  1. I think the article does a good job of answering your questions. It wasn’t 20k seats, it was 9,000 unsold seats that they lowered the price to ensure a sell out. They offered 9,000 other seat holders a refund for the difference in the original PSL price and the reduced price. So, you can easily check the capacity of the stadium to see the percentage of total seats this represents. And it seems clear they lost potential revenue by lowering the costs, but it seems doubtful they were in the red because of it, given the percentage of seats it represents. Your question about revenue isn’t really an either/or situation as you posed it; it does represent a loss of revenue and as a consequence, they did not make as much revenue as they had anticipated.
  2. The Jets also refunded the difference to 9,000 PSL holders who had already purchased in the reduced price sections, per the article I linked. The reduced price was for 9,000 unsold seats.
  3. Ummm….because he was drunk? Drinking to excess and poor decision making go hand in hand. A better question is why he didn’t have someone with him for the evening to make sure he didn’t do anything stupid. He must have an agent, and you’d think the agent has a financial interest to make sure his clients are protected leading up to the draft. Definitely makes you pause before giving the guy your millions and valuable roster/cap space.
  4. “Higgins said the team was sending an e-mail Friday to alert fans of the reduced prices in the $1.6 billion stadium. Lower end-zone seats will be dropped from $5,000 to $2,500, as will those in the mezzanine end zone. Seats in the lower-sideline section will be cut from $15,000 to $10,000.” Those are 2010 prices and given how long ago that was, those do seem rather steep, given the Bills are apparently changing similar amounts 14 years later. So the Jets may have overestimated the demand at those prices. Also, this is back when there were TV blackouts if the stadium wasn’t sold out 72 hours before the game. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2010/06/11/ny-jets-cut-prices-for-some-personal-seat-licenses.html
  5. Opinions of people who haven’t been to the presentation are fine, but @Mr Info gave a first hand account that is very different than the opinions of outsiders. So, take it for what it’s worth.
  6. Any indications that Legends has done this shameful practice elsewhere previously? Or is their first attempt at running the show like they are for the Bills?
  7. Well, the new PSL owners will be sitting on their gold fleece orthopedic pillows
  8. Isn’t the new stadium going to be taller than the current stadium? I thought I read that the new stadium will be as high as the light standards on the current stadium. I know the bottom won’t be as deep in the ground, so it will have to be higher than the current stadium. Also, the more north-south orientation won’t do anything to lessen the wind speed. I would say having a more enclosed design without open ends, like the current stadium, is going to be the biggest wind deterrent. It will be interesting to see how the wind confusion does/doesn’t work.
  9. The ol’ wife had to do some maintenance on me, if ya know what I’m talkin’ about.
  10. Maybe @Mr Info can give a quick recap of if and how it’s addressed in the PSL agreement. I would want some kind of explanation of how that would be addressed before I put that much money (15k - 50k) into it. For PSLs under about 5k, I wouldn’t care so much.
  11. I wonder what will happen with PSLs if they were to move. I suppose it will be SOL.
  12. Now that $50k PSL is looking a lot more attractive.
  13. I miss the races on the top of the 100-level suites! Toward the end of games, some drunk guy would climb up and start running! 🤣🤣
  14. Patrick Mahomes? (ducks and runs)
  15. Had a friend on this jury. They were sequestered for much of that time from what I recall. It was a nightmare for them.
  16. If this has been posted I’ll delete it. Interesting article and it “links” a Diggs tweet regarding Josh to the trade. https://sports.yahoo.com/stefon-diggs-trade-texans-bills-winners-and-losers-josh-allen-cj-stroud-afc-defensive-backs-and-more-204550045.html
  17. Trade 28 far enough down to get someone’s first next year and have a pair of 1s and 2s next year. Take advantage of the deep class this year and position yourself to do something special next year. The cap situation will be much better and the draft position will be much better. Use this year to prep for a big 2025.
  18. Da’Rick Rogers. Too soon for the HOF. Farewell my friend.
  19. I was just checking. It is off Route 20A, south of the field house and next to Lot 1 on the east side. County records show Brian Barco as owner, so the transfer hasn’t been updated in the web database. I saw a Reddit thread saying 2.5 million for the sale. Based on the county owning all the stadium property, I expect it was the county that bought the mud lot also. Erie County property records don’t have any land owned by the Bills.
  20. According to OnX app it looks like Erie County owns the Mud Lot, but that information is just a download from the county records and those take some time to reflect property transfers.
  21. Any idea what kind of values the Bills are paying for the other lots that I’ve read have been purchased?
  22. I gotta tell you, I had to show my wife the org chart comment because it really was hilarious. Well done. And you will forever be in TSW lore for posting your tax return. That was retatta-level genius.
