  1. Had the $5/month after my original free subscription ran out. Went to renegotiate and they gave me nothing. Right before summer of last year. Wanted to be able to stream while outside so I ended up getting a decent deal, but not great. Believe it was somewhere in the $16/month range for service. Also ended up paying an additional $8/month for streaming on any device. I called at some point to discuss my bill and found out that streaming was now included. Yet, they were charging me the additional $8/month for streaming. Was charged like this for 3 months. Talked to a supervisor who refunded me the $24 for streaming and gave me a full year for $99.bucks for XM Select, best I could do. better than paying full price.
  2. Jim Kelly signed for 5 years 8 million. Made him the highest paid NFL player at the time. Amazing we feel 6 million isn’t a lot anymore.
  3. Won’t play unless McD feels he can get the job done. 6 Million isn’t a contract that makes you play someone. If it doesn’t work out, cut him. Played his best under this defense. Should prove to be an asset whether he starts or not.
  4. Posted there, same name. BBMB had its moments. Problem was you had to sift through a lot of crud to get to the good stuff. This site is better in many ways - no 16 different threads for the same topic, more insightful discussion, a lot less hot garbage.
  5. What if Shanny called the timeouts before half and at least got a FG? Could been a different game. I don’t see the Niners in A “win now” situation. Good team, young QB. Just can’t see them being “all in” on brady.
  6. I don’t doubt scheme has a lot to do with how a player preforms, look at Jerry Hughes. I don’t entirely blame wrong scheme on Clowney, feel he has not given it his all consistently. Would it be better to re-sign Shaq than go after Clowney? Younger guy, with much upside? Seems they have had similar young careers.
  7. I don’t doubt he’s good. I feel he could have been better since he came in the league.
  8. Don’t want to pay the big, big money for inconsistency.
  9. I felt the same way. Hate guys like him. Feel they turn the jets on in contract years just to score the big payday. Not comfortable he’d do what is needed to be consistently great.
  10. Would make sense. They were on the verge with Tannehill, Brady couldn’t do worse.
  11. Depends on what Garrett’s offense is. Most offenses are similar, terminology differs. Don’t know he’d want to go somewhere with a brand new HC, regardless if he knows him or not.
  12. Whatever team gets him will get a shell of what he was. Will need to learn a new offense, and learn his new receiving teammates. At the money he’s going to command, especially if it’s a bidding war, not worth it. Not worried if we see him next year, especially with a new team and especially if it’s later in the year when he’s been beaten up good.
  13. Van Halen with DLR was an “in your face” rock band. Guitar heavy, screaming vocals. Van Halen with Sammy was more about musicianship and content. Prefer them with Sammy. Saw Sammy at Fallsview a few years back with his band “The Circle”. Amazing show! Can’t wait to see him in July at Seneca Niagara.
  14. Sorry for your losses. Yes, those who pass on do wait for family to leave, I’ve seen it many times. It may seem unfair, but it’s not. The person wants what is best for the grieving family.
  15. I have been with many patients as they drew their last breaths. Tried hard to make sure they were as comfortable as I could help them be. There are many I will never forget. Being ill and in the hospital tends to bring patient and caregiver closer. You try not to because of the weight it bears, but you can’t help it. Some of them are the course that is expected, others sudden. The sudden ones are not always the worst. It’s the ones you get to know the patient and their families. The ones you get to know on a personal level. That being said, it is different when it’s a family member. My mother passed a few years back. Tried to be stoic and treat it as I would any other patient. Make sure she was comfortable - suctioned drainage, cleaned her mouth, etc. I’ll say it’s interesting how fast you forget what you’ve learned and have trouble processing and handling it when its a family member.
  16. I was surprised to see the cost to repair being $200. Did some checking, and it is that much, maybe more. You can try and repair yourself with the $30 option and if it doesn’t work, no real loss. I have AT&T cell phone insurance coverage that extends to all my electronics. Check to see that you don’t have similar coverage. Worst case is you buy a new iPad. $329 for a brand new 10.2 inch with 32 GB, $429 for 128 GB. How old was it?
  17. World league lasted because of its NFL affiliation and being a feeder league. Football is king in this country, don’t believe fans will support a rival league long term unless the XFL signs college or NFL stars. Yes, yesterday was promising, and today should only continue because if that hype. The XFL is funded for at least 3 years. Is the ultimate goal to become the NFL farm system? Don’t believe the NFL has any interest in that.
  18. Believe they are on a 3 year deal. May be wrong. From what I read, they are funded for 3 years. Their costs should contain no big surprises from now until then - player/coach cost and stadium costs should be somewhat set. They just can’t depend on TV, ticket or merchandise revenue.
  19. One would think so. The NFL basically covers their player salaries with TV revenue every year. There is TV revenue and sponsorships. Have to have a fan base to score the sponsors. Ultimately, will fans support year round football? I’ll be honest, love the NFL but don’t mind the off-season. Can get things done on the weekends...
  20. The original question was, will it be around I’m 6 months? I believe yes. 2 years from now? I doubt it. McMahon will do what it takes to play minimum of 2 years. Would want to outdo the AAF. I believe there is more of an appetite for football now, than when XFL-1 was around. Should have a better TV audience than back then. Interesting thing is they don’t get a dime from ESPN or Fox for TV rights so they best have a plan as ticket revenue isn’t going to keep them afloat. edit: Apparently the league is funded for 3 years. Doesn’t mean they won’t pull the plug early.
  21. Good coach. Surprised he’s been out of the NFL so long.
  22. 72 years old. Last coached Birmingham Iron in the AAF. Last coached NFL in 2008 - defensive coordinator Chargers
  23. PJ Walker is the dude the Steelers wanted to sign in October to play Lamar Jackson in practice. XFL blocked it because he was on their roster.
