  1. Which means a few of them will be kicked to the curb prior to opening day. Best thing this collection of cast-offs have is the guy throwing to them.
  2. Strange thing is that Rose has been out for a lot of games this season and the Bulls have done well in them. The bench was supposed to be a strength but something the Sixers were doing totally deflated the confidence and morale of the team in the second half. I do hope the Bulls bounce back and make this competitive but even if they do beat the Sixers (big IF), they will be skewered by the Heat. Peace.
  3. I don't think he was talking about the Avengers.
  4. Well, as a guy rooting for the Bulls, it was a very frustrating 15-20 minutes of basketball. The Sixers seemed to change their attack scheme and defense to which the Bulls had no answer (disclosure - I am not an expert on basketball). Once they went on something like a 12-0 run early in the second half, the Bulls just seemed to give up. Turnovers, missed shooting... The 3rd Q was a total disaster and the 4th was just a long wait to get on the bus. I officially hate you from here on out.
  5. I agree fully about the lack of proven WRs on the squad. Besides Fitz himself, WRs potentially will limit how far we go this year. Having said that, I don't think TO still has 'it'. He may have the desire and work ethic but I think age has caught up with him. Also, I cannot forget some critical drops he had in his last few games for the Bills. Hence, I am not in favor of hiring TO even if for an incentive laden contract. I don't like Edwards' selfish playing style and Gaffney's overall remaining talent (EDIT: Gaffney still produces so maybe he is not all that bad). Of all the choices, best may be Plax and JJ
  6. Not sure about the waking up part, but in general if our D is good enough to stop Brady and his accomplices, we should be fine against the majority of the league's offenses.
  7. Terrific. Can't wait. Don't know which movie I am waiting more for - Prometheus or DKR.
  8. The way Nix talked about getting a QB and a "good one", it leads me to believe that they are going after someone specific. I won't be too surprised if there is a trade (either player-for-player or draft picks). As a side note, I saw this ending to the Gaughan article in the Buffalo News and had to chuckle regarding the so-called media experts grading the Bills draft: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Bills coach Chan Gailey made it clear after Friday's third round picks that he's not losing any sleep over what kind of reviews the Bills receive. "You use that term experts loosely, by the way," Gailey said.
  9. Very, very cool ! Way to go.
  10. In a twisted sort of way, losing Rose this season is not as much of an impact on team chemistry as it would have been were this to be his first injury. Fact is that the Bulls have been playing without Rose quite a bit this entire season. They should have sufficient fire power even without Rose to get past the sixers. Having said that, they don't have enough to get past teams such as the Heat. So I predict yet another disappointing end to a promising season.
  11. I posted this in another thread before seeing yours. Potentially important statement from Buddy. Perhaps he is expecting some backups to be cut post-draft ? Someone who Buddy thinks has potential but hasn't been given the opportunity yet ? I don't see anyone on the list of CURRENT FAs who fit that bill. So I am guessing either the above (expected cuts) or trade for one. He said 'good one' else I would have guessed Colt McCoy.
  12. Yes, and Buddy's words were very interesting. "We're gonna get one in free agency. We're gonna bring in a quarterback, and we think a good one." http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article832358.ece?twobillsdrive Is he looking to fill the backup spot to replace Thigpen or competition for Fitz ? If the OL, LB and WR picks pan out, QB will be our weak link on the road to glory. So, I am wondering if Buddy is looking to start filling that gap sooner rather than later ?
  13. When they are together, Hair-ston is sure to be around
  14. Trade them another ex-1st rounder and call it even. I am talking McK. Serves two purposes - gets us a proven tackle and allows our WRs more room to run.
  15. I thought he fell asleep before the TJ pick. Did someone wake him up ? Jokes aside, this is a phenomenal draft. And follows a good one from last year. Guys, we are on our way to dominating the league for a long time.
  16. Nice ! Another big dude and Nix stays true to his word about getting two tackles. I love this draft. So far, just one 'wtf' pick in TJ http://www.nfl.com/draft/2012/profiles/zebrie-sanders?id=2532943
  17. perhaps he won't be good. I have no way of knowing. But if he indeed has speed and can get open, the fact that Fitz may not be able to get the ball to him should not stop us from selecting him. The above is a shortcoming of Fitz and a team is not built around working around limitations. While I understand that we need to have players that fit together, it is highly likely the Bills may eventually move away from Fitz to a stronger armed and more accurate QB. Or it is also likely that the extra time he will get now with Glenn may help him set better and improve his mid to long range completion percent. While I too am surprised by this pick, I can tell that the FO's intentions were good.
  18. Sure, but Glenn helps fortify the line and if TJ has speed, the time Fitz needs should be lower than with the slower guys we have now. Also, if he streaks down the right sideline, for example, it should roll coverage there and open the slot for Nelson/Chandler. All depends on what kinda routes this kid runs
  19. With so many OL and WR still left on the board, I presume at least a couple will be available when we pick. I will be HIGHLY disappointed if we don't pick one of these positions with #41. Pretty much indifferent between WR and OT but lean more towards OT. For an equivalent grade, Nix may also prefer OT over WR (based on his interview this week "no point having a WR if the QB is on his back").
  20. I too thought it was weird that the guy did not show any emotion. However, please read the first post in this thread where a Gamecock fan says that in 4 years, Gilmore has rarely if ever displayed any emotion including a smile: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/145142-hey-guys-gamecock-fan-here/ There, now I can sleep well. Good night guys, tomorrow evening will be even more fun as I am expecting the FO to start loading up on Offense.
  21. Perhaps I havent watched enough Giants games. But to me he looks too inconsistent to spend anything more than a 4 th at best. Also, does anyone know why the Giants are attempting to get rid of him? Too many options or agreement with my opinion? I am.not asking a smart a$$ question. Truly want to know
  22. Color me unimpressed with him. In the few Giants games I have seen, he has not looked strong or dominant. JPP - now he is a player and a mighty fine one at that. Osi U may not garner much more than a 5th rounder and a 4th would be a steal. But, ofcourse, that is just IMHO. Goes without saying, I believe he will not be an upgrade for the Bills.
  23. I just hope it is not the one the Bills pick.
  24. Urbik and Rinehart both signed their tenders You can add: Extended McGee Did NOT retain Parrish
