  1. A few thoughts after reading this thread and watching the finale again last night: When Ben is giving his "What About Me?" speech he says something like: "And when he asks to see you, he gets marched straight up here as if he were Moses." Then the screen shows Locke 2.0 making a little smirk. I'm not sure what to make of this Moses reference yet, and how it fits into the Jacob/Esau mythicism, but I thought it was noteworthy. Jazzy - You could be on to something here. There's a part in the penultimate scene, I think where Jacob says "I see you found your loophole" then they cut to Locke 2.0 where I faintly heard that trumpet-like sound you hear when the smoke monster attacks. Later, when talking to Kate, Jack says about exploding the thermonuclear device that: "nothing in my life ever felt so right." This indicates that Jack doesn't fully understand his role and that destiny or fate is exerting itself.
  2. I don't think you can beat Johnny Cash's cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Hurt". But I have two that might be ranked #2 and #3: 1. Jeff Buckley covering Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen which I heard for the first time less than a year before he drowned 2. For Squirrels - Mighty KC which was released a couple months after the lead singer and bassist died in a car accident I'm sure someone can nominate something by Elliott Smith
  3. 8 of 10. Missed the Journey one. #8 I listened to 4 or 5 times. I guess I just don't know the bass line from that song that well.
  4. This is what I really want to know also. Supposedly they have seat back video and WiFi. However, their website doesn't mention much. As far as being late, what can you do? It's NYC. The airlines are even worse. I just saw that JFK, LaGuardia and Newark rank #1, 2 and 3 for most delays at 47%, 48% and 49%.
  5. Anyone try Megabus yet? I'm considering travelling with them from Buffalo to NYC
  6. Actually there are two decent courses there: Holiday Valley and Elkdale around the backside of the mountain.
  7. And a guaranteed sellout anyhow.
  8. I have to drive to NYC tonight. Are there any radio stations you could suggest in Syracuse and Binghampton that might have the game on?

  11. The Como is the Apple Tree Mall Business Park now. Theaters are long gone. That place on Elmwood is also closed. I think it's a Home Depot now. You still have the Movieland 8 in Cheektowaga - the old Thruway mall cinemas. Prices are cheap there. http://www.fandango.com/TheaterPage.aspx?l...5&tid=AARFF
  12. I once swam from Boston's Long Wharf to France's Terminal Grande-Bretagne while trying to follow my Google directions
  13. Way better than Lynn Westmoreland did!
  14. Nope! Niow it's Kozlov's goal on Clemmenson. Did you save it? Can you post it somewhere?
  15. To those who asked, MSG will carry all the games in the first two rounds of the playoffs that NBC isn’t airing. That assumes the Sabres advance past the first round. Versus may do some games but wouldn’t have exclusivity. Versus and NBC share the games after the first two rounds, meaning Rick Jeanneret and Jim Lorentz are exiled to radio. Versus will carry between 15 and 20 games in the first round, about the same number in the second round and between six and 12 games in the conference final. It gets the first two games of the Stanley Cup finals, NBC the rest. http://www.buffalonews.com/214/story/48671.html
  16. I dunno - it's glossy and slick - but doesn't go into too many details. I usually like more in depth reporting. That great white shark attack was cool though.
  17. Stuck there myself now.
  18. Damn - I missed that too. I was so looking forward to planning which road games to attend. They are all in the east this year and 6 of 8 are easily driveable. Oh well, I guess it's back to the Masters leaderboard!
  19. Nevermind - I'm an idiot. Got it now.
  20. Help - still stuck on Level 3. What am I missing?
  21. I must be missing something. I can't get past #3.
  22. One that always bugs me is from Tom Cochrane's "Life is a Highway" I love you now like I loved you then This is the road and these are the hands It doesn't rhyme nor make sense. And when you hear him sing it, his voice tries to hide it by dropping in volume, like he knows how awful it is
  23. Wow - Level 16 "Consequence" was brutal. I could barely finish in time moving as fast as I could. I'm now stuck on Level 17 "Parallel" - do you need to save all 3 boxes? Because I can't get that top box around the loop fast enough.
  24. We need change, we need it fast Before rock's just part of the past 'Cause lately it all sounds the same to me!
