  1. This makes my Saturday a little brighter already. I couldn't give a rats rear about where anybody's pain tolerance is. If they are cleared by the doctors and are willing and able to play, I am happy. Now tomorrow's game looks like it will be a good battle as long as we don't turn the ball over
  2. Excellent putting things in perspective. Despite the disastrous first game, we are middle to above middle in D stats. And this with a reconstituted D and new DC. Better things are ahead
  3. I would rather the press have this discussion rather than 'Pats* get back on track'. It sounds obvious but I won't care less about what the post-Pats* loss discussion centers around. I will be too busy celebrating a three game winning streak.
  4. Browns played good D and could have pulled this off. If only Childress realizes the value of Trent Richardson and doesnt make a rookie throw 50+ times on the road with their best receiver out, the Browns will play better. They are better than their record indicates.
  5. Going off topic but that is nonsense. Nothing can be close to actual combat where your lives really are at risk. The worst in football is attempted injury which gets coaches and players in a whole lot of trouble. Quite different from opposition forces trying to take your head off.
  6. Cleveland had 4 sacks on Flacco KC last weekend had 4 sacks on Brees Both D's got a big fat zero sacks on Fitz
  7. What did he violate ? I totally missed this. I thought his sarcasm was very well done and I would love to have him back if indeed he was banned.
  8. Bad day for Belichick overall - first the $50K fine and now this news. Poor guy can't catch a break.
  9. Wow. Just one word. He has slipped a bit but to outright release him is weird. Perhaps making a roster spot available but even if so, I wouldn't have guessed it would be MVP himself
  10. I have heard this argument several times now that 'even the regular refs get some calls wrong'. But, close the commentators out for a minute and think if you have seen so many questionable calls in the three weeks we have witnessed ? To me, several games I have watched gave me the 'why and what are they flagging' moments. Last night, on the last drive itself there was an earlier phantom holding call that negated a GB INT. These are game deciding calls unlike the ones in the Pack-Giants game last year. DOes not make the officiating in that game correct but justice could be seen as being served as the Giants won. Last night there were several questionable calls, the refs appeared unsure of themselves many time (calling illegal block on #25 of the kicking team and then saying #25 of the receiving team when in fact there was no #25 on the receiving team). I realize you think it was a correct call, but I wholeheartedly disagree. I have written why in another thread but this was not simultaneous possession. Looks like even players are twitting their disagreement over the call:
  11. Also the holding penalty which negated an INT by GB.
  12. I agree with you. I had DVRed the game and watched it three times to be sure. Jennings goes up, gets the ball with full control and starts falling to the ground. Tate does not touch the ball till Jennings is almost down. Jennings' rump hits the turf and he maintains control throughout the process. Tate just happens to place his hands on the ball. After Jennings is down, Tate tries to pry it out from his hands unsuccessfully. Before Tate starts making serious efforts, the official has looked down and signalled a TD. There is no possible way this is simultaneous possession. If Tate also had grabbed the ball on the way down, he would have been justified in being granted the TD. This one was not a TD by any stretch of imagination.
  13. 3rd and 37. Bwaaa haaa. Good start in the second half for the Pack
  14. Whether or not we sign him, I am just happy to see the FO never rests while looking for possible upgrades.
  15. In the last two games, he has played like we want him to - tone down on the gun-slinging style, take the safe play and let the run guide the O. It has helped that we have not played from behind which sometimes necessitates a bigger pass/run ratio. It is imperative that the D plays extra well against teams like the Pats* . So far so good but we need at least one of Fjax/CJ to keep this strategy going well esp against the better teams of the league. Our OL so far has helped a lot and yesterday we looked like a Shanahan coached Broncos O- plug in 'anybody' at RB and get good yards.
  16. The sheer improvement of our run D is a bit overlooked fact. No matter which way we slice it, our overall D is middle of the pack which is great for so many new players/new positions and new DC. We can only get better. Ofcourse, a huge test looms for our pass D this coming weekend especially for the LBers.
  17. Class, or lack-thereof, shows. This is not the first time that BB has proven himself to be a sore loser. Contrast that with Gailey's kneel downs to end today's game.
  18. Hey they called a PI against the Pats* !!! Run it in, protect the ball. Just seal the win. EDIT: I don't agree with the FG try at 0:02
  19. If the Pats* hold on and win, this one is on the refs. That illegal contact penalty was total nonsense. Ravens should have had the ball back.
  20. All class by Gailey.
  21. As a matter of coincidence, Romney is on the road.
  22. This INT was caused by the PREVIOUS play. He saw Dareus bearing down on him and wanted no part of his fat a$$ on himself so threw early
  23. Well used Timeout. Got this right. Excellent call and execution
  24. Guys, this is a critical drive. We have a good one going, better to be conservative than too aggressive and risk a TO. A TD could seal it
  25. Good pressure by our offseason DE acquisitions on that critical down
