditioning for the next paycheck. Instead, he should have been thinking "I am getting another chance with my current team, I am going to do my darndest to impress the other scouts around the league". The a$$hat just reduced his future options and net present value

Let's wait a week before proclaiming that. As the Chiefs have looked vulnerable, the Bills have blown games this year.

Von Miller faces arrest in domestic violence case in Dallas
Fan in Chicago replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
Part of me thinks that Kraft will fill Goodell's ears to NOT suspend Miller so the Bills can't get out of the contract. -
Rich Eisen Loves him some Josh Allen!

September 1993. X-Files "Pilot" featuring a short appearance by the Cigarette Smoking Man. Few months later, Superbowl 3rd quarter, Bills up 13-6, Thurman fumbles which Cowboys return for a TD and the Bills eventually lose.....

I was unable to watch that game as I was on a flight.... It's it fair to say that the O looked good for a second game in a row? Looking at the stats and seeing that we went toe to toe with a tough D, gives me some confidence that Brady has the O trending in the right direction. Am I right or are the stats telling an incorrect story?

What do you have to support your contention besides your own belief? This is a strange post. Yep.

What are you basing this assertion on? Conventional wisdom will say that Knox will take time to be effective. Also, it remains to be seen if his dropsies this year were due to the injury or because of him not concentrating (a problem he had for much of his early career). If he doesn't contribute to the offense this year, imo, he will be a trade chip for Beane Again, this remains to be seen. I couldn't see the Jets games but was Davis de-emphasized as a pass catcher ? Which may indicate Brady will prioritize targeting receivers with surer hands - Diggs, Kincaid, Shakir. Knox may come back to the team and not find a role for himself.

Week 12: Buffalo Bills vs Philadelphia Eagles

Even if this sounds basic, it will be great to score early and often. I think our D can then get them to pass more and control the game. If we start sleepy, this will be a long game -
The Truth About the Bills Run Game
Fan in Chicago replied to HoofHearted's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks as always. Very educational. Your conclusions re-inforce that (1) we didn't have consistency in the play calling and (2) plays did not build over each other. Based on what you are saying, our run game is pretty good either from gun or under center. The issue was that we didn't really use that strength to call an overall strong offensivd drive. McD said as much that we need more consistency and rhythm Heartening to read that we are much better run team this year . Evidenced by Cook's excellent yards on the ground That's what I am gathering as well -

Thank you for sharing that first video. We rarely get to see such ones -
I don't think we are far off from each other. Again, I am not denying there is a lack of interest and fire in Allen right now. All I am saying is that it's not cos he suddenly became lazy. I think there are other external reasons causing this to have happened. Fixable, imo
-
Yea I give him credit for working his way up, for making himself into the QB he was in 2020- half 2022. Lazy bums don't do that. He is certainly has some share of blame to take. Absolutely not denying that and he needs to again work his way back up. As for Dorsey, haven't you ever known a girl/guy for a while, start dating him/her and then realize he/she is actually a controlling psycho (female canine)?
-
Imo, the handoff issue was on Allen being lazy. As for Cook after the fumble, McD should have given him a few plays off but not as long as he did . Cook did play like a man possessed after going back in

AFC East is winless in the month of November.
Fan in Chicago replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow. So much for one of the best conferences in football as we thought in the pre season -
I really wonder if Allen started getting disillusioned with Dorsey last year and gradually became de-motivated. I really don't think a person who showed himself to be so driven to succeed 2019- mid 2022 suddenly became lazy and complacent. I said in a different thread that my speculation is that much of Allen's decline could have come from a poor relationship with Dorsey the OC. I am happy to see his protection has improved and with Kincaid and Shakir coming along, his receiving options have improved from last year. This will not turn around over night. Mental issues take time to sort out. I will rabidly root for the rest of this season but I am mentally prepared to this being a lost season with missed playoffs. When in itself is a travesty for an Allen led team

Bills Win 27-13 Brady has to do two things, imo, (1) Dont screw up things by drastically changing things and (2) Keep the scheme fairly simple and focus the team on executing Our D is good and their QB is trash. So we just need to be competent on Offense and have some kind of rhythm. Brady said it well "dont turn the ball over and score points".
