  1. The Bills are 244 YPG better than Baltimore defensively through 3 games. The Bills are 61 YPG better than Baltimore offensively through 3 games. The Bills point differential is 31 points better than Baltimore through 3 games. The Bills have played against better opponents than Baltimore. If it weren’t for the injuries, the spread would be BUF -7.
  2. Just to be clear, your expectation is that the Bills would be successful on less than 50% of 2-pt conversion attempts?
  3. It’s not about chasing points, it’s about maximizing expected points. The more times you score, the more we would expect this to positively effect the outcome as long as we are more likely to be successful than not.
  4. I don’t know what the stats have been, but with them not being great in short yardage they still have been very good once they get within the 5.
  5. From a strategy and game theory perspective, would anyone disagree that this version of the Buffalo Bills should be going for 2 every time they score a touchdown (other than obvious game situations that would call for the extra point)? With the versatility of Allen and all the weapons at his disposal, I wouldn’t be surprised if our long-term 2-pt success rate was higher than 60%. I’ve been happier recently with McDermott’s inclination to be more aggressive with going for it on 4th down, but I still think there are more opportunities to take advantage of the obvious strengths that this team has. The only possible argument I could accept against this proposal is that it is one more play that could lead to injury, especially if we’re often using Josh as a runner around the goal line. However, I do think it’s an interesting question. The only team I can recall going this route is the Steelers with Big Ben for a while there.
  6. We should call timeouts after they run here to get the ball back in the 1st quarter. The wind is that big of a factor.
  7. Strange thing to say about the team with the league's best scoring differential. I truly do not know why I come here on game day.
  8. Why are they trying to scheme someone open on every play instead of letting your $40 mil QB make plays? Any quarterback can do what Josh is being asked to do today.
  9. Look at the Bills defensive numbers in games Milano has played vs games Milano has missed the past 3 years. We are somewhere around 60 yards better per game with Milano in the lineup. I hope the injuries this year depress his value closer to 9 mil per year than 15, as we are a much better team if he’s still on it.
  10. Have you guys that are blaming White actually watched what happened? He was in perfect position, jumped at the right time and Poyer came in late and hit White out of the way. I’m not blaming Poyer, as a defender you need to be aggressive in that situation. But the way it happened, Hopkins would not have caught the ball if White was not knocked sideways by Poyer.
  11. It’s winning time - Allen needs to take what they give him. He can get 10 yards every time he wants to run.
  12. It may be as simple as this. 2018-2020 Bills defense with Milano: 192.75 pass yards per game 103.31 rush yards per game 2018-2020 Bills defense without Milano: 207.14 pass yards per game 152.71 rush yards per game
  13. More good news beyond the 2-0 start for the Bills. If I’ve added correctly, the AFC is 13-17 (14-18 after Monday night)as a whole through 2 weeks.
  14. We are as long as it works out. Likely won't have an update until late summer.
  15. We're in Cambria, which I believe to be notorious for their strict zoning laws. Not saying development cannot happen, but I haven't seen much of it our way.
  16. My assumption is, if he cannot find a buyer among the people with access, he will just sell it along with his home. He said he'd give us the first option at the land, but who knows if that happens when we get down to it. His home will be listed for a significant amount, and a significant amount more than the acreage is worth. IMO, a farmer will not be buying his home, so the person who purchases it would likely only want the land for a reason similar to ours. So I guess the real question is how much more would a person looking to spend ~$400k on his home spend to have the 14 acres. To me, the answer is that the purchaser will have more resources to spend on the land than we do, so I would love to get it prior to him putting his house on the market.
  17. Correct, no access by road. The land is bordered by our yard and our neighbors yard on the south side, another larger farm on the east side, my other neighbors land on the west side and wooded land on the north side. It is zoned residential/agricultural. I do not believe that it is possible to develop. It is currently used for farming, it was leased out to a farmer who planted soy beans this past summer. There are no trees on the land, it is all tilled soil. I have been in the field, but I do not know enough to answer the questions about grade/slope/drainage/soil. As far as what the owner paid, I am unsure. They have owned the land since the 70s. The tax assessment appears to show a value of around $28,000, but I doubt that has much validity either way. My main issue is that the unique situation where the land is pretty much inaccessible to anyone other than the 5 abutting properties is what makes looking for comps very difficult. If you are in wine country we may not be very far from you! Thanks for your response, definitely gives me some info to think about.
  18. We'd be purchasing to enjoy the land ourselves. No exact plan yet, but we'd extend our backyard another .5 acres or so, plant some fruit and/or nut trees and likely lease out the rest to a local farmer to cover some of the taxes. The purchase would MOSTLY be to, as you say, ensure our own privacy and enjoyment.
  19. Hello everyone, I have been a member of these forums since the early 2000s and have always enjoyed the content without participating much at all. I believe this is the first time I've ever posted in OTW. With that, I am looking for advice from some fellow Bills fans on a farm land purchase I am looking to make. My wife and I moved to Niagara County a little over a year ago. The home we purchased is on 1.2 acres with 14 acres of farm land directly behind us and the neighbors, which is owned by those neighbors. They are moving soon and we've made them aware that we are interested in purchasing the land. Here is the question - How would you go about valuing land that does not have access or frontage? I have tried to do as much research as I can, but I have been unable to find comps to this specific situation. Lots specifically for building homes are plentiful, but would not be comparable. I really don't know if the value should be 2k per acre or 10k per acre. Anyone have experience or knowledge in this area? Thanks for the years of entertainment in here!
  20. So the Giants move down to 5 from 2 for pick 53, then move up one spot for that same pick?
  21. Not that it much matters, but how is there no flag there?
  22. Who exactly was he throwing to? That was intentional grounding. Not that it’s reviewable.
