  1. Man, why are people so hypersensitive about the word Jew ? I can it being a problem if used in a racially derogatory context, but this current situation is tantamount to witch hunting. I am no supporter of SS but this latest flap does go too far. Apart from the racism slant, I have two other problems with that portion of the sentence (1) The word Jew makes no sense in this sentence (2) That entire sentence makes no sense.
  2. No, I do not want him. I am comfortable with our starter and backup(s).
  3. I was trusting it till that last sentence. That is too high a price. Even if it may just be an opening stand in a negotiation, it sounds too outlandish. I wouldn't price my hot dog at $20 knowing that all I am going to get $ 5 for it - everyone knows it is a hot dog and they can go down the street to get an equally good looking one for $5 without having to bother with negotiating the price.
  4. I think they are both class acts and well deserving to take their teams to the Superbowl. And I really don't give a rats a$$ about their ethnic, religious or sexual orientation.
  5. Hold that thought for a few weeks - we will see how the new management handles Nate Clements who I also see as a must-keep similar to the ones you named above.
  6. Maroney is a rookie. What you say about Samuel may happen. Anyway, I am not going to get into a bitching match because there is really no real argument from my side. I understand why most of you will disagree but I still think it is a premise worth evaluating by BB.
  7. Dude, it was just a thought. I am not predicting it or anything. Put aside your immediate reaction and think about this for a moment. 3 first rounders in this year's draft will allow them to draft perhaps a new QB, receiver and LB to replace the weak spots. They are $31 MM under the cap where they can also get some good FAs. Their pipeline of young talent will continue to remain full and help them be an elite team for another decade.
  8. I posted in another thread - wondering if last night's game and especially that int will get BB to think about trading Brady now.
  9. I was thinking last night if Bill Bellicheck will start thinking of trading Brady. I know it sounds outlandish but the Pats have made moves in the past - Vinateri, Milloy, Branch, maybe Bledsoe where they trade or let a player go just before they are 'past their prime' . They get good compensation for them and proceed to pick well through the draft. Brady will right now merit atleast two first rounders. Think of how they will be set for the next decade with three first rounders this year and two in the next. The last drive pick got me thinking in this direction - it was not that single play but probably the entire game where he played adequately but not enough to beat the Colts.
  10. Yes, crush the Pats. heck, beat them by one point. But, win !
  11. Figures - a missed FG !!!
  12. Except the hands should be a bit higher - like around Marty's throat.
  13. Un-inspiring or not planning adequately is uncertain. Don't know what it is but Chargers fans must be pi$$ed. Chargers have played this entire game either confused or unenthused.
  14. Sure looks like it at this point. What is it with Marty and post-season underachieving ?
  15. Is Marty S ever going to shake off that stigma of a post-season disaster coach ?
  16. Welcome on board, sir. As you have been a lurker you must be well aware of the personalities and points of view. Great to add another one.
  17. Dump your girlfriend ?
  18. Assuming the poster is a female, I am sure her SO prefers it on the ankle than on her lower back
  19. Sick person ? Pray, why ? I think it is great. Just put up some pics, will ya. When I got inked for the first time last year, I pondered for several months before deciding to go with an album cover. It turned out great and was totally non-standard.
  20. Well probably sports fans are looking to something different especially after the whitewash in the Ashes, eh ? And this is not directed at you, Nick but for the thread in general - Actually, exposure of sports to the international community is a good thing. I realize that fans here miss a home game etc. but look at it from a long term perspective. In a small measure, we get appreciation for a sport that is considered uniquely American and dismissed as such. There are a lot of people who just love sports, period. Educating them to the sport is great. Last I was in India, they were showing some playoff games live ! I loved it but also found a few others that also enjoyed it even though the broadcast started around midnight. Having said all this, if the Bills are one of the teams in this attempt for international exposure, as a fan, I can only feel quite proud.
  21. Not that I trust PFW, but after Ralph Wilson's statement about getting help on OL as being important, it is not too clear whether DL or OL will be the top priority. I think it will come down to which FAs hit the market (as opposed to being retained by their original team). If it is a Steinbach, OL will become 'top priority' .....
  22. Yeah. You would have expected him to be re-tired. A couple of Michelins perhaps.
  23. Wow - all that great work and you have to apologize ? Thanx a bunch, sir.
  24. You obviously missed this thread started by our fearless leader: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=57878
  25. I always love structure so do like this idea. Ideally, we can break topics by Offense, Defense and ST with players listed under these topics. First Free agents, then draft picks. Can we then archive discussions about individual players once their fate is decided (ie. we win/lose the bidding war) ?
