  1. He is probably busy bashing Marrone and Luck.
  2. For sure I don't think he treads water. So if I have to point out the flaws, I would choose some occasional clock management, too many penalties and sticking with Hackett in the offseason. But that is not worth getting rid of him. For incompetence, see Mike Smith. For the life of me I can't understand how he continues to be a HC. Every season, I watch the occasional Falcons game and am sure that buffoon will be let go in the offseason and every offseason I have been proven wrong.
  3. I stay within the $40-$75 range and there I prefer The Balvenie and Macallan. My friends like Laphroaig for its peatiness. Depends on your tastes. I will have a couple tomorrow, hope you do too.
  4. In the long run, we are all dead. Doesn't mean I cannot enjoy a nice single malt today.
  5. Agreed on all counts. I have no reason to dislike Pettine and no reason to like (W)hitner
  6. IMHO, Hackett is as good as gone. There is already rumours that Marrone is calling plays. I have said it before that having rookies at HC, OC,and QB all in one year was a critical mistake. An experienced OC would have made a world of difference. But, Marrone has kept the team together. He has not been perfect but he has been more right than wrong and I would like to see him coach with a better OC and QB. IMHO, Hackett is as good as gone. 7. Exactly which part of my post are you disagreeing with me ? So you are crediting the defense for the 6 wins but blaming Marrone for the 5 losses ? Is that the gist of what you are saying ?
  8. In this game: - Penalties were down - Team was not distracted by events of past week - Has less practice time - Came out and whipped the rear of a division foe Can the pitchforks be kept away for a bit ?
  9. Worst case for me is Pats* vs Cowboys cos no matter who I root against, I will come out feeling dirty.
  10. No, no and no. I feel no need to explain it to you when you haven't bothered why you would not want one of the best young LBers on your team.
  11. Orton still unbeaten at Ford Field
  12. 3 and out. Man, the Bills suck
  13. Cant see how Ryan keeps his job after this season.
  14. Talk about leaving your receiver out to dry!
  15. I would bench Cutler.
  16. The Bears look really terrible. It's not just Cutler. Trestman has lost the team.
  17. Perhaps you missed the part where he said this is a 'lies and exaggerations' thread.
  18. "Oh whoa is me... Might as well cancel my account this board is doomed without that douches contributions" In this thread
  19. I know we have differed on the Cutler issue in the past and will offer this counter-argument to your point. Mini-steps may be good in the short term but I am not sure Cutler will get us a materially different outcome on the season. Namely, not sure he can get us to the playoffs. Highly likely that we end up with 7-8 wins this season and in a division dominated by the Pats*, we will need 2-3 more wins to be assured of a playoff spot. Cutler has continually underperformed and been unable to lift his team over its other inadequacies. He will raise hopes in the short term only to end up with bitter disappointment by the end of the season. I want a more permanent solution to the QB void.
  20. You have to expect missteps with rookie coaches. The biggest mistake was to get a rookie OC to go with a rookie HC. See how an experienced Schwartz is leading one of the best defenses. If, last year, Marrone was paired with a similarly experienced OC, the results would have been a lot different. So, my point is that Marrone has made mistakes but the lack of QB and poor OC has compounded the problem. If we had both, Marrone's in-game mistakes would have been more than covered up.
  21. An arm with which he has decapitated many a coaches job and reputation. Cutler is the epitome of coach-killer.
