The Georgia Runoff--So Big!
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I feel like you’re sliding the diamond around the old Oujia board and summoning me. What is it you would like to ask me? And for what it’s worth, I don’t mosy, I saunter. -
This is a good post on some levels, it's probably where most of us in the middle agree. Personally, when taken as a whole, I view law enforcement as a whole of being guilty of systemic heroism at their best, consistently decent citizenship on the whole. I base that primarily on the numbers--millions of fellow citizens doing the job, tens of millions of interactions each year, and stories like the officers clearing the area around the Nashville bomb at great risk to themselves. On the body camera issue, a client of mine is a police office who was talking to me about this a couple years ago. His thought echoed what many police officers thought then--that body cameras would vindicate officers far more frequently than not, and for those that were not vindicated--that was a good thing. His response was pretty much on point--the body camera footage was not going to reveal what the liberal left was hoping it would on a wide spread basis. I haven't talked with him in a while, but I'm wondering what he feels now that the rules of engagement are being changed as we speak. The Jakob Blake case comes to mind where, from the perspective of the police officer--the best course of action was actually not to respond at all. As for Portland, I don't know, I guess whether or not the protests were mostly peaceful sorta depends on whether or not you were directly impacted by the lawlessness. What we can agree on is that more training would not hurt, a clarification of the rules of engagement would make sense so that well-intentioned people would know whether or not the occupation was worth pursuing, and off-loading domestic violence calls to counselors will certain reduce the potential for officer-involved shootings. On this note: https://dailygazette.com/2020/11/17/former-schenectady-county-jail-guard-arrested-for-attack-that-left-detainee-hospitalized/ I knew this young man and his family on a casual basis up until he was 20 or 21. His family remains friendly with friends of mine. Nice enough kid, comes from a good family (near as I can tell), and yet he apparently assaulted a prisoner in custody. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want this type of job for a number of reasons, but it does make me wonder how the heck he got so far off the rails as to end up in this predicament. Would all the training in the world prevent this? I don't think so.

It's so funny--I was just wondering what you thought about the music. I like it, "Street Survivors" was the first album I ever bought, just after the plane crash. For what its worth--- I think Tuesdays BLOW in general, though I think Tuesday's Gone is a beautiful yet melancholy song about love and loss. It's complicated for me, this whole Tuesday thing.

We're polluting the ethersphere with mindless back and forth. I understand you. Really. I even appreciate your desire to save my soul, but I shall pass. In an effort to drop down the traffic, I'll stop replying unless you have something other than 'brainwashed', 'idiot' or the like. My best to you, friend.

You're preaching to the wrong crowd NB. I didn't support the riots and anarchy all summer, and don't support what's going on at the Capitol now. Still, it seems odd to me that you didn't feel we were teetering on the brink over the summer when people were killed, businesses and personal property destroyed and lives ruined. I know, you've said it 14 times in a row, sorta like a brainwashed person. I've considered your opinion, rejected it as the ramblings of a hostile actor, and moved on.

I'm sitting in my office outside of Albany in tan pants and a Brooks Brothers no-iron shirt, contributing to the local economy, supporting local causes and treating people with respect in every transaction. I did the same with you, and the fact that you see me as an extremist of any sort again simply reinforces just how soft you are as a human being. I'll move on, but understand the sympathy I feel for you is real. I can only assume someone really messed with your head (or heart) at some stage of your life.

Cuomo Going to Playoff Game

That was your point? That the governor would be in a luxury box during a pandemic, not out with the few members of the peasant class? Uh, ok. Cool. -

Cuomo Going to Playoff Game

So, he obtained a free ticket, planned on attending the game like Emperor Caligula himself when true fans (the little people, I think he would call them) of the team were prohibited from attending, and has decided to give the freebie away to someone working in and around high risk COVID patients from a known hot spot? On the bright side, he won't have to drive by all the less fortunate fans protesting. Buffalo folks can be pretty creative, it would have been fun to see the stretch driving by a Cuo-man with creatively placed genitalia. -
You know an internet tough guy is broken when he uses the old "LOOK I CHANGED THE TEXT!" play. I'm unsure how you arrived here, but listen up: You don't have to be weak--you don't have to lie about who you voted for, you don't have to lose your marbles and send threatening texts, and you don't have to pretend ya 'got me' with that silly stuff. Man up, speak boldly and have the strength of your principles. You'll be happier in the long run.

Too late, prayers were already up on your behalf. You missed it by about 5 minutes-but thank you for thinking of me. As for the rest, I think you're projecting your guilt as a Trump supporter onto me. Or, again, you're lying. Let's just move on. I do sincerely appreciate your willingness to listen and clean up your language. We can't spell unity without u.

Hey girl hey! I reject the premise of your question but as to how I'm doing I'm happy to share. I'm disappointed in the results, but I've been preparing for this eventuality for many years. It really was no more difficult than watching the way the wind blows, and attempting to figure out the price point when otherwise decent citizens would accept a buyout. Imo Biden Inc found that sweet spot in the last election. So, like yesterday, I got up, went to work and life goes on. Have a blessed day.

Look--you don't have to puff put your chest, storm around and lie about things. Just stick to the facts. I never said I cannot understand English, it's my native language friend! Now, my support for Trump is not in dispute, so you repeating it over and over just makes you seem unimaginative, repetitive and boring. We can fix that. I've asked for you to stand up like a man and provide the data detailing your allegations. You have not. That says something about you. On the other hand, you could simply reply honestly that you're unable to provide the data because it's an outright fabrication. Remember, there is no shame in doing the right thing. So, to recap: Stick to the facts. There is no shame in doing the right thing. I don't know you, so I'm holding out hope we can meet in the middle here and you'll be honorable. Your track record seems to indicate you'll hunker down, so I have to prepare two responses: A. Nice! You did the right thing, and for that you've earned a certain measure of respect. Kudos sir! B. So, nothing, right?

My goodness, I'm not the grammar police but what you typed is a step above gibberish. I'm guessing you've assumed the role of concubine and decided to carry Tibsy's water for him, and that's fine. Send over the conviction details as they relate to Mr. Mueller and Mr. Trump for Rooskie Collusion, for Mr. Mueller and Mr. Trump for obstruction for the non-existent (and according to Tibsy legal/illegal/legal) collusion, and any other of Mr. Mueller's charges/convictions/indictments of Mr. Trump. I can wait if you need some time, but in keeping with my goal in 2021 to be efficient, I'm including my response to your anticipated reply: So, nothing, right?
