  1. Any updates on this ?
  2. How can it be live if the game is to be played on the 9th ? (/smartass mode off) My DirecTV says it will be a live broadcast at 6 pm CST on the 9th on channel 642.
  3. Maybin won't be able to get by Glenn or Hairston (assuming they are LT and RT) who outweigh him by 80 pounds or so. In the eventuality that he utilizes that scary 'quick first step' and does juke them, he will have to contend with either Corey McIntyre or FJax both of who can go low and knock him off his feet given the dude is so slim and top heavy. Either way, he is more likely to be the comic relief than a bonafide play-altering pass rusher.
  4. I did not read through this thread but is there a reason I cannot see emoticons ? I just see the ''lol" but not the graphic
  5. I just checked my online DirecTV guide (in Chicagoland area) and it shows the game starting at 6 pm CST.
  6. I am not sure CR was the best either. It seems like the current Bond's personality is inline with current preferences of leading men. The reason the second trailer got me excited was because they show tantalizing bits interspersed with some promising action sequences. QOS was a weak follow up to CR - choppy plot, poorly shot action and lackluster climax. Also, there has been much press about the Bourne movies being competitors to the Bond series (though I don't agree its an apples to apples comparison) and hence the Bond makers have an extra incentive to show how its done. All the better for us fans.
  7. had to resurrect this thread as I think the latest Skyfall trailer totally ROCKS. The first I thought was rather lackluster but this one brings back memories of the brilliant Casino Royale: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/skyfall/trailers/
  8. I had discontinued DirecTV at the end of last football season and called to find out best way to access the Sunday Ticket. As I kept my equipment and needed no technician to come out, she gave me a $34.99 month-to-month package which includes Choice+Sunday Ticket base package+3 months of HBO in HD. I thought this was a great deal and did not negotiate further.
  9. Give your condescending attitude a rest. You started out your post with "If John Potter completely out performs Rian Lindell, which he has to this point,..." In that very sentence you implied he has 'completely outperformed' Lindell with very little solid information to back up your sentence. This entire post then tees off of that statement and builds up at various points to how Lindell can become expendable. Others have rightly pointed out that making a few kicks in the beginning of training camp, under no pressure of real game situations, with little wind do not even begin to start the argument of replacing Lindell with Potter. Lastly, "mind your business when it comes to my posting " ! Really ? This is an internet message board. It is not your business or mine. Once you post here, you are implicitly asking for a discussion which you have now turned into an argument. You are the one who needs an attitude adjustment.
  10. Actually, I wouldn't mind paying even $5 for a Rush album I have never heard. Not to get too cheap here, but I had some Amazon mp3 credits which expired yesterday
  11. Your first post said "why not give Lindell's roster spot to a guy like Carrington, Troup, D. Edwards, Aiken, Hagan or anybody else that deserves it. Seems smart to me." This implies that Lindell should not make the active roster and the spot should go to Potter. Please now say that I have somehow misinterpreted what you said or somehow focus on the "right now" part and ignore the statement you so clearly made in your opening post without a timeline attached to it. This is the second time in a few days that you have started a bogus argument, got beaten down by the posters here and have had to resort to aggressiveness to fend out valid arguments against your posts. I suggest you take a different tack in your posts else you will be the new whipping boy here and trust me some of us sadists will get great glee in that situation.
  12. Just bought it. I am a fan of old Rush and also of Roll the Bones. Can't believe the price. Gives you the mp3 as well as the digital booklet. Darn. If I had seen your post earlier, I would have saved myself $0.99.
  13. He has ? How do you know ? Also, FG kicking is so much more than just having a big leg. But you already knew that. EDIT: eball beat me to it
  14. I did not say 2010. In 2011, Andy Dalton and Colin Kaepernick were picked right after Aaron Williams
  15. True enough. Between the rumors, whispers, nevergiveup and you, I gather that the Bills had Barron, Kuechly and Gilmore rated high. And in the previous draft, they would have been happy with Newton, Von Miller and Dareus. So, it will be interesting to watch their careers. To a certain extent, the team they land in, their coaching and other players determine success, but in general cream rises to the top. On the flip side, it will also be interesting to watch how the QBs we passed on in the last two drafts fare. I was of the opinion that we should have drafted one in the top 2 rounds in 2011 or 2012. The fact that we passed on a few implies that the FO had not pegged them high at our pick spot. Will be highly interesting to see if those were the right decisions.
  16. Eric Wood - the OL needs him desperately despite any hopes that Brown has shown FJax - Would be great to see him dominate the running game with Spiller
  17. True enough, Chymp BTW, why has this thread been resurrected ? Not that there was some great revelation or prognostication that has now been proven true. Probably just another miserable person looking for his daily dose of depression
  18. Good to hear the TC reports. Next best thing to actually being there. Easley and TJ hold the keys to the offense's success this year so i hope one or both of them emerge as a legitimate #2. And oh yeah, good luck for Wednesday night. Good for you
  19. Except that the result of their last collaboration sucked.
  20. Just messing with you, sir. Considering it is having an opposite effect, maybe you should try taking some allergens instead ?
  21. So now the neighbor has your honey?
  22. TDKR was one hell of a movie. Very very good. At the risk of being called blasphemous, I did not like Inception and thought TDK was a bit too glum and serious to be a superhero movie. While I appreciate the darker movies, we need some fun included also. In the effort to make such movies more than comic-book adaptations, Nolan kinda went too much to the other other side in TDK. However, this movie brings it all back - a perfect blend of action, social commentary, superhero-ism etc. Absolutely loved it. All the actors did a stupendous job also and I liked how he had one fleeting shot of Tom Hardy pre-Bane to show people who the actor is. The last 30 minutes is pure masterful film making.
  23. Their third round pick is also unsigned. Also at the bottom of that article "Fourteen of the 32 first-round draft choices, including top overall pick Andrew Luck, and 12 of the 32 third-round selections remain unsigned.". I thought signing first rounders was supposed to be simplified now. I am so glad the Bills are not faced with this problem (even though I realize that TC hasn't begun yet so it isn't a huge issue for those other teams).
  24. As far as instincts are concerned I think McK is pretty bad. He has gotten by more on his sthletic abilities than the intangibles any good CB needs. I concede he has done more than Maybin but that is not due to instincts. Four years in this league and we are still waiting for him to justify his high draft status
  25. The extra weight will slow him down. Which means he can now blow by a quarterback a tad less fast than before. Much like McKelvin, the dude doesn't have it up there to play football. He should have been at most a third round pick and a project for some team.
