Let's just establish a bottom line here. Trump is a scumbag who winks at white supremacists. Trump's supporters, at best, support a scumbag. At worst, they too are scumbags. The debate was a travesty in which Trump's petulance, boorishness, and rudeness deprived the American people of an opportunity for the exchange of ideas with respect to ways in and methods by which our country could be improved. It was a disgrace.

More on the Proud Boys. Too much self-love in that group. https://www.thedailybeast.com/new-proud-boy-rules-less-fighting-less-*****

He didn't denounce anything. Read more carefully. He acknowledged that he was "willing" to condemn (entries 1-2), and that he was "prepared" to condemn (entries 3-4), but he didn't actually condemn. So you support this scumbag, you support what he stands for. Which is refusing to condemn white supremacy. *** Here's a link about your scumbag Proud Boy pals: https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate/extremist-files/group/proud-boys

Amen, brother. This is an historic low. One either stands against it or is complicit.

Yeah, this is the part I’m not clear on. Would I test positive immediately after contracting the virus? The next day? Two days later? Etc. If we’re on the shorter end of the spectrum, then it’s possible that that Titans players and personnel acquired the virus after playing the Vikings, which would be great news in terms of containing the intra- and inter-team spread.

Let’s take a deep breath here and start from scratch. What’s the incubation period? What I’m getting at is that it might be possible that the Titans picked this up after the game on Sunday (e.g., at a postgame celebration) and that it might be a “local” issue as opposed to something that affects multiple teams and players outside of a given social group. I will add this: driving through OP yesterday we saw a couple of our own guys hanging out without masks on at one of the local establishments. People have to live, and I don’t knock them for that. But the goal is to win the Super Bowl, and going to bars (which were very crowded, likely because of the weather) does not further that mission. So hopefully the Titans picked this up after the game, and hopefully it’s a lesson for our own guys to double down on precautions.

Perfect thread for the day. Based on the NYT article, it might seem that Trump’s foreign policy is to leverage his position as President of the United States of America to extract as much capital from foreign leaders for his own benefit as possible.

Charles Barkley on Breonna Taylor

Probable cause is a very low bar (supports your point), very easy to gin up (supports my point), and extremely difficult to challenge after the fact (reality that may need to change). -

No argument there. But not an issue if not executed in the middle of the night. -

So nobody who could confirm that Taylor and the BF heard it. Which is not surprising bc the warrant was executed at 1a when most of the world is asleep. -

Hoax. The warrant has the stink of something that was a bit ginned up insofar as the Taylor residence was concerned. Absent that, no incident. And hoax on your “most damage“ comment. You initially said that a narrative or words was the most damaging thing that occurred here. I believe that the loss of human life is the most damaging thing that has occurred. According to whom? You should stop focusing on this troll issue if you want to be my financial adviser. I can’t have my financial adviser worried about what some people say on the Internet. This myopia does not bode well for your chances to earn my business, sir. You’re getting all snowflakey on us if you’re worried about “malicious intent” of internet randos in this forum. Time to relax a bit! -
Caputo is a douchebag and he hangs out with douchebags. That said, I wish him well in his medical struggle and hope that he comes out just fine on the other side so he and I can go back to calling each other douchebags when he’s healthy.

“Correct address” is sort of the key to the whole thing. Was the address listed on the warrant? Yes. No doubt. But should the address have been listed on the warrant? That’s the question. And what was the link between Taylor and the target of the investigation? A small number of Amazon packages, or something of that sort, IIRC. Seems like a specious reason to search that apartment to this mind. And I take issue with your “most damage” comment. The narrative hasn’t caused the greatest damage. The loss of life is the greatest damage. Which has nothing to do with the narrative. See above. “Right apartment” depends on whether it should have been the subject of a warrant in the first instance. -

Please. Victim blaming. It’s also what happens when police ineptly raid the wrong home. -

Hoax. The racial strife of which this is a part has been amplified by Trump and certain dopes who follow him. Ahem. Lock her up? -

The issue was Donald Trump’s lack of empathy and understanding—you ignored it and deflected by changing the subject to Joe Biden. Happy Friday, hoaxer. -
I drive by the windmills in Lackawanna sometimes on the way in to work and I wonder whether Lackawanna is a bubbling windmill cancer cluster. Anyone there who doesn’t watch Fox News or OAN is going to be completely ambushed when the windmill cancer diagnoses start arriving.

The reality that people wake up to in 2020 is worse than any nightmare I’ve ever had. Putin, Corona, fake news, hoax this, hoax that, I’m not leaving, 5G towers causing coronavirus, invented election fraud. It just never ends with this guy and the dopes who follow him.
