  1. What is the context to this question? Is there a Christian Nationalist party? I googled it and find lots of references to the dangers of the concept, but what specifically are you talking about?
  2. As with all of these stories, it’s best to take a wait and see approach to what happened and why. The guy could a be a serial killer, an innocent victim of hostile law enforcement action, or anywhere in between. For whatever it’s worth, imo, this man exposing his young child to the sort of hate and vitriol seen regularly at that clinic is moronic and foolish. If you follow the posts of the other poster, though, you’ll see defense of a swat style raid based on reports of a scuffle that occurs fairly often in the country today. Where else would you see a couple dozen agents swarm a house over a one guy pushing another? After a Walmart encounter? Back when that old guy attempted to assault the police officer in Buffalo, during the COVID lock down, was pushed away, fell and knocked his head, did the feds swarm the officer(s) home? In a post over the last couple days, Tibs indicated broad, unquestioned support for a massive governmental organization that has alleged criminal activity against the former president to, in essence, break him with civil action where criminal did not exist. All it really takes to see people in their true light is to have their agenda enforced by like-minded people in positions of ultimate power. You’re seeing it here.
  3. RDB, that’s sort of my point. To people like Tibs, these things are what make him great. It’s their perspective he was right on all those issues.
  4. Looks like the Frontline episode about political intrigue is potentially do devastating to the world order that it had to be deep-sixed. Just as well, it’s hard enough for me to listen to PBS political speak on the radio. I’ll offer the following based on your recap: R establishment leadership wanted noticing to do with Trump until he won, rode the wave with/re to power brokering and fund raising while he was in office, and moved on when he was out. If Frontline (what an inspired and creative name) felt R establishment leadership ever “liked” Trump, they haven’t paid attention. As for the deep dark secret that Trump is an authoritarian and Rs are deeply concerned about a fractured party, it sounds like Frontline is trying to gin up some phony controversy to appeal to its base. Trump was elected in a populist movement because enough people were tired of the same old R leadership. “Oh, gee, look. HW was president. That must make his son presidential. When he’s done, maybe W has a brother?”. In fact, maybe some day the grandchildren of the Clinton’s can marry kin of a Bush? What you describe as flip flopping is simply politicians politicking. I’d wouldn’t call it Fake News. Russian collusion was Fake News. Speculating about rifts in the family and what might be happening behind closed doors It seems more akin to a story in People magazine about the private pain and family drama of one of the Real Housewives of Bev Hills.
  5. Look at Biden’s resume with respect to legislation targeting people of color, his strategic alliances with segregationists in Congress, and racially insensitive comments. He supported massive gatherings during the COVID lockdowns, which in turn contributed to the spread of the virus during the critical time when the prior admin was racing to find a cure, and in many cases, people would return with the virus to at-risk communities. Consider the misinformation he shared and concerns his administration spread about trusting the vaccine during a critical time in our country, and consider that he did not reign in other members of his admin when they did the same. Finally, consider the confusion created when, shortly into his presidency, he basically threw his hands up on federal handling of COVID. So, you’ve got a president with a long history of targeting at-risk communities, encouraging behavior that contributes to the spread, and the fact that he allowed confusion on vaccinations to a group well-known to be suspicious of vaccines. Then ask yourself why a Tibs or BillSy might find him to be a great man.
  6. What about Eliot Spitzer? It’s hard figuring out who did what and where the lines get drawn on who is/isn’t above the law. Maybe I’m thinking of Cuomo, though not the sexual assault thing…not the ethics thing with the book… the fraudulent COVID death count. Of course, Spitzer and Cuomo had nothing to do with NY when they had their troubles… Wait a minute. That doesn’t sound right…
  7. I didn’t say “Oh look what Hillary did.”. I said it was irrelevant. She was knuckles deep in election disinformation throughout the election process and through the Trump presidency. In fact, after mourning in seclusion for a few months, she started into the same cycle all over again. She’s doing it now. Dems in leadership positions stated emphatically that the election that put Trump in office was illegitimate. Some raised concern over the safety, security and integrity of our election process. If you prefer to think “Trump started it”, fine, have at it. It doesn’t change what was said, what happened, and how the Dems acted during the Trump presidency. You were correct, and I applaud your candor.
  8. @aristocrat This is as close to an acknowledgement that 'stop the steal' is simply a continuation of the dem 'illegitimate election' strategy, as you'll find from the left. It's sad, but this is the state of American politics today.
  9. I find American people, such as, on video, unable to myself look away, as such. I am grateful that some of the really dumb moment so my life are not on video, and Lord knows I've had them. This young lady seemed to lose her train of thought and decided to shepherd through. Some people can recover, she clearly didn't. I sorta feel bad even sharing it, but damn, here I am. Again.
  10. IMO, we go down a rabbit hole of foolishness when allowing another poster to determine the narrative. Hillary Clinton's concession, real or imagined, is irrelevant. It does not invalidate 5 years of foolishness, allegations of an illegitimate (another word for 'stolen') elections and/or treason. It does not change the fact that, as Americans were arguing about whether or not hookers urinated on Trump in Russia, or whether or not government resources were used to surveil Trump during the election...Obama, Biden et al knew full well that the Clinton campaign and DNC were up to their eyeballs in election malfeasance designed to spread disinformation about Trump. They were briefed on that very early in the manufactured crisis. They chose not to share that with the American people because it was politically beneficial to keep it quiet. The truth was irrelevant. The 10 minute video you shared reveals democrat leaders trashing the legitimacy of our election process. It's the tip of the iceberg in that regard, but it's not a coincidence that Billsy completely ignores the video, preferring instead to redirect to theories about Trump's actions that took place several years after the dems attacked election integrity.
  11. ☝️ The original Stop the Steal as executed by democrats can be seen in the video previously shared by @aristocrat . Be that as it may, some people will play the fool and pretend it never happened. It’s an effective political strategy. Expect to see more of it in coming elections.
  12. Well, you have to consider the effect of the voting public as it relates to the conditions at the border as well. 85,000,000 +\- people voted for the current president, a guy shepherding and guiding the crisis at the border the last 50 or so years. What would you expect would change when you keep telling him his skillset makes him a great candidate to lead the free world AND our border security? You get what you pay for, Andy.
  13. You linked to democrat leadership alleging a stolen election and impugning the integrity of our elections. It wasn’t Russians who did that, it was American officials spreading fear, doubt and trust in the process. The point is, as with most other issues they pretend to be outraged about, they completely accept Stop the Steal type politicking so long as it furthers the agenda they support.
  14. The problem imo is that there are far too many people in positions of power who stand to lose in a cleaned up DC for someone to survive a consistent and sustained assault on every aspect of one’s life. The way I see it, people in power will coordinate and strategize with others only to the point it doesn’t cost them. They’ll push back against an adversary only to the point that they can avoid scrutiny in their lives. Eventually, you run out of allies. Does it really matter to Mitch McConnell if Trump survives politically? Lindsay Graham? They fundraise off the conflict. They run in the same circles as Pelosi et al, tell their supporters to stay tuned, and nothing is accomplished except they get older, fatter and richer. Add to that the stooge crowd represented here. There is not an allegation that can be made against Trump they will not swallow hook, line, and sinker. I’m thinking Trump has filed personal income taxes for 55 years, been involved in corporate returns for just about as long. Now, we’re to believe that in all those years, the IRS and various states are so incompetent that they need a high profile politically motivated AG from a liberal state to sniff out fraud on an order of billions of dollars over many years? What does that say about the value of federal and state tax agencies? So, the game is multi-tiered. It doesn’t matter that the DNC and Mueller struck out. Doesn’t matter that Vindman struck out. Doesn’t matter that Stormy Daniels struck out and owed Trump a $h$T ton of money. Doesn’t matter the cost to taxpayers to pursue the many ways they’ve decided to pursue him. Doesn’t matter that the prior investigation in NY struck out. The plan is for a constant, never-ending assault on him personally and financially until ultimately he ends up broke, emotionally shattered or dead. Meanwhile, we get simps here grandstanding on people being “above the law” in spite of volumes of evidence that lots of people are above the law. Hell, they vote(d) for some of those people.
  15. All those ladies in your section looking for a sugar daddy probably keeps you busy, too.
  16. This story is tragic on many levels. Deception, promises made and broken…but ultimately it seems to tell the story that northern liberals ultimately didn’t care about the families. Ted Kennedy, he of the fake neck brace and abandoned/drowned staffer fame, showed up for a photo op, hit the bricks and never looked back. The family in the story ended up in the projects in Boston, living under very difficult conditions. (Perhaps, if any of these people were vulnerable female, fair-skinned and blonde, they might have caught the attention of all the Kennedy boys, but that’s a topic for another thread) I completely understand the human suffering, duplicity and just plain ugliness of the southern segregationists, but I’m struggling to see where the liberal Yankees come out looking much better here. Rather, it seems really, when you cut through the politics, it seems no one really gave a crap about these people. Or, perhaps, symbolically they cared, but in the practical sense, it is easier to care when the struggle is 2,000 miles away in the Deep South. Which brings me back to today, and my feeling that nobody in the political world really gives a crap about any of these people. The border is a mess, the death and suffering is obvious and sustained, and both parties have blood on their hands.
  17. I can live with that. Undisciplined as well on a McD team.
  18. I think when you actually swing and connect it’s no longer false bravado. It’s just bravado.
  19. I would think given the political environment in Washington during the Trump admin, it would be an appropriate choice to request a preemptive pardon to plan for political chicanery. Besides, we can look at the history of pardon(s) and know that some scuzzy people got a pretty sweet deal not because of who they are, or what they did, but because of who they knew.
  20. I don't put much stock in some of these newfangled Twitter posts, but last year, in KC, the pressure ratcheted up exponentially. The season was on the line. The talent on the other offense was exceptional. It was do or die. JA delivered, and the Bills O as a whole performed at an exceptionally high level. Skip should pause, ponder and consider before posting.
  21. I used the blind guy the other day on you, and you probably count yourself among the sighted. We'll call it even.
  22. I understand from reading your replies that you’re struggling to comprehend. I’ve used simple words, simple concepts and question marks where appropriate. The disco guy was uncalled for, however. I have never been able to master the dance. Now you know.
  23. @Tiberius can't think much beyond the surface of an issue, and it limits his perspective. That's why he celebrates the chaotic withdrawal without further comment--as if there was no option but to expose those service members and pro-America Afghanis to death and injury. Where Putin is concerned, Pelosi said Trump was in Russia's pocket, and because she said it, he believes it in spite of all the evidence to the contrary. He believes it to the point that after blabbering nonsense for nearly 5 years about collusion and the cozy relationship that never materialized, the fact that Putin invaded on Biden's watch is a major disconnect that he cannot wrap his head around. Your question has the potential to put Tibsy in the hospital. All I know is the facts are clear: Crimea was invaded on Obama/Biden's watch; Tibsy and his crew whined about Trump and Russia, but Russia stayed out of Ukraine when Trump was in office ; In spite of tough talk, bluster and bravado, Putin invaded Ukraine very early in a Biden presidency; Even using Tibsy's "The evil dictator in Trump's pocket decided to wait for less friendly circumstances to invade and risk the wrath of Biden" completely dopey scenario, Biden has 5 decades of experience at the highest levels of our government. Are we to assume he had no answer to the Russian scourge, no plan in place to pre-empt Putin other than to play catch up as Ukrainian citizens are slaughtered? Again, weakness. One interesting aspect of this is the impact on the energy sector internationally. It's no secret that dem leadership wants to put a knife through the heart of energy independence and push on to green energy. There are stories circulating about UN/European leaders warning against a fall-back to fossil fuels to keep people from freezing to death during the winter. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2022/6/14/un-chief-slams-delusional-fossil-fuels-dash-amid-ukraine-war So....Russia stays home during the Trump pitch for America first and energy independence...then invades Ukraine about 20 minutes after Biden assumes office...and an energy crisis quickly ensues....and the UN scolds nation's and dictates how and why a sovereign nation should care for it's people during the time of crisis. What an epic catastrophe to have people freezing in their homes, the story line being about over-reliance on oil from a hostile foreign nation, and the need to move away from it. As long as he stays off my lawn, he can make all the jokes he wants. Programming note: Will Ferrell, he of L'Ron Burgundy fame, is 55 years old.
