  1. Is it certain that Hackett is still calling the plays? I didn't see the entire game, but it seemed like every time they showed Marrone when the Bills were on offense, he was talking into his headset from behind his play sheet.
  2. Makes me want to drive from Syracuse to Buffalo just to fly Southwest http://www.ispot.tv/ad/7Nv5/southwest-airlines-smiles
  3. Not me. The Bills screw the pooch every game going into halftime. Thank God they got it figured out at the end of the game.
  4. "....but I am happy that Nate Hackett will be taking over as head coach, obviously"
  5. Hughes wearing 55 and running with flailing arms reminds me of Biscuit
  6. That site also has Van calling the second half and OT of the Comeback game for free download http://www.staffannouncer.com/houstoncomeback.htm
  7. To quote Doug Marrone: "Obviously"

  10. Trying to get the poster to accept your point is like trying to get the Bills to sign Incognito.
  11. from her bio, it's clear she made her money one prick at a time.
  12. That is not an attractive baby, but it's so close to Brody's looks, it's amazing. I wondered if they shaved it's head to get that receding orange hairline look....
  13. Didn't we already do that? We didn't cut him because we didn't have to - his contract expired. We brought him in for the last three games of 2009 and let him walk.
  14. Watched the first two episodes last night. Really liked both episodes, but the scene where Carrie was bathing her baby and letting it slip under water got really uncomfortable. That was pretty sick. Stick to blowing up wedding parties Homeland!!
  15. Also not new, but new to me: First Aid Kit http://www.npr.org/event/music/348966091/front-row-first-aid-kit-my-silver-lining
  16. Basten spoke briefly. "I would like to apologize for my actions," she said. There - we're all good now, right?
  17. Agreed - one of the last of the "classic" play-by-play guys left. I think he may be situated on the west coast and tries to limit his games to those in the west? I remember Charlie Jones did that.
  18. Yeah, I have never participated there - just happened to catch a glimpse. Not much of an enticement to spend any time there! Oh, and I missed the "snow" when I first caught it......
  19. "Whitaker was able to grab the ax from Hiser and hit her in the face and ran out of the room and called police, the report states." Well, that explains her mug shot!
  20. Whenever I look to peruse TSW, I sometimes catch a quick glimpse of the shoutbox; today my glance revealed: ".....my mom has pics of me snow blowing in shorts and t-shirt" WHOA - that freaked me out there for a second!
  21. http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/92155-origin-of-bills-charging-logo/ From the above; read more at link: Today's Buffalo News has an article noting the passing of Stevens Wright, credited with creating the Bills' charging bison logo which debuted in 1974. The article says Wright, who had worked as a free-lance artist for NFL Properties, came up with the logo on his own. However, Howard University, whose nickname is the Bison and whose logo is virtually identical to the Bills', claim the logo was created for them by a Howard art major in the 60s. Because they didn't copyright their logo, the Bills were able to take it for themselves.
  22. Kevin Drake - he was WR in 1999 preseason. Never made a stat sheet. I only know this because I have his #15 home jersey (bought it when they used to sell game worn jerseys - I took the random player option. They don't get any more random than Kevin Drake)
  23. bump I like this thread better than the other one.
  24. I would be shocked if the Bills didn't know everything that was in that article. I bet they took Mayock's approach and decided to spin the wheel on the prospect with the best combination of physical skills and potential, knowing it was a crapshoot. Bet they thought they could "coach him up". Unfortunately, it was a bad year for QBs when they needed one badly. True to Bills' luck, the year they needed one, there wasn't a slam dunk available, and their choice of Kolb was equally doomed (in true Bills' fashion). Maybe one will fall in our lap next year.....before Orton gets alcohol poisoning.
