He had the money for a 5 star restaurant when he got here, then decided a bunch of fast food pigouts was more advantages...the cap mess is 100% his doing. Only guys on this team with cap numbers and term that he inherited are Risto and Okposo...he has re- singed or traded for every other single player Huh? Past week was their bye no? BTW, cant wait to see the old axiom come out tonight"took them a while to get their legs, and by that time was to late" and "hey . after all Ottawa had the benefit of playing last night and the Sabres have been off for while, what can ya expect?"...as an explanation of why they lose to a bottom feeding tam with like 4 road wins

plenzmd1 replied to sunshynman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good for him, it is is hometown team and the team he grew up wanting to play for. He always gave 100% in Buffalo, so no worries there- 118 replies

Chargers moving on from Philip Rivers after 16 years
plenzmd1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is my point. He has moved to Florida to be closer to family, can’t see him playing for a team unless it is in driving distance from his house. -

I would think he is done. I mean he would not move from San Diego and commuted back and forth every day to be with his family..cant see why that would change now. -

well, i can tell you that after having gone with the Bills, no ore for me. I always reserve a hotel in Buffalo from the Saturday night before the game through Wednesday just in case the Bills make it and the Parade is on Wednesday! And to your first sentence, the Super Bowl is not really a football game in the traditional sense, and it is unlike any other sporting event I have ever been to. Trust me, you have the right idea going to Buffalo, i would never even consider going to the game unless it was all expenses paid, and even then think i would rather be in Buffalo
-
as i said, i don't think you have ever been to a Super Bowl. This is not some regular ole game you just roll up to the lot and park. I guarantee every car going in a stadium lot is inspected with dogs, mirror under the car , trunk inspected etc and any tailgating supplies confiscated as you enter, plain and simple. And yes, if you disobeyed one those guys direction in the lot you would be hauled off in a second with no thoughts. Man, even the Bills Super Bowls pre 9-11 the security was up the wazoo. Never even thought to tailgate at one of those, I can only imagine what it is like now

Not to mention Vegas sucks donkey junk now for this old man who started going there in the mid 80's. Hate that city now, one giant price gouging joint after another, and stupid people more than willing to pony up for it!!! Now get me my .$.25 shrimp and $.50 Bud drafts back on Freemont!!!!!!( along with my 100X odds on crap!) Vines is out bro. When people as dumb as you know about it?, tells ya the cool people long ago abandoned the brand. Pretty easy to stop when Federal Marshals with assault rifles walk up to you in the lot and say move along now, or we gunna have an issue. Again, this has nothing to do with the NFL making money..NADA!!! has everything to do with security and what is mandated by both the stae and federal authorities, and especially those agencies dealing with terrorism. The NFL, i guarantee you, not only does not people to tailgate, they don't want people to PARK at the stadium. Way to big of a process to check every car, the liability and exposure if something happened in a lot is way more riskier than the $200 or whatever they are charging is worth
-
Guessing you have never been to a Superbowl. Parking Lot attendant least of your worries, all the feds with assault rifles patrolling the lots might be a little more intense. You would do what they say, not one freaking question asked. This is not about money, its about security and the biggest event in America every year, prime target if someone wants to make a statement Agreed, although I do not love that stadium..what better place for a game? I am okay with a New Orleans permanent site

New Internet Rumor about Bills - getting 3 Primetime games
plenzmd1 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@eball, i said a long time ago, Bills-Pats either the Sunday nighter to kick off the year, or the early Monday night game..both at Buffalo. No matter what Brady does, stay or go, compelling storyline to the game..plus the stadium always comes across as a great atmosphere on TV.. And yep, Nashville is one away game next year..dont know that it will be "the" game for a takeover, but its the one place where i can fly cheap from Richmond!!!! -
Super Bowl Tickets Selling for Record Amount
plenzmd1 replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Long story, but here goes.. 1) Wisconsin makes Rose Bowl Janiary 94, first time in 30 years. Murray's Tickets in LA sells all kinds of packages to Wisconsin fans, figuring they will be able to easily fulfill the ticket piece as they always have. Hotel was the Pasadena Holiday Inn,which was a very nice hotel at the time, where my sister was controller and another ex Buffalonian was GM( how we received free tickets to game in Super Bowl in Rose Bowl). Murray's did not anticipate the crush of Wisconsin fans, and could not fulfill the bulk of the ticket obligations. The Wisconsin folks partied pretty hard at the Holiday INN bar for 3 days all charged to rooms..all walked on their bill. Huge loss for the hotel. Fast forward a month and Murray's exec told my sister to head to Atlanta, as a way of a partial apology they would get us tickets to the game. Sunday at 2PM, we still aint got no tickets! Same thing was happening there and tickets were running like $2500/per, and looked like we made the trip for nothing as they said tickets were way more expensive than anticipated. The GM then pulled the strongest move i have ever seen...he called the CEO at Murray's, said sorry the 300 rooms you got booked for the World Cup Final are going away unless my folks in ATL have tickets in the next 30 minutes. Got a call in 5 minutes with tickets in hand at 2:15, and awesome seats at that! Ticket scalping was a different world back then! BTW, was in the hall way smoking half a pack of Marlboros with my brother for halftime..same feeling as halftime at Texans game...this is OUR Time!!!!when will i ever learn!!!! -
well, 2 reasons i can think of 1) Short term.if it goes away, teams may be willing to spend more of the cap THIS year..bigger bonuses, more guaranteeed money upfront , all good stuff for the players 2) longer term..no rollover could result in the same as above..if a team has cap space this year and it is a use it or lose it situation, more teams may extend players, move guaranteed money into current year etc. Seems all good to the players. I think roll over of cap is something teams want, not players..but i am open to why that may not be the case

Super Bowl Tickets Selling for Record Amount

My first thought was so much money in the Bay Area, it would drive the prices up. Second thought was so many tech bro’s don’t watch football anyway, so now I am lost.
