Another reason why this administration is a bunch of a-holes. “Safe for the president” does not mean “SAFE FOR PEOPLE AROUND THE PRESIDENT.” They don’t give an eff about anyone but themselves.

Why would you say no as a war hawk? Doesn’t that mean that you like war? Or are you saying that, even as a war hawk, you think this is a stupid idea (because nobody attacked Trump and he acquired the virus through his own stupidity)?

I’m asking you. I think it’s pretty stupid to suggest that China is responsible for the federal incompetence in failing to meaningfully act to curb the spread of the virus. But others ascribe to that stupid idea. So it’s fair to ask whether they support the equally stupid idea of declaring war on China now that trump has been, in their eyes, “attacked.” I saw that earlier. Hilarious and true!

Hoax. He cancelled the only thing on his schedule today. Wimp. Maybe he’s short hydroxychloroquine. Yup. This is why he’s on the Fake News List and the Hoax List, among other lists.

There are some people here who blame China for the release of the COVID-19 virus and its spread in this country. That allegation has taken on new import with the President’s apparent infection with the virus. Of course the President could have taken certain precautionary measures, such as not flirting with junk science COVID-19 cures (hyrdoxychloroquine, medicinal Lysol) and, maybe, perhaps, wearing a mask when in a group setting. But that ship has sailed, and we now have many new questions before us. Given the view of some here that China, and only China, is responsible for the spread of this virus in our country, the question becomes whether China has elevated this situation to a new and dangerous level inasmuch as it has “attacked” our President. So, is it time to declare war on China? Discuss.

You and I rarely agree but I'm with you on this one.

Depends when he goes. The whole thing is a mess. I think it's too late to substitute in some places. Then the questions become whether any of those states have a law that punishes faithless electors and, if os, whether such law allows an elector to vote for different candidate should the designated candidate die before the electoral college meets. So, hypothetically speaking, I wonder whether those laws allow an elector in, say, Alabama to vote for Pence should Trump die between now and the time the Electoral College meets in December. So many complications here. I hope Barrett doesn't get it. Holy cow. I didn't even think of that.

I hate to say it but I wondered about this, too. Fake diagnosis so he can "recover" and try to link it to his point that the virus is a hoax, etc. It's a byproduct of having a hopeless liar in the Oval Office, and yet another reflection of how that office has been disgraced in the past 3.5 years. I have no intention of praying for this guy, but I don't wish him ill, and I especially don't want his minor child to become sick. So, said simply, "it is what it is."

Sorry to lose you. Best of luck and hope to "see" you soon. Substitute "dies" for "doesn't get better" and the answer (to the best of my knowledge) is yes. Replacing Trump on the ballots is the tricky part. That's a state by state issue. I'm sure we'll see a story about it in the next day or two. But we're close to the point where it's too late to replace him. Early voting, absentee voting, and printing logistics make the deadline to replace earlier than one might think.

Sooo . . . You still haven’t said that you’re not a Proud Boy. I’m a Catholic. Sometimes I wonder what Catholicism is. But that doesn’t mean that I’m not a Catholic. So please, sir, clarify that you are not a Proud Boy. You seem to be avoiding that issue. I apply the well-accepted, conventional, and undisputed meaning to that phrase: it is the belief that white people are superior to people of other races.

Rule #2, please. Ironically it was Trump who accused his opponent of using drugs in advance of the debate. Maybe Trump should be the one investigated for spiking up.
