  1. Just curious, what's the source on the attendance numbers? It will help when all the Browns fans here claim it's not true.
  2. Her first mistake was asking for his name and his cruiser #. I know a common pleas judge who handles these things and he always says NEVER to do that. All it does is piss off the cop.
  3. I love seeing people like that get whats coming to them.
  4. I love the throwbacks and I wish the Bills would always use them but I think the NFL has more say on unis then Ralph does. Notice how all the new unis look the same now?
  5. I am a ref for middle school and high school basketball along with some youth (3-6 grade) leagues. I am in college and have been doing this since 7th grade starting with 3rd graders, and in that time I have had countless experiences with crazy parents. I've been pushed and one of my crew mates has been spit at by parents when a game was in progress...both at 5th grade games. It's sad really.
  6. When I was buying ESPN Baseball 2K5 the guy there said that ESPN has the EXCLUSIVE deal with the NFL after this year. That is why the price for the games are so low, 19.99, they are going to get everyone hooked and when they are the only ones in town jack the price up.
  7. Tedy Bruschi plays with a lot of heart and is a great guy off the field. I have no problems with him. Winslow Jr. is my most hated player. Living here in Columbus I get a lot of Browns coverage and this guy is just stupid. They keep playing the clip of him speeding through the parking lot at 35 mph on a bike he had a learner's permit for. He has played two games and he still talks like he is the greatest player ever to wear a NFL uni.
  8. There's a site that if you send them an Ashlee Simpson CD they would send you back a jazz or classical CD. They said, "There is great music out there, it's too bad kids are listening to this crap (Ashlee Simpson)." I forget the URL, but it was pretty funny.
  9. For you jazz guys: Charles Mingus Gerry Mulligan Wynton Marsalis Fats Domino Harry Carney Billy Strayhorn Just to name a few...
  10. 420 is pretty common in high schools and colleges across America. I'll tell you this...think grass.
  11. We need to get Nuge!!! He is clutch and has a long leg. One of his three 40+ plus misses at the combine hit the upright and one missed by an inch. Also, agianst Marshall he hit a 55-56 yarder with no time to win.
  12. Didn't Tiki Barber wear one because he would always look at were he was going to run?
  13. Look out for the Bucks this year. With the new AD in town all this NCAA investigation stuff will slowly fade out and we can get back to football. Troy Smith will bounce back and Ted Ginn Jr will amaze all! Combine that with the support here in Columbus, I think the Bucks have a real chance at the title this year. Plus, could you imagine a USC-OSU Rose Bowl for a national championship?
  14. First off, I would like to say that there isn't a kicker anywhere that gets the crowd response that NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE gets here in Columbus. As for his combine performance, he might have been 12/15 but it didn't say anything about his kickoffs. In the Alamo Bowl there was an offside penalty on OSU and the ball was moved back to the NFL mark. He still put the ball 5 yards deep for a touchback. Nugent is also one of the most clutch kickers you will ever meet. I doubt you guys saw the OSU-Marshall game this year, but that 52 yard kick for the win was amazing. Nugent is a great kicker and is worth a pick.
  15. As someone who lives in Columbus and is a die-hard Bucks/Bills fan I can tell you, we should not draft this guy. I'm sure I am a bit biased but this guy is not worth a pick. He is a locker room poison, even worse than Flutie.
  16. There was something in the news around here about a student applying for an "African-American" scholarship. He was born in Africa and moved here, hence African-American. The only problem was that he was white, and whoever chooses the winner said that he was ineligible. It's when stuff like this happens that you realize how stupid the labels are that we give everyone.
  17. I'm one of the few people that hated it. I thought the acting was awful, there were a lot of plot holes, and very little chraceter development. It was good at making you cringe, but once you look past that I didnt see much there.
  18. Here in Columbus, Ohio State hockey is pretty big. They average around 10,000 a game so they get pretty healthy crowds. It's not BU, BC, or U of Minn. but it's still good. I go to most of the games and they are great. The team is currently on a tear and is close to catching the damn team from up north (Michigan). When OSU plays Michigan watch out, the arena gets pretty intense. True, the level of play is not at the NHL level. But there is something else about college hockey that makes it special. I can't wait for the Frozen Four this year in Columbus!!!!!
  19. Yes, Garcia often got himself into trouble because of what he said to the media. It was always someone else’s fault. If he threw three interceptions it was because his receivers sucked and the OC didn’t know how to call the plays. If he fumbled it was because the O-Line didn’t know how to block. He never took any responsibility. Fans in Cleveland hated him for it.
  20. Thanks pastajoe. I've tried to follow them, but when a team isnt close to where you live it's hard. I know that Svitov is having a good year, he should be great when he's developed. I think he might have even had an assist last night at the all star game.
  21. Does anyone on this board live in Syracuse and go to or have gone to any Syracuse Crunch games this year? They're the Blue Jackets farm team I was just wondering how they looked.
  22. Columbus has the old Buffalo team. Last year was their first year here and I went to a couple. I couldnt name you more than three guys on the team, but it's still fun to watch live. Plus, without the Blue Jackets the games usually get close to selling out.
  23. Todd Marchant was quoted as comparing a salary cap to slavery saying, "You might as well put me in shackles." That it what is wrong with the NHL. Marchant, who makes 2.9 million a year, had a -17 rating last year. -17!!!
