  1. That's a good one too. Or Rock 'em! Sock 'em!! Bob Corkum???
  2. I guess you don't have to step on the railing and lean against the window 'Ferris Bueller' style anymore.
  3. I enjoyed that one as well.
  4. They have two courses at World Woods Golf Club that ranked near the middle of Golf Digest's "Top 100 Places You Can Play" (which means Public and Resort courses, i.e. not Private). They were way up in the rankings in Top Affordable Places You Can Play.
  5. This game just further illustrated how far we still have to go. The score may have been respectable but Brazil dominated throughout. They controlled the ball for much of the game, outshot us by a 3-1 margin, and had many more scoring opportunities. It could have been ugly.
  6. Bunny: Uli doesn't care about anything. He's a Nihilist. The Dude: Ah, that must be exhausting.
  7. "Well, what's so great about a Mom and Pop store? Let me tell you something. If my Mom and Pop ran a store, I wouldn't shop there."
  8. How is Angie's List for roofers in Amherst/Tonawanda area? I don't want to join it and find out there are two reviews.
  9. To bust watching the Open. But I will DVR Wed's game.
  10. I tend to root against Phil because I've heard him say several times he grew up with a green in his backyard - so he was kinda advantaged. But I still root for him over Vijay. That guy always struck me as a prick.
  11. That's the "casual water" rule http://golf.about.com/od/rulesofgolf/a/golfrulesglance_4.htm
  12. I like both the US and British Opens the most when they play public courses - particularly when they play affordable ones like Bethpage.
  13. I haven't seen the remake. I liked the original. I saw it maybe 3 years ago when I DVRd it off HBO5 or whatever. I didn't know anything about it. The title just caught my eye because of the reference in the Beastie Boys song On a side note: I'm guessing that is where Tarantino got the inspiration for the color name aliases in Reservoir Dogs.
  14. I saw them once at the HFStival when I was living in Arlington. Must've been 96 or 97. I thought The Presidents of the United States of America stole the show. Anyhow... I saw this in the Buffalo News: "Buy a premium ticket for $42.50 plus taxes and fees and, in addition to a seat under the roof at Darien Lake's amphitheater, you get a free digital download of No Doubt's entire catalog."
  15. One of my favorite scenes in Ruthless People is when Judge Reinhold is explaining to Helen Slater how "we have to be ruthless" as he scoops a spider up on a magazine then releases him outside.
  16. I've never done it but can't you have a phone number blocked?
  17. I couldn't resist rewriting this headline: http://www.buffalonews.com/cityregion/story/693635.html
  18. Good thing Mexico is in disarray or I could see this team not qualifying.
  19. Yeah the Brit Mick accent was funny. But the crack about the Camaro really cracked me up.
  20. Happy Birthday! After listening to WGR this morning, I can inform you that you share Howard Simon's birthday too
  21. The cities won't rise as the state continues to crumble Although, this is probably not the right forum for that discussion
  22. Yeah - no $h!te - it shouldn't have taken him much more than a minute to turn his boat around and get over there
  23. Actually it's in the part where NotLocke says: "And you have no idea what I've been through..."
