Bills vs. Jaguars 2nd Half Thread
mike22nc replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What made the block by Woods illegal there? -
Why keep feeding him FireChan? This is not a constructive argument. He has a viewpoint and is uninterested in having a discussion about it. He's in multiple threads calling people zealots when he is the delusional one. Put him on your block list and be done with it.

Is he not allowed to use those? I'm pretty sure he is, but even just going by his passing #s, he's been very good. Currently among all QBs he's 7th in passer rating, 8th in comp%, 12th in y/a and 8th in TD. Was anyone expecting better? I believe people were hoping Taylor would be a poor man's Russell Wilson. 5 games into 2015, if he hasn't been significantly better than Wilson, he sure hasn't been worse. Wilson has taken 22 sacks to Taylor's 14. Wilson has lost 2 fumbles, Taylor none. Yards and comp% Wilson has a slight edge, while Taylor has a small edge in y/a. Wilson has 11 more yards rushing, while Taylor has 2 rushing TDs to Wilson's zero. Taylor's TD/INT ratio of 9/4 is also better than Wilson's 6/3. Are we really complaining that we got a starting QB in free agency that has been comparable to the NFC's Super Bowl QB two years running? I don't want to attack anyone personally, but there has to be some sort of psychosis brought on by the Bills last decade and a half of futility that has caused some of it's fans to have absolutely no rational thought.

The Titans also called 2 timeouts in the 3rd quarter. Just terrible.

That conversion should not count. Didn't have control in the end zone. -
7 Random Thoughts: Week 2 state of the union
mike22nc replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"7- I hope so, they have alot to clean up in a hurry, the schedule gets tougher" The schedule gets tougher than the top 2 teams in the AFC last year? -
No such thing as face guarding in the NFL.

Hoyer vs Manziel Fist fight ?
mike22nc replied to Buffaloed in Pa's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What statistics are you referencing? Orton has a 14:7 TD:INT ratio with a 64.7% completion rate. Hoyer is at 11:12 and .554. There are more advanced stats than those, but you can stop there with these 2 guys. Orton is not good, Hoyer is worse. -
I liked the way EJ played today, but TDs were there to be had if he had thrown the ball more accurately. That was the main issue today.

Sammy gets double-teamed. Now, what?
mike22nc replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The thing that has me most excited about Sammy is what he is going to do to take the pressure off CJ. I'm of the opinion that Spiller was the main focus of opposing defenses last year, and they dared EJ to beat them. To add another dynamic player with the RAC ability of Watkins is going to be a nightmare. -
Go on record. Who do you want?
mike22nc replied to The Voice of Truth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Use a 1st and two 2nds to get to 4th, 5th or 6th to get Watkins or Evans. Failing that, take Matthews if available. If neither of those happens, trade down and take the best available receiving threat (Ebron/Beckham/Lee/etc...) or O-Lineman. -
Chad Kelly dismissed from Clemson
mike22nc replied to NDBUFFCUSEFAN's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He should transfer to UB. I doubt he would be humbled by this, but there's a possibility and he's got the talent to make it worth a shot. Plus, back in Buffalo he'll be given the benefit of the doubt for being his uncle's nephew. -
We need to pick a tackle in the 1st or 2nd
mike22nc replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's the good thing, it seems very likely that the best player available will be a WR or OT at #9 overall. I'd be happy with Matthews or Evans there. -

The points about San Diego's roster not being so great may be true, but the San Diego job is in...San Diego... -
Description of the current Bills Offense
mike22nc replied to Trader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Quarterback deficient -
I think I missed the part where it says they were forced to play in the league. Did they not know that injuries were possible playing football? Did they not know how much money they were going to make? Why would a business choose to give them more money than they are entitled to under their contracts that were agreed upon? It's sour grapes and the ex-players are jealous that they played a couple decades too early.

Fred is not a free agent... -
Right JR, just like the NHL is just a bunch of small unathletic Canadians whacking a puck around. Seems like you have a very evolved understanding of basketball...

While it doesn't look like it is going to happen, here is the rationale: Billups is in the last year of his deal, and he's lost his quickness and athleticism. He can still shoot, but he's a defensive liability and can no longer penetrate. Paul is the best pure PG in the NBA, and is a huge upgrade defensively. His skill at getting the ball in the scorer's hands would be huge for the Knicks. A'mare is a much better offensive player than Chandler, without question. But what the Knicks have been lacking is a defensive force in the middle. Chandler has the combination of rebounding/defense that could really help, and is a big upgrade over A'mare in those facets of the game. I think it would be largely beneficial to make those moves. The best way to build a team in the current NBA IMO is with a great distributor(Paul), wing scorer(Melo) and a dominant defensive presence inside(Chandler). It's part of the reason the Heat had such problems last year, even with having arguably the 2 best players in the NBA. Wade and LeBron's skills are largely redundant. They both need to have the ball in their hands. They got by on pure talent, but a better constructed team will beat them.

Any team with a QB as good as or worse than Fitz should be looking to upgrade the position.

So to be a Bills fan you have to have the expectation of a win every week?
